Hidden gem that's not so hidden. Right around the corner from Union Station. If you are a foodie this place is for you. This is agree upon with the signed photoof Guy Fieri on the wall. Fusion flavor at a low price. My favorite was the choriso egg banh mi on baked bread! Chorizo egg rolls are killer dipped in their amazing aoli. Topped of with a curry chicken baco, so good!

Really enjoy their egg rolls! The Mexican pho was good but could be more flavorful and have more pork pieces. The breakfast banh mi was also good. Can get quite busy during lunch time.

Saucy Porka is a solid lunch / takeout spot in the Loop for creative Vietnamese & Latin American fusion. Though overall, it’s a bit pricey for the portions (which aren’t that large), it offers pretty fair and standard prices for the Loop area. As for Banh mis, so far I’ve tried the Ropa Vieja Beef Banh Mi, Cheesy Buddha Banh Mi, Soy Ginger Tofu Banh Mi. The banh mis are creative and unique, but tasted pretty average overall. The Ropa Vieja Beef was very flavorful with the meat seasoning and kimchi flavor combo, but the beef was a little dry and the sandwich itself was really soggy. The Cheesy Buddha and Soy Ginger Tofu banh mis were both pretty solid, but neither really stood out for me. I also tried the Tofu, Duck, and Grilled Shrimp Bacos. The tofu baco tasted pretty standard. The duck baco was good, but a bit lacking in flavor, unfortunately. The grilled shrimp taco was my favorite, pairing very well with the sauce and corn toppings for a nice tangy flavor. I’ve both gotten takeout and dined in here. It’s very casual and you sit wherever there’s space. The takeout orders are usually filled pretty fast and wrapped nicely. — Price (relative to peers): 4.1/5 Food: 4.1/5 Ambience: N/A Service: N/A Overall Value: 4.1/5

They are the only Filipino fusion cuisine in the loop (that I know of). Everything is delicious, including their awesome pork ramen. They also are known for their delectable Baco’s (think tacos meets wow bao). This place feels familial and if you want to try something new that’s not ordinary, I would highly recommend this saucy fast casual! Yum.

I went here for lunch and loved it. The staff is very friendly, and the service is decently fast. They have several vegetarian items, some of which are also vegan. I tried their Panang Tofu Salad, which was delicious, had a nice mix of greens and fried tofu, and was quite filling.

Hole in the wall with great, unique food. We had the shrimp bahn mi and chorizo egg rolls which were both fantastic. I LOVED the green dipping sauce and would pour it on all my food next visit 🤣 I want to go back and try more menu items. Fast, friendly service.

Four of us headed out here to lunch on a Tuesday afternoon with around 11:15 and it seemed to be getting busy, but service was pretty fast. Walking in you can smell how amazing you food is about to be. Being my first time, I wanted to try a Chorizo Eggroll, Al Pastor Bacos, and The Cheesy Buddha sandwhich. Total was under $20 and nothing disappointed! This is definitely more food than anyone needs but it's worth trying a little bit of everything. The vegetarian sandwhich absolutely hit the spot with all the amazing flavors that was also filling. And the Al Pastor with the small pieces of pineapple were fantastically seasoned. Everyone in the group agreed this is a great loop lunch spot. Can't wait to head out here again.

I went for a quick pick up. I took the cuban banmi. It was great, I'll take the tacos the next time. I liked the fusion options that they offer. Services was quick, good and simple.. all good for lunch! Will try again for dinner.

I love everything about this Saucy Porka Location, from the food to the service everything is wonderful. I work downtown so I called my order ahead, Nestor answered my phone call. He is super friendly and welcoming the second he answered the phone. Upon arriving I told the friendly young lady at the counter Marisol, I am here to pick up an order. My order was ready and still hot. I usually get the Mexipho, I totally recommend it. The taste is consistent, I know any time I have a craving for it, it will not disappoint. Shout out to the staff for being friendly and professional.

stopped in here for a team lunch at noon and was super impressed with the food and service! they were very busy but somehow food came out very quickly and was DELICIOUS (waited < 10 mins for 7 distinct orders). i had the puerto rican rice with beef + egg and highly recommend the combo! i devoured the entire bowl in one sitting. my colleagues did the same with their respective orders, and we all ordered different items so it seems you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. will definitely be coming back here again for lunch!

Came in after visiting the Skydeck Chicago. Best food we’ve had in a looooong time. You have to get the curry sweet potato fries (pictured) amazing.

Small place with tasty creative food. The Asian style paella was tasty but not very paella like, the bun was very good, the bahn mi was good but needed some peppers to be complete.

The food was absolutely delicious and this restaurant certainly lives up to the hype. We got the egg rolls, funky monkey fries, beef rice bowl and bacos. We were well taken care of by the lovely staff who provided some recommendations and continued to check in to ensure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for good food and a lovely wholesome atmosphere. The food was delicious and the service was top notch. Cannot wait to return!

This is one of my favorite lunch places in the loop. Be sure to catch them when they're open, years later it has yet to disappoint. Order the pork bahn mi with loaded fries

Can’t decide between a banh mi or a jibarito? Pho or sancocho? You’ve come to the right place

The food here is AMAZING! We have been in Chicago just over 24 hours and had two fantastic meals here - everything was excellent and Nestor was great help in choosing and getting us exactly what we had in mind. The Funky Monkey Fries were absolutely the tastiest thing I’ve eaten in months - and so fresh with interesting flavor combinations. Highly recommend! The Mexican Pho is addicting - we had it with chicken - get the large bowl, your going to LOVE it! The Curry Sweet Potato Fries were the best sweet potato fries ever - delicious! Also very much enjoyed a Chorizo, Egg & Cheese Banh Mi breakfast sandwich! Two carnivores and one vegetarian all agreed this is some of the best flavor profiles in our experience - we’d come back to Chicago just to eat this fabulous food again!

Big things come in smaller packages.Don’t be fooled by the size of the tacos because they are jammed pack with flavor! The Piccadillo egg rolls were even better. Not sure what the name of the orange dipping sauce is but its sweet and tango and I poured it everything. Perfect lunch spot!

The picadillo and the chorizo egg rolls are delicious!! We had to order extras because we wanted more. The paella is also really good, but wouldn’t order it again. Portions are generous. Friendly staff!

I didn't except this place to be so delish! Such simple food but oh so flavorful! The rice reminds of of this Mexican grill place in Tacoma that I love. So it was great trying out something that reminds me of home. I loved their shrimp rice, absolutely loved it and the sauces are fabulous too. The black bean tofu is good too but it dries up quickly, so have it as soon as it arrives. The food reheats well and is flavorful still. I have only ordered in so based on that, my interaction has been wonderful and timely. This place serves delish meals which are easy on the pocket and you can easily have leftovers. Waiting to order again from here!

Great little fusion stop. Friendly staff. They helped me through the menu. Had the Duck Gumbo which was delicious. Seems that Guy Fieri dropped by too and liked the food.
