A very nice establishment. Solid menu. I enjoyed my steak salad and oysters. The Manhattan was delicious and the wine was excellent. They also made a fantastic cappuccino! A great setting for a really good meal. I will definitely come back!

Went for restaurant week but pricing ended at 7pm on Saturday. I got a free bewe and excellent service and excellent food. I got the T-Bone which was top notch covered in mushrooms. I thank you! My wife got the Kobe beef ans shrimp which melted in your mouth. Had a glass of red wine paired with my steak called Troublemaker. It was delicious. Thanks to all the servers and I will be back. Highly recommend this place.

The food here was very good. Presentation was nice, service was excellent. Next time I'll try some of their specialty drinks and dessert. The restaurant is very nice. While the food was very good, flavorful, and not salty which I appreciate, it is on the expensive side for what you are getting. I would return and look forward to trying some other items on the menu.

Lori the bartender was an absolute pleasure. She was very accommodating, and helpful. The other bartender was not. It took a long while to be greeted while he chatted with his regulars. I ordered a glass of wine to start and a menu. I wasnt offered the bar/happy hour menu or was told anything about happy hour. Three minutes after pouring one glass of wine, he gives me the check asking me to close out because the other bartender was coming on shift. He didnt ask if I wanted food or even if I liked the random wine he poured. I wasnt given a placemat and silverware like everyone else who ordered food. I wasnt offered bread like everyone else around me. I felt like I wasnt treated like a valued customer. I wound up not eating my burger because it came out too overcooked and I didnt want to send it back. I've been here before and had great service. I guess their hospitality standards have fallen.

Service was very good but the food was horrible! The calamari was like shoe leather and the shrimp was mushy. My husband is not a picky eater at all and he literally left his entire dish. We did the price fixed menu $40 pp. was not worth it we were totally ripped off

Ordered the mahi the fish was over cooked and dry. Smelted way too fishy to be fresh. Service was SLOW Expensive disappointment..

First time we tried this restaurant and I was so disappointed. I will say the wait staff and the hostess were great! The drinks were great! The food was absolutely terrible. The sushi roll we got was a fried ball of I don’t know what but it was not crab. We got the porterhouse steak and it was terrible. The mashed potatoes were so plain and dry and the sweet potato fry dipping sauce was spicy brown mustard. We spent 300 dollars on dinner and left extremely disappointed. The stars were for the kind attentive wait staff.

Was very busy. The older man working there, seemed liked the owner was kind of rude. The young men working there were kind and helpful. Went on a saturday night and being in a jewish community, the place was packed. If you want to place an order don't expect it to be ready quickly. Have patience. Or plan ahead or don't order on a Saturday.

I never post reviews, but food was very salty. We were party of 4 having different dishes and none of us liked it. Restaurant was beautiful, food - nicely decorated… but I think I drank a gallon of water so far.

Excellent food and service, trendy, located right on Main St in Smithtown, was just a little too loud for my liking, but overall great experience

Very disappointing. Bad service, all food on menu is deep fried and bartenders don’t know how to make drinks. Server never checked on us and we waited for half hour to ask for a check.

The waiter was wonderful! Nicest young man, but the food was awful. The only thing that was good was the bread and butter. My steak salad was mediocre at best. The salmon was not edible - it was so fishy and smelly-how it left the kitchen I don’t know. The appetizer was a buffalo chicken egg roll that was cold inside. I didn’t complain and asked for the food to be wrapped up politely because I felt bad saying anything because the young man serving us was so kind. I threw it all out when I returned home. Big disappointment. Maybe it was a bad day🤷‍♀️

This spot is worth a visit. They have big portions for affordable prices. Constantly neat and with good atmosphere. I highly recommend this place.

My wife and I ate here during restaurant week to check it out. They have new customers now. We checked out the complete menu and are excited to go back and try some of their other items. The food was great and the service was great. I would give 4.5 stars if I could. The bathrooms were the only down side for us. They aren’t horrible but could use a little refreshing.

Picture perfect dinners loaded with fresh flavor. The take out is equally stunning in preparation, packaging and presentation. The oysters are always fresh the way it should be. The staff is great with outstanding order to table/pick up times.

One of my favorite spots to grab a good meal for reasonable prices. Service can be spotty at times but it's usually good (and has gotten better our last few visits). I love a spot where you can go and, no matter what, you have an "Old Faithful" on the menu that you can always rely on. Highly recommended.

We really like this place. It's a fun atmosphere and the food is good. I love the warm burrata app and skirt steak. Wish they had regular French fries though. Service is always good.

Came here to celebrate a birthday dinner and everything was amazing. Great menu, amazing food, and fantastic service. We ordered the peanut thai shrimp, buffalo chicken spring rolls, tuscan chicken, seared tuna, and gorgonzola steak. I highly recommend this place for a great date night, happy hour, or nice night out. Super nice interior and great bar as well.

Drinks and food are too notch. We had Fig Martinis, lychee mules, onion soup, pasta fagioli, skirt steaks and rainbow cookie cakes. Everything about this place is full of class and the staff were true gentlemen. Will definitely be back for more. 15/10 in my book.

