The store with the most beautiful holiday feeling in Washington Square is Macy's. Just seeing the holiday decorations made it relaxing while I shopped, mask on. It is spotless, and hand sanitizers are easy to find. They have excellent holiday shopping areas with gifts boxed and ready to go. Ladies fashion, cosmetics, jewelry, men's cologne and clothing, and home accessories are easy to shop. This Macy's has lots of parking and easy to find curbside pickup for online orders. If you enter the 1st floor from the garage door, you will easily find the pickup/return counter. Entrance doors are ADA accessible and have a button for the automatic door opener. Inside the store, the aisles and shopping areas area easily ADA accessible. Mall parking has ADA spots near all the entrance areas. Thanks for helping me to remember to believe in the season Macy's.

Had been to Macy’s near Washingtonsquare. It’s a huge store with wide varieties. Staff service is good.

Went in tonight to get some cologne samples for my boyfriend, the young kid who approaced me said they don't give out samples. Makes it difficult to decide on something that will work for him and I. Also, very certain they do give out samples, as I've gotten perfume samples for myself before. Was definitely a weird uncomfortable experience...Posting so I remember not to go to this Macy's lol

They started 30% off for friends & family today… I had 30 items in my cart from last night so I went to check out… they all doubled in price… All of them! They marked all the items up 100% so they could promote an “additional “ 30% off. That’s a super shady business practice & I’m officially done with Macys.

Went to this location in search of a prom dress, not expecting to find anything good and waste hours in all the stores. Luckily, we found an amazing dress and had an amazing sales worker in the process. Michael did an incredible job engaging in conversation and helping the checkout go as smoothly as possible. He was amazing with recommendations, and even inspired my child to join the debate team. Thank you, Michael!

Lots of good holiday sales! Clothing racks were an extreme mess with people the wrong items on the wrong rack. Frustrating for sure cause you think your buying an item for 70% off and reality it's 15% off cause it's in the wrong place. Macy's is always a busy store.

They really need to hire more people. I was here on a Sunday and it’s not even the holiday season yet. There is not enough people working in any department. All the lines are long and we even got turned away because the cashier hadn’t gotten a chance to take their break yet. The people look tired and overwhelmed which tells me they are trying to cover too much work.

If you're thinking about buying oriental rugs from Macys, our advice is don't. We bought two expensive rugs. We were charged for rugs we never ordered, and for ones we canceled because they weren't in stock. They did credit us eventually. Delivery woes. Worse was that we thought Macy's would take care of delivery, which was expensive. Boy were we mistaken. They contract with FedEx and then wash their hands of it entirely. They take zero responsibility for the delivery process. Here's what happened. First, they delivered a rug we hadn't ordered and which Macy's had no tracking number for. Second, they delivered a rug on the requested day and time, but they forced my 70 year-old husband to take the rug from the truck. Third, they delivered a rug to the wrong address on the wrong day and time. Fourth, we paid to change the delivery dates, times, and addresses. One was OK, the other was not. We've great service when Macy's delivered furniture-not the rugs, tho.

Yasameen in Women’s shoes was extremely helpful. She went out of her way to help me find the perfect shoes for me. I don’t generally write reviews but I felt I truly needed to share my experience.

I have been going to this Macy's store since they opened back in the '70s I think. I also worked for them in 2016. I went in today mid-morning, to return an item. There were checkout stations everywhere that were completely empty. There were only two open, and at both there were lines of mile long. I ended up having to leave and return my item via UPS instead of at the store where I would have had instant credit. Also since they've changed the store interior so much it's difficult to find what you're looking for. And there are no sales associates to be found anywhere on the floor. This was on the 29th of November 2023. And guess what it's not even December yet. I would recommend ordering and returning things online if you don't have the patience for this kind of nonsense. In another thing, the coupons that they send you in the mail $20 off $30 off they exclude more than they include. Lost leaders to get you into the store or to drag you on to their website. I would cancel the card but it would be a hard hit against my credit FICO since I've had this card for over 40 years. Avoid if you don't have the patience

Macys is the most welcoming, warmest and most stocked store in the entire mall. In addition, the mood is already for Black Friday (with significant discounts) and end-of-year celebrations.

Bijan in the Men's department, and Ala the tailor, were friendly, fast, and very helpful. I had an urgent situation that required purchasing and hemming two pair of dress slacks within a few hours. They went out of their way to to help me, and I am grateful!

Not much selection for teens for dressy clothing. Also, they don't have any people there who help. There are workers for different brands and it was pretty lacking in customer service. They were very nice, at least. :)

Mom and I went specifically to resolve an issue with her account. They could not help us over the counter, but here is a phone number to call - I don't agree with this impersonal service, but hey, corporate knows best, right? On the flipside, I did find three really cute women's tops on clearance.

