Very homey and comfortable place! The food is delicious, served by extremely friendly people, and most importantly... the taste is perfect! It's definitely an abuela approved place to eat. 10/10 would recommend!

Que Rico! I come from Westfield because in my opinion there is NO better Puerto Rican food around. They are fast, friendly, and the food is absolutely delicious. There is a reason they have been in business so long, they know what they are doing! I have been coming here since I was a little girl. Please never ever close! Lol

Amazing place. The food is incredible. Everything about it perfect. From the moment you enter the door. Family feeling and it's beautiful. The smell of the food, taste and texture an experience I won't forget. I will definitely eat there again and again and again..

The food is amazing here. It is located in a old Town in which had some nice vibes. I ordered the platter with rice, pork, and beans. This is a must combo. The rice is wonderfully seasoned and directly complements the pork. Pork is tender and juicy! I love my pork salted well and this place does that exactly. The beans are amazing with the rice. I mixed them in and this enhances the food to the next level! Yum!

Went there for the first time today. My only regret is that I didn't go sooner. Oh my God the food was rediculous and I mean that in a good way. It was amazing, awesome, incredible, delicioso!!!! Hope I spelled that right. It reminded me of my Momma's cooking, I actually cried!!! I remembered her and smiled so they took me back and gave me something no place ever has. Thank you. It's more than I heard it would be and even better than I thought. I strongly suggest everyone go here and tell them, "The guy you made cry recommended you". If they were around when Jesus was physically here, he might have stuck around a little longer. God bless your restaurant...

The food is pretty good. I got the stewed chicken on dirty rice. From the outside it doesn't look too great, but it is very clean. Portions are very large.

Lovely hole in the wall in Holyoke. Cafeteria-style check out but very pretty and welcoming decor, and very clean. I'm not even sure what I ate, everything was going so fast through the line, but it was a very tasty chicken and tomato dish. I also had the rice with shrimp and the homemade tres leches cake was sinfully good.

Pretty busy, but the Ladies had it under control and kept the line moving. Amazing meal. Happy I stopped in.

I was having the worst day and my friends and I stopped to get some food here, just randomly. I knew they would enjoy the food but I'm vegan and tbh I expected I would end up cooking a meal when I got home. To my delight, not only did they have vegan options, but they also said if I call ahead, they can make even more vegan options! I went with her recommendation and forgot to even check the name of the first dish. I think it was camote, which is traditionally served with eggs but totally didn't need them to taste great. And they made a yucca (cassava) that made me finally understand why people like yucca. La Isla also has 3 types of homemade drinks but I was so eager to get the tamarind, I forgot to check what the other 2 were. My friends got soup, a meat dish, a chicken dish, and 2 different cake slices. They were thrilled and ate too fast for me to get photos. This is a must-visit!

You go in and the first thing that you see is a big smile, and them welcoming you. Every since I got a job near them they havent failed to make me smile, feel comfortable and make me and my tummy happy, LOL. they are great, their food is great. Is so good that i am slowly going through their menu almost every day. NExt time ill have to taste their oatmeal cuz according to the doordash reviews is on their top 5 meal as number 2 with the mangu being number 1. Yall should go. is it good, delicious and the price is my fav thing. I have nothing bad to say but all good things.

Some of the best Puerto Rican food I’ve ever had. I went to another place near by, does not compare. Will be stopping by multiple times this week.

"...modest cafet. for PR food..." I think should NOT B pared w/this new ownership restaurant. Local PR's feared the food would have a DR slant as it is cooked by them? Local whites looked at the prices and said "not modest". Not the distant whites (above the tofu curtain, have to triple these costs to effect them). It certainly IS a cafet. Food is good. Seems plentiful to this ol guy (we dont eat as much as the kids). I like ALL the Caribe ppl, food, islands. I can bearly tell the foods apart (well, jamaican stands out a lill, not sure I've had Cuban B side 'the sandwich'). Cant wait till I'm able to sail the Is. again (way larger than the Met, as big as usa - Bermuda to Venezuela). Try "The Island" if U like the fair you'll like this~

I love this place. The staff are the nicest, warmest individuals and the food is just delicious. The mondongo is fire, also the pernil and the chicharrón. I keep having happy flashbacks of everything I've tried there. I want to thank the lady working there that gave me a free coffee out of just being nice, and how she was really interested in everyone in the place having the best experience and get us to try the best things. You can taste the love in the food. Perfect comfort, homesyle food.

The food and service at La Isla is outstanding! It is served buffet style and the servers are generous. The restaurant is spartan but clean. It would be awesome if they could sell beer or if they allowed BYOB. This is the place to go for a quick lunch or dinner that tastes amazing.

Farewell to one of the best restaurants that provided quality Spanish meals for decades in Western MA. Your family will be truly missed ❤️

I'm so sad this place is closing. Best pork and rice I've ever had. We used to use their catering service too for large parties. I have tried making the rice myself but it never comes out nearly as good.
