I went to this bar for a friend's birthday this past weekend, and had an unprofessional experience with one of the employees. I had shared a drink with one of my friends, but I didn't feel great due to the taste and alcohol content, so I went to the bathroom to throw up in the toilet and freshen up. When I exited the stall, a Caucasian employee with brown hair tells me: "You need to leave, right now." I was confused at first, because I hadn't left a mess in the stall, I was far from drunk, and I hadn't done anything else that would warrant getting kicked out. However, I hadn't been here before and didn't want to assume anything, so I agreed to leave after washing my hands and chewing some gum to fix my breath. I walked to the nearest convenience store and got some water before meeting up with my friends, getting my car an hour or so later, and driving home. Then, I found out that one of our other friends on the VERY SAME NIGHT was more drunk than me, threw up in the bathroom, stumbled out, and did NOT get thrown out of the bar. He was white as well. I am very disappointed that this would happen in this day and age, and in such an establishment. I would not recommend this bar if you are a person of color, because you will probably get racially profiled for doing anything out of the ordinary if they don't want you there.

I found this bar via Instagram and submitted a form online. My friends and I enjoyed the evening. The bucket cocktails were great. $30 regularly for the 86oz and they had 1 flavor on special for $20. One 86oz was enough for 3 people to share. We were there on 90s Night which was great. The live band played a variety of covers and interacted with the crowd. The Happy Hour appetizers are cleared away at 8 PM on the dot, so if that's your twist, get there early. The selection included mac and cheese, beef meatballs and little buffalo chicken cheese steak sandwiches. I was surprised to see such hearty food at the free appetizer buffet. The ladies bathroom was clean and there is even an attendant to help keep traffic moving. Overall, we had a good time, drank 3 buckets, sang to our hearts' content, and would return with more friends another time.

ALWAYS a great time! Whole vibe… Just not a fan of letting the drunk kids on the stage blocking the performers. I didn’t reserve a table/pay a cover charge to watch drunk kids dance. Would prefer people not allowed up there unless brought up by a performer.

Fun! It's like a dueling piano bar. Stage is well lit with fun lights and great energy. The band sings songs requested by patrons. It may not be corrupt accurate to the original song, but they they a great job at performing!! I visited for happy hour, it was inexpensive, it wasn't overcrowded, and the staff was attentive. Drinks were ok.

The kitchen was broken, so n food. The drinks are overpriced and mostly juice. We got like 5 of the $38 buckets (pictured) and barely got a buzz. But the music and entertainment were good. All the band members are super talented and can play like 4 different instruments and sing.

Top 5 bars I’ve been to since I’ve been drinking. Didn’t try the food but the drinks and atmosphere is perfect for yours 20s. All they could use is a pool table, otherwise perfect

Great place to party at in philly. They will play any song you give them and they perform very well. Drinks are good and bartenders were very nice and helpful. They do let you bring in food from other restaurants to eat there, which is nice. I had a good time and will be going back.

My bestie and I celebrated our Birthdays here last night! We did the jump the line package and that was a super special perk, highly recommend. The atmosphere was clean, fun, vibrant and the ambiance was just right. This was our second time visiting, and we enjoyed our visit even more than the time before! All the staff were very customer service oriented and kind. We would not hesitate to return again! Thanks for a great night!!

Costs $100 to sing a song… very much overpriced. Came for a Happy Hour my friend won ( it’s the EASIEST thing to win a happy hour here, so it was nothing special, just something to get people in the door) and they had $2-5 drink specials. I wanted something with rum and the bartender made me what she called a “ Malibu bay breeze”, which I assumed was made with Malibu as well as something I could order within the limits of their $2-5 drink specials( she told me it was within the drink specials) . I ordered the same drink with another bartender and continued with my night. When I got my bill, they had charged me $12 for the drink, and then proceeded to tell me I was wrong when I explained the situation. The original bartender didn’t even have the balls to come apologize for misleading me.

Wow, where do I start: okay this location of Howl On The Moon is truly unique and special. There is a great sense of security and safety when entering as the thorough pre entry screening is conducted. The security team Is always respectful and professional until Someone acts a fool to them, highly professional. Upon entry you’re greeted by a beautiful young lady who stamps your wrist and takes payment, she is always positive and welcomes you with a warm smile. The bartenders work as a team to handle the highest volume of customers during Fridays and Saturdays and it’s truly a masterpiece to see. Their determination is what keeps this cohesive team from every falling apart and becoming flustered. Lastly, the live music. The live music is truly what lots of people come here for, we appreciate everyone on that stage each weekend as they bless us with their talents. A truly light, fun, and SAFE experience when you’re looking for a new experience or a regular one. I definitely recommend checking this establishment out as you will create memories to last a lifetime.