Wow! I ordered things online and returned them in store only to see an employee totally disgusted by me. She suggested I “never order things online.“ Also, the last time I was here, was at Christmas and the escalator from floor 1 to 2 was broken. It still is …in MAY! Are they just letting this place go? Do the employees not care anymore? What happened to their customer service? Why are they telling me to not shop online? I will try my best to never shop here again.

Store looked great, bright, pretty well organized, clean, there weren't a lot of clothes people had looked at and thrown back on a display that were just left there. It looked like they made a point of keeping it organized. They had lots of options to look at. The only problem we had was having to go to section after section (some areas were set up by brand for example) to find all the options for a specific item. For example, we were looking for a certain style of black jeans or casual pants. There were at least 5 or 6 places we had to look for them, instead of the pants being grouped at least reasonably close to each other. We had to go to one brand's section and look at their choices, then go to the next one, and the next one, and so on and so on. I realize that may be somewhat dictated by the display requirements of the different designers, just like some brands of goods at other types of stores. So, that's my thoughts anyway. Hope it helps.

I come to Macy's for cologne or if I'm getting someone a gift. I appreciate the variety they offer on their products and also the varied price points of like items. All in all Macy's is a great retail store with great options and varieties.

My friend from Qatar recently was helped by Anne McAvoy in Washington Square. She has asked me to submit a review for her because Anne was so wonderful. Anne was very helpful. My friend can’t say enough good things about her shopping experience. I hope Macy’s management will see this and reward her, accordingly. Great service is rare in the retail world, sometimes. Her service was impeccable and made my friend’s day!

This Macy's is gross. If you are thinking of shopping here, simply skip it. It's dirty and the customer service is a zero. I figured this was just retail nowadays then I took a trip to California. Stores like Macy's are fine down there. Apparently, it's just our store that sucks. Macy's HQ needs to put this one out of its misery.

Stopped in a couple of days ago to check out cologne for a gift. I went in so unprepared and didn't know where to even begin. The staff in the men's department were so helpful! They took me around to some popular scents and also told me what other colognes it may be comparable to. This made the trip quick and really enjoyable. This experience really made me happy and I will visit here for fragrances again in the future.

Dee, at the men's fragrance counter, is the absolute BEST! She truly knows her stuff, and was very helpful while guiding me through my selections. She was so awesome yesterday, I confidently purchased two different fragrances for different occasions and I'm already getting tons of compliments the first time I wore one of them today! Dee, you're amazing and I can't thank you enough for your excellent customer service!

Bag collection was good. Shoe collection was poor and service was pretty terrible probably due to low staffing. You had to take your shoe to the counter and request them to see if your size was available and wait 10 mins to get every shoe you wanted try. Billing also took over 20 mins. Only one person was doing billing and looking for shoes so it was a disaster. Wouldn’t recommend going here on a weekend at all.

Every time I go here they are very busy. But It's a great atmosphere. Especially during the holiday season. my daughter and I recently went there to buy a dress for her to wear to homecoming dance. They have an enormous selection of formal dress wear. Alot of the dresses were discounted 60 to 75% percent off. So we got a great deal on her dress. I actually couldn't believe how cheap it was.

Bijan is a great associate who helped me with credit application questions. Emily with Hugo Boss was an excellent associate. Her enthusiasm and willingness to assist is something amazing. She even contacted me after I left my number to update me on new Hugo Boss releases. She also helped me with my credit card application and pointed out the great discount offers. Really convenient that Macys has an Amex card. Both Emily and Bijan made the experience and money spent worthwhile. I look forward to shopping at Macys frequently to get help from these associates! 10 stars, but google only allows 5.

Went here from out of town and experienced the worst customer service I have ever had from a girl working in front of the bare minerals section today (7/21/22). She was extremely rude and seemed as though because we had non makeup items she made it a point to say she doesn’t do that but she guesses she can take us. After the initial response was not friendly whatsoever. Terrible customer service.

Two weeks in a row, the sweetheart at the Clinique counter has gone above and beyond. They were out of a product and she helped get it to me incredibly fast. She was an absolute pleasure to chat with both times! There may not be tons of clerks or even dressing rooms available, but she has made it beyond worth it for me to come and visit her. Thank you darling.

If I had a option to give zero stars I would. I got a beautiful dress and they didn’t even bother packing it correctly. I was handed the dress to put it bag. I had to ask them to put it on a hanger and fold my dress. Very poor customer service. Few of the clothes are on wrong racks and it’s really hard to find what you are looking for. Staff should respect customers and provide them with proper service, fold the clothes and put it in a bag.
