Great service, amazing food and fresh salsa/toppings bar. Perfect price points. Did NOT disappoint

This place wish we knew of it long ago so good! Love the tacos with the bar. So good! Love cucumber pineapple drink as well it is a new favorite restaurant of ours.

Best barbacoa tacos in H town. The menudo is also very good. Homemade corn tortillas. You put your own toppings on the tacos. Service is very fast. Servers are friendly and attentive. I would recommend this place for authentic mexican food!

I was new in the area looking for something traditional, food was good (not original), but, I will definitely not recommend or come back to this place for the simple reason that wherever you go and spend your own money on any establishment you deserve to be treated with respect, especially if you're not that type of picky customers. One of the girls have a really bad attitude that make you feel totally uncomfortable. First and last time in Don Gonzalos.

Came here and I really enjoyed the food, I also have my go to places and this place will now be one of them. Service was great, Derek and the others all cared for your service. They came many times to see if we needed anything.

Good authentic Mexican Flavor.

Not sure what happened, whether the waitress was new or she didn't like us for some reason ( my wife and I are former waiters so we know how to treat them) but our food took 1hr to come out, 4 tables came well after us and they were served first. Not sure if this is a locals only and if you're not from gtfu kind of thing but note taken we're not coming back. Food was average anyways, liked the vegetables and sauce bar though.

Love this place. The servers are always so pleasant, and food comes out super fast. Delicious authentic Mexican food.

This place was great. The service was excellent. The food was delicious. The carved seating was actually comfortable. Their homemade juices are tasty. They are limited in Mexican snacks but that's ok. The prices were reasonable. Would I go back? If I'm nearby, yes, but it isn't in my top five Mexican places to go to.

Food was amazing! Very tasty! Staff friendly and attentive! Had tacos Al pastor, pollo con piña and quesabirria ! Agua de tamarindo ! Everything was delicious

Authentic Mexican Food you have to try!!! This is my favorite place when in the area. Their tortas are amazing. Hubby loves their taquitos. They just never disappoint. Their service is exceptional as always. And you have to try their horchata. It’s such a sweet delight.

Literally looks like they gave me a used green sauce with my order. They only gave one and the one that was given looks like it should've been trashed disgusting. 🤮 The food honestly is bland and my chicken tacos tasted reheated. These current reviews are not from locals but tourists looking for the closest Mexican food. They take no pride in their food sadly. Literalmente parece que me dieron una salsa verde usada con mi pedido. Solo dieron uno y el que se dio parece que debería haber sido destrozado repugnante. 🤮 Sinceramente, la comida es sosa y mis tacos de pollo sabían recalentados.

The food was amazing, the staff was so friendly, it looked like they really enjoyed their jobs, that also says a lot about the place for me.

Not worth the trip to this place so called “authentic”. Food was cold, bland, overpriced for what they serve you! Horchata tasted like water with sugar. I had Mexican food soooo many times and I can honestly say this has been the worst so far. Prices on the menus are displayed with tapes. Some items are priced incorrectly as well so very sketchy overall. Nobody asked me why we left the food intact. We just paid and left. Wouldn’t recommend anybody to eat here.

I loved the authentic feel and taste of Mexican food at this restaurant. Loved their taco, but their naco wasn't too authentic, but it was so yummy. It was drenched with American style nacho cheese which I preferred. Their choices of toppings were amazing. Grilled onions melts in your mouth and the pickled onions went so well with the hearty meat in the taco. Best of all, their prices can't be beat. $2-$3 a taco with unlimited toppings? Don't waste your money at taco bell and try this place.

This place was awesome The quesabirrias are exactly what you need to get if you go there. The tacos were delicious and these guys really make you feel welcome. I loved the fact they have a small toppings bar that let's you set up your tacos just how u want it. Plenty of sauce. The bathrooms were clean. And the custom tables and chairs made me order one online. This is by far the best taco place I've been. Amazing customer service they are really attentive and make u feel at home.

I have never seen this much fat and rice in a burrito de barbacoa in my life. Friendly service, but I will never come here again.

I visited this establishment three times from Miami. When I go to Orlando I make an effort to come here. The food is excellent and the service is good. If you wish to eat real Mexican food, this is the place. Their burrito is excellent. It deserves an A+++ Also, their "Agua Fresca" drink is amazing. It's pineapple and cucumber juice. I was apprehensive at first, but when I tried it, I was hooked like a fish on a hook. If you like pineapple, you will enjoy this drink.