So bathroom attendants and dishwasher temperature glasses of water should be outlawed in this country. The atmosphere, music, and dancing is very fun, but the drinks are not reasonably priced and the service isn’t very respectable. If you ask for water like a healthy adult they’ll serve you a cup of dishwasher warm water, and if you want to use the bathroom you’ll be bothered by a bathroom attendant coupled with minimal water pressure to actually clean your hands. Good luck cleaning your hands and not blacking out. This place is okay at best. There are better options, fight for your cold water and ignore the bathroom attendants if you can. Good luck.

I think that this place was really fun people was dancing getting along like everyone was having fun in it but the only thing that I say that should happen is when more people start coming that y'all can turn the ear up the little smoke that you was blowing in the air so so good like if I like can air . The food was somewhat okay I say for $8 you should give us four chicken strips and don't go so much on your season fries you're mozzarella sticks was breaded too much but for people who's drunk that's a good meal .

First time here. Got here right when they opened. We came for the happy hour specials . Got a table for our crowd. Floor filled up very quickly . Piano playing was great. Singing was hit or miss .But overall good. Had the free apps. Parking lot is right next door very convenient.

Drinks were good but a little pricey, dance floor was extremely sticky and was used as a shortcut to get to the exit so there was always random foot traffic. Music was okay, but a lot of it was stuff you couldn't really dance to. Still an overall fun experience.

Great times, great vibes! The band is awesome! You can request songs from a-z any genre and they kill it each and every time! Drinks were delicious food was meh but seved its purpose! My friends and I attended for a bachelorette party they went all out to make the bride feel like it was her own personal party! Parking is literally next door. Always a good time. Can't wait til the next adventure!

Live band was great! Loved that they had a dj in the back too! Felt like two different bars. Bathrooms were clean and not gross like other bars. Only thing I didn't like was that they didn't have corona premier but maybe most ppl that go there don't drink it. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Fantastic live music. The space very welcoming and staff was very attentive at keeping the space clean and fun! I would come back but avoid getting the buckets. The next day was rough.

Drink service was great and appreciated the custodian's quick spill clean ups on the floor. Was especially impressed with the band! They all switched instruments and vocals in different songs. I had a blast. Great place to celebrate anything!

The live performance on 2 pianos were very interesting. The alcohol drinks were not good at all. I had loaded beef tacos 🌮 which were extremely cold. I wouldn't recommend this place to others.

I love the vibe of howl I’ve been many times but my one thing is they either need new singers or just a dj because the singers/ music is the reason we end up leaving and going to another place. (People playing instruments are amazing tho) The singers always have crazy attitude when you request anything. Like love this place but we’re in the heart of Philadelphia listening to a horribly covered Taylor swift song for the 5th time in an hour. I understand there is a club side with a dj but it’s always dead in there. Anyways howl owners if you see this please fire those singers and also maybe stop with the covers, it’s fun here but not cover fun.

Our waitress was extremely kind, helpful and personable. However when I called to book my reservation they failed to mentioned that they don't serve food since their chief left. While they let me bring in outside food, I was disappointed they didn't let me know this when I booked it as I would've made arrangement for food prior to coming in. The music was fantastic and the artists were super friendly and fun.

I ended up spending several minutes mopping the men's room floor because something was wrong with the toilet. All I did was #1. But the toilet wouldn't flush right and I kept flushing and it got worse. But in the end I prevailed and left the stall better than I found it.

I enjoyed myself at Howl at the moon. The drinks were great, pleasant atmosphere, and friendly staff. Visited with friends for my birthday, and I truly had a great time. Will definitely visit again.

First time going there getting invited to the happy hour, they got live music and there were actually a few bachelorette parties going on! You can request songs for them to play for a price which is a lot of fun, and they were really good at it! Nice space over all, would definitely consider this place again!

The live music is just ok but the songs that they sing are terrible. The band played on back-to-back nights and they are mid, there are some good and bad members. I think people can request songs but have to pay $10 to do so which is an absolute joke. You could not dance to any of the songs that they played and the band did a poor job of reading the room. Do not go there to watch a sports game because there won’t be any fans and the TVs are too small and in a tight area. There is barely any standing room and the workers can be rude at times. The prices for drinks are horrendous and you will not have a fun time at this bar which has a terrible club atmosphere. Howl at the Moon, figure it out.

Dueling pianos were cool, that’s about it. Younger college crowd, like a college Chuck E. Cheese to be honest. They “had food” but no menus other than online. Drinks are overpriced and watered down. Bartenders don’t know how to make most of the cocktails I had. Dissatisfied at the prices for quality of ambiance and drinks. The waitress we had was very attentive I’ll give you that.

