I really want to like A&S but the quality of their bagels have gone down hill. I got half a dozen bagels and they were under cooked or over cooked and there were barely any toppings on some. People behind the counter need to be better trained on the products they have. I ordered a crumb cake with the thicker crumb which I get all the time. Instead I got some specialty crumb cake that had icing and jelly which isn’t what I wanted. I shouldn’t have to specify three times only to get the wrong item.

It’s a shame the bagels are amazing here, but some of the workers are constantly getting my order wrong. It is very frustrating! They don’t know how to give you the right amount of change back. Today I got an egg sandwich and it tasted like bacon and I found a little piece in it. I don’t eat meat and that was disappointing. I must have asked at least three times for ketchup and a roll. I got a plain bagel instead with no ketchup. The place really went down hill. They have a great bakery.

So disappointing!!! I stopped buying ice coffee a long time ago because it just wasn't good. I continued to go here every weekend for egg sandwiches and bagels along with picking up bagels in the morning for my co-workers but today what I saw has started to really push me away completely. The image is a bacon and lettuce on a cinnamon raisin bagel with mayo. You can see the bread. Barely anything on it! I think it may be time to find a new place!!!

I went to this bagel shop with my family for the first time. We'd moved out of town some years back and wanted to bring back some bagels with us on the way home. We ordered our bagels at the counter and I pulled out my card to pay when the cashier promptly said "Cash only." I was not aware of this due to there being no type of (visible) sign stating that they only accept cash. I had only brought cards with me. There is an atm inside, but I didnt want to pay the extra fees to use it, so we decided we should leave without purchasing anything. I also noticed that there was no food inspection classification sign for the shop, and it was pretty grimy inside and no effort had been made to make the place inviting for customers: there is no place to sit and eat, for example, and with the exception of a menu board, signage is minimal.

I worked as a supervisor for American Medical Response in the 90's. I worked EMS for years in Nassau County. I'd stop in every morning for an everything with vegetable cream cheese. You always made the start of my work days awesome! Thank you!!! Just placed an order for delivery. 😁

Do not get bagels from here. They have ANTS in them. I ordered 2 dozen and they had Ants in the bags. The owner refused to reimburse us.

This was our second time visiting A&S bagels. A popular neighborhood shop that makes all their bagels fresh everyday, you can taste the difference. They usually sell out by the end of the day so try to get there early. There's a small line but it moves fast. Staff are friendly and helpful. Bagels are obviously delicious!

Bagle tasted good but I asked the lady to toast it but she did not listen. She just started putting cream cheese on it and packed it. I reminded her of toasting she was like I already packed it now nothing can be done. Also, there is no where saying cash only but it is cash only place. Which was quiet disappointing.

Freshest Bagels and Cream Cheese on Long Island. They also have Muffins, pastry, Egg-sandwiches coffee. No onsight eating, all to go. Reasonably priced. Gets somewhat busy on weekends, so go early for the best selection. Cash only, but they have an ATM on premise. On street parking. Easy access from everywhere.

The bagels are constantly being replaced with fresh bagels (morning, afternoon, and night) to ensure freshness! The staff are always helping with a smile on their face and work quick to get through the typical busy line. The A&S family and in particular Anthony, are a great example of a well-run family owned business who supports their workers, customers, and local community!

Excellent and prompt services. I ordered 20 bagels pre-slice, pre-butter/cream cheese and must be individually wrapped for a class party. They prepared everything as requested and order was ready to be picked up at the time I wanted. Bagels were fresh and kids loved them. Definitely recommend this local bakery and will come back.

Chicken cutlet sandwich and chipotle chicken cold cut sandwich...$,9.50 each. Pricey but this place never disappoints. So many baked goods it's hard to choose. I'll try the mini donuts next time.

I've been going to A&S Bagels for over 20 years I even got upset once when they had a fire thank God they replayed the place and came back that was many years ago I like that bagel place so much cuz they don't just make them in the morning you got a fresh Bagel there 24 hours a day 7 days a week PS. Today is June 17th I bought four Bagels last night one was French toast to a mini and one was supposed to be cinnamon raisin but I got blueberry instead I went to eat the French toast this morning never happened to me in all years I've been eating bagels there but it was hard and dry and I was choking thank God my girlfriend got it out of my throat

There French toast bagels are to die for. My friends and I go here a lot after the bars around 2/3 AM because they are 24 hours. I would definitely rather an amazing bagel then any fast food place.

It’s a shame cause their food is always good but i always ask them not to put ketchup on my eggs and make it a habit to be very clear about it and i always end up with ketchup on my sandwiches???

Another great bagel shop. Most popular in this area of town. They use James Farm butt, which is fantastic.

Come get your fresh bagels or breakfast at the best prices in the market. Customer service is great and I really enjoyed my experience! I will be getting my bagels from here now! I highly recommend it

Do you want a bagel? Of course you do! Do you know where to get it? You sure do now! A&S is a long island staple and that is for a darn good reason. You want fresh bagels 24/7. This is the place for you. They supply many Long Island establishments with their perfect rounds of chewy delicious dough. You may as well get it from the source! Bring Cash! Receive Bagels! It's just that simple.

This is by far the best bagel place I have ever been. Living in Brooklyn I trek out to Long Island for these assorted light soft fresh bagels. I always get the onion bagel with cream cheese , smoked salmon onions and tomato tomato. I also get an everything bagel the same way. The regular bacon egg and cheese on a toasted bagel is heaven.

They do have fresh bagels and their sandwiches are pretty good too. But for some reasons they don't accept any type of card payments. It's very weird that they don't even put a sign says cash only. I think they just want us to use the ATM inside the store.🤷

It is really disappointing to see this place go down hill. We have been customers for years but recently the quality has gone down significantly. Not only the size of the bagels is much smaller than it used to be - some of the smallest in the area - but they are skimping on the ingredients as well. A recent egg and bacon sandwich is. Perfect example. It really is a shame because their bagels were among the best on LI.