Outstanding food and drink, generous portions at a good price. Atmosphere is nice, but when full it gets very noisy. Service seems slow, but it really isn't, we attribute it to the time and care taken prepping the meals. Worth the patience.

Wanted to try this place out for Restaurant Week. We originally had reservations for 2 at a high top at 6:45, and then I called to ask if we could add a third to the high top. I was told no, it would be too tight to fit 3, and the next available reservation time for 3 was 8:30. So I took it. We walked in at 8:30 and our table wasn’t ready, so we went to the bar for a drink and saw that two different high tops had 3 people at them. After 10 minutes at the bar, we asked to see a menu and that’s when we were told that the Restaurant Week menu ended at 7. We left. I checked the Restaurant Week website, the Chop Shop’s website, and the Chop Shop’s Restaurant Week menu - nothing said it ended at 7:00. Not even the person I spoke to on the phone said anything about it. We participate in restaurant weeks a lot, it’s how we’ve found some of our favorite places. The whole point is to get new customers to become returning customers. We will not be back. We went to another place for restaurant week earlier in the week and yet another place the following day; both were fantastic, and their menus lasted all night. Will definitely be recommending those other places over this place. Added an extra star because the Bartenders and the hostess were all very nice.

Our waitress Danielle was fantastic! Artichokes were superb and our steak salad was amazing. Martinis were very disappointing. I’ve had them in the past and they were awesome. Not this time.

The food was very good and the staff was on top of everything with the exception of the hostess. She seem to be incompetent. After I made a Reservation over the phone I had to repeat myself multiple times just for her to get my first name correct and I don't have a difficult name and they just opened and it was quiet.Then when we arrived the same hostess couldn't find us in the system good thing I had the Email confirmation. Perhaps she needs more training or a different position.

Went for restaurant week and got the French onion soup. Amazing!! Also had the Gorgonzola steak. Steak had so much flavor and you can cut the steak with a fork. Very nice atmosphere and nice service. Will be coming back

Ok folks..no where else will you ever find a short rib grilled cheese sandwich to compare. Simply perfect along with the house salad and fries. We were accommodated with splitting without any hassles. Thanks for the best food and bartender service around! Can't wait to return.

Our first time here and a new favorite for us! Food was delicious, steaks cooked perfect to order! All special requests honored and correct. Service was friendly, efficient and wonderful! We had rainbow cookie cake and Cinnabon dessert both were incredible! Already looking forward to our next visit!

It was a bit tight...as far as space to move. But, other than that it was really quite outstanding. Best filet and creamed spinach in Suffolk! And I really appreciated how our waiter let us take our time. I wish I could remember his name, but he did a fantastic job of reading our situation. Excellent overall experience!

Fantastic jumbo shrimp cocktail- the short ribs over spinach with mashed potatoes was the best. Can’t wait to return.

We had a delicious dinner and our waiter, Saji was amazing, so pleasant and on top of things! My husband had the surf n turf special and the lobster was incredible, filet mignon was cooked perfectly. I had the sesame encrusted tuna (my favorite) and it was delicious as always. We’ve been coming here for years and the food is always consistently delicious and service excellent.

My friend and I met for lunch at the Chop Shop. The service was outstanding! The menu offers "happy hour" choices for great deals! We had a very nice dining experience!

If I’m paying $50 for a filet I don’t expect to stick my finger in a hole to close the bathroom door.... also the “owners nephew should keep his “opinions” to himself Overall a decent experience. But not worst the price

This is a great place. We picked this spot for dinner while we were visiting the area. It has a wonderful atmosphere. Both the drinks and the food were delicious in the service was great. It is a bit on the pricey side but I felt like it was worth what we spent. I do however highly recommend making reservations as it seems to be quite a busy place.

First time customer. Stopped in last night for a quick dinner on the way from relative’s house. Caught off-guard upon entry because it’s not a “Bar and Grill” so much as a well appointed restaurant with a bar area. Now I don’t mind paying a premium for a great meal. I even accept over-paying for drinks because LI is expensive and these businesses gotta pay their bills. That being said, $12 draft and $16 cocktail... Not my first rodeo. Fine. $16 for Restaurant Depot perfectly consistent oversized “Fried Calamari” appetizer that we’ve all had a million times for like half that - I expected better. Next comes the $17 cheeseburger and the $19 Gorgonzola steak flatbread. Ordered medium well on both. What arrived: Blue-rare burger with the bottom of the bun soaked through. (wife ate it with a fork mostly) although the flavor was good. A shame and missed opportunity. And again... Restaurant depot spiced curly fries. I’d have preferred to see hand cut, or at least “5 Guys” quality. The steak? Again blue-rare. I can’t understand missing the temperature on a burger, because internal temp will tell you the story, even if knowledge won’t, but any “chef” worth his salt will see when he cuts into a 3/4” thick skirt steak that he missed the mark. Throw it back for a few minutes under the salamander and finish the damn thing. To make it almost inedible it was served cut with the grain as opposed to across. Again... Any chef worth his salt knows this. I literally spit out 4 mouthfuls because it wasn’t breaking down in my mouth In retrospect, it’s my fault for not stoping the meal after two bites and refusing the rest, and if it weren’t late and being under a time constraint I would have. $100 lesson learned...
