What a fun tour. The tour guide is funny and friendly playing some country favorites and 80's metal. The tour covers a lot of fun areas in and around town and is very relaxing. You get out at the Mauch Chunk Lake for about 10 minutes to take pictures. I would highly recommend this activity. Order your tickets in advance of your visit, they sell out fast.

We went as a family and with my mother, who is 83 years old and hardly walks. When it was our turn, they kept our wheelchair until we returned. The entire tour was beautiful and the director made it a wonderful experience with his humorous notes, his jocularity and his music. We rate it 5 stars and highly recommended.

What a wonderful tour this is! We highly recommend it. Ed is a gifted guide. He is professional and super knowledgeable, and even having visited Jim Thorpe several times and thinking we knew it all, we learned more from Ed. It is clear he must have worked hard to find all these interesting facts. In addition, he shares the information in fun and creative ways, integrating appropriate songs, jokes, and stories at just the right time. It was never boring. You will be missing something fantastic if you do not ride the Jim Thorpe Trolley!