This place was absolutely awesome! Went with my friends from over forty years to celebrate our 60th birthday. The way each entertainer played every instrument and sang, it was phenomenal. They were all so talented, we had the best time!!

Music was good…BUT this isn’t the piano bar you may be expecting. No audience interaction or real duelling…more like watching a request band. A shame as it could have been an amazing night. The bar emptied out quite quick as the band played more of there stuff, didn’t acknowledge or interact with the crowd, or encourage requests. Pretty disappointed.

Such a fun place to go in Philly! Besides fun drinks, what really makes them stand out is their in-house band. They are so talented, play great music, and get the crowd involved too! Always have such a fun time!

We had a great time and the band played so many great songs from Billy Joel to Sia, Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, etc. Wonderful atmosphere and lively!! We named an old love song called I do Cherish You and one of the singer even learned how to sing the song and he played it for us. So touching- thank you! Hands down on how fantastic their songs and services! Come on out and have a good time and support the band!

I booked a party here and it was fun the down club. The drinks were good. Only thing is we were supposed to have a server she disappeared so we got our drinks at the bar and she came around like “sorry I disappeared but I’m here now” and then I never seen her again. I needed to ask about a gift bag I had purchased along with my 5th chair that I purchase but the table had 4 chairs luckily the table next to us was vacant and I took One there. Honestly I booked my party on a Saturday paid a bunch of money and they didn’t verify anything easily could’ve just gotten in for free especially since the extra stuff I paid for I didn’t even get. But the party was fun everyone had fun just would recommend it as a night out and not a birthday party venue tbh

Great crowd, great music and a great time! The piano duo is out of the world! They ask for request and can play any song! The singers and band get the crowd on their feet!

I had a great time here the first time I went, but the second time a couple of my friends were drugged by a fellow patron at the bar. Luckily we were in a big group, and I realized what was going on and left as soon as they started loosing their balance after one glass of alcohol. When we called the bar the next morning, they did not believe us and were not willing to look at the security system to identify who did this. It’s a fun place, but be careful of the philly locals who go here, and make sure you are in a group at all times.

Bar tenders and staff are super nice! Wide age randge but mostly older 20-somethings and 30s. Surprisingly clean. And a fun band played. Wide randge of music too not just a great twist on recent songs but classics as well. Great atmosphere overall!

My wife and I came around 8p, so they weren't terribly crowded or busy (but it does ramp up as the night goes on). The bartenders' service was exceptional and timely. We tried the 86 oz Hurricane bucket, and for around $30 that's enough to get anyone tipsy, or even drunk. The bathrooms were clean and the attendant inside was quite polite. It had lotion, mints, candy, and even cologne to freshen up for your sloppy hook-up. All jokes aside, this is a great place to go.

I love this place! The band always plays good music. The drinks and cover are affordable. The Jump the Line option makes everything so much easier though. The customers always seem happy and dance like no one is looking. Well worth a visit.

I've heard great things about "Howl at the Moon" and was really looking forward to checking it out but the less than stellar band dwindled the excitement. The one male singer was off pitch most songs and when the female singer came on her mic was turned down too low we couldn't hear her at all. However, customer service was excellent! I brought a friend and the two of us not only were kindly greeted at the front door, but were told by a cleaning host that he, "Saw us coming in and quickly wiped down the table and prepared it just for us." Drinks were good; Clean and fun atmosphere!

It's a great place to have a conversation before 9-10 with live music and a great place to party after that time with dance floors and sing alongs. Bartender co.pensated me and my date when certain issues arised when ordering meals. Will definitely recommend to friends!

Our company Christmas party was held there, the food was excellent, the drinks where wonderful & the band was the best band I have ever heard, it was a real dope experience, I'm definitely going back during regular business time.

I went to Howl at the Moon for the first time last night for a friend's birthday. The bartenders were amazing, the drinks were great(but super expensive) , the bar itself was an okay time. The band however was absolutely horrible! We had to pay a $10 cover per person to listen to what sounded like toddlers playing music. They ruined every single song they played and you couldn't even dance. Definitely not going back for the price you have to pay for horrible entertainment.

My daughter, her friends and the parents! had an epic night on Friday Night. The memories of that night will last a lifetime! I really can't say enough about the service, staff and the entertainment. We had a 21st here 3 years ago for our first daughter and it is always a blast! I always recommend to others. Go / Enjoy / Dance on stage / Have fun, you wont be disappointed. If you don't have a good time - It's probably you :) Look the band was awesome! I would only tell them to continue to work on a variety of dance music that gets people dancing.
