I've had the privilege of calling this place home for some time now, and I couldn't be more pleased with my time here. This building offers an outstanding living experience in every possible way. If I wasn't moving out of the country, I wouldn't be leaving Urby. I never leave reviews but I had to highlight something here. The location and amenities are great but what truly sets the place apart is the exceptional team that runs it. The staff, from the friendly faces at the reception to the dedicated leasing office team, goes above and beyond to ensure that you feel at home. Their level of effectiveness, understanding and kindness is unmatched. I asked for a few big favors during my time here, and the leasing office and rest of the team have always been flexible and helpful, even when they really didn't have to. If you're looking for a managed building that actually feels like a community, this is it.

After 14 months and super excited about moving here from NYC it's a major disappointment don't make a mistake! On the surface it looks like a progressive building but real world it reads...alarms being pulled every other month without purpose, overcrowded pool and no one monitoring pool guest or noise, horrible construction with noise from above and below, apartment on ground floor summer or winter it's not energy efficient the monthly bill was always $200, packages not being logged, Amazon lockers delayed for no reason, dogs peeing and popping in main entrances and watch your car in the garage filled with screws and construction debris. Than on the way out after being on time paying and diligent tenants it gets worse...the management team and accounting makes a money grab without explanation, miscalculation on final rent month after you move out, erroneous charges not disclosed on move out walkthrough for paint and normal wear and tear, holding your deposit past the 30 days by law. The personnel in the front office don't know how to run a business balanced with empathy and purpose and no flexibility to work with you in the end or communicate effectively. There are a few good people working the front desk and the maintenance team but they are limited by management. Lesson learned, we moved out and living in nearby true luxury building with full amenities, much happier. You have a choice make an informed one. They have tons of open units because they overbuilt the complex and it shows in the bad decisions made every day. If you have high standards and expect customer driven culture it's not here. As of this post, still waiting for Rosa assistant property manager to address move out concerns. Hope this is read by senior management at The Urby! Update 9/6: Unfortunately the Urby doesn't honor CT requirements to return security deposit within 30 days and now we are filing a formal complaint with CT Department of Banking to address the penalty up 2x our security deposit. Casey the GM, was unwilling to address this without going to the next level of complaint hearing. Don't rent here it's an example of how management isn't customer driven and not taking accountability for her teams mistake.

Have been living here for year and a half and recently renewed my lease. All the buildings around are brand new but none of them offer what this places does, this place offers community, convenience and almost like a scape from the crazy growing city of Stamford. The cafe is so cute and the gym is spacious, the events are very consistent and they are good for all ages and groups of people. The staff is amazing and the maintenance techs are so professional (love all if them that have come to my unit to fix anything that needed fixing) There will always be new buildings but NEVER an Urby. My husband an I have made The Urby our home for the last two years and we loved it. Staff is always friendly & helpful! Anytime we had a maintenance issue, which was just two times in our two years , the team was up to fix issues within hours of us reaching out. Gym & classes they offer are top notch and the pool is spectacular, we are going to miss it!

As someone who moved from out of state, I didn’t know what to expect. This building and management have surpassed any expectations I had coming in. Dylan- Assistant property manager, and all of the welcome desk staff especially have been attentive, kind, and all around a joy to communicate with. You can tell they genuinely enjoy helping people. Dylan was super quick with the leasing process and responded to any questions I had, which was nice, as my last building’s property manager purposely ignored resident’s emails. He did everything to accommodate my situation and I couldn’t be more grateful. Even when he’s not in the office, the additional management staff are wonderful. At my previous building, I had to wait if the manager I wanted to speak with was out, as not all of the staff knew proper protocol and how to assist. Everyone knows what they’re doing at Urby, and they do so very very well. Now, living here for a few months already this feels like a home, and I’ve never felt like an apartment was my home before. It’s a peaceful retreat, and it feels like a vacation every day living here. Just 5 minutes outside in the beautiful lush courtyard is revitalizing. It’s the perfect break from the outside world as if we’re in our own little bubble of paradise. I recently have been diagnosed with cancer, and all of management have gone above and beyond to support me.. whether it’s just being a good listening ear, spreading wisdom and positivity, or even having the maintenance super attend to my unit immediately because our fire alarm wouldn’t stop beeping one night. Big shoutout to everyone who wrote me a get well card, that was the sweetest thing. I’m also amazed by how friendly and welcoming neighbors are, it’s nothing I’ve ever experienced before. It really does feel like a community, despite it being a very large complex. When you move from NY, where people are hostile and unfriendly, it is a total refreshing game changer. I have nothing but great things to say about Urby and do encourage anyone to move here!

Urby is an amazing place to live. I love it so much that I moved back after living at another luxury building nearby. The team at Urby is so kind & helpful in addition to the community of residents, who are all super friendly! The vibe is very young and fun. There are tons of events to meet new people. It is like nowhere else I have lived before. Additionally, the amenities, especially the gym and courtyard are so nice. It feels great to have a large locked courtyard and be able to walk around at night. I feel really safe here. I don’t have a dog, but the on site dog park seems super nice for those that do.

I loved my time at the Urby (renewed our lease quite a few times!). The Urby was my first home in CT. Moved here from DC and didn’t know anyone. The urby offers community which was really nice in helping me and my boyfriend transition to a new state and meet people. Everyone that works there is so nice, warm, and welcoming. Always. The events are fun and they do quite a few a month. The urby is a fun place to live! Oh, and, very dog friendly - the dog run is huge!!

😠 If I could give this place a 0 rating I would. I lived there for Al more 3 years. The pictures are falsified that are presented online. Since I moved in I’ve had painting and other work orders that was never completed. I was due for a renewal of lease and they were going to raise my rent to 3200$. I...

😐 A really average apartment complex with a great location. The building and appliances are not the newest, and there’s carpet throughout the complex that doesn’t get cleaned well enough with all the dogs around so it smells. 😠 Renters Beware! I have lived in this community for almost 3 years, the first 2 years were great! So much so I left a review stating how much I enjoyed living in this community. However, in 2021 Avalon sold this community and a new buyer purchased it. Ever since this has happened, the condition of t...
