This was a joke. I was so excited to find this museum & see the graffiti work, BUT THIS IS NOT A MUSEUM. It’s only a STAIRWELL in a new trendy hotel in New York City. The hotel design is spectacular BUT THIS IS NOT A MUSEUM. I was so disappointed. I throughly browsed the website, made a reservation to come...no one even cared about me having a “reservation” (it’s not needed btw). One of the hotel employees took me to the rooftop floor - there are no signs on the rooftop that instruct you to the “museum” - you go out the EXIT door and the “graffiti” starts...every artist had 1 floor designated for their work; I only noticed a handful of graffiti artists and the remainder was portrait artists. You get to the bottom floor and THAT’S IT! No conclusion, no “museum staff or support” - I thought the stairwell was only the beginning of the experience. This experience left me with “less to be desired work” - hyped up for no reason and on top of it, the curator wasn’t even born in NY, not the United States...she moved here when she was a teenager. How do you curate culture that you never grew up with? THIS IS NOT A MUSEUM - do not waste your time. You can see amazing graffiti artists all over NYC, without going here. Go to the TRANSIT MUSEUM - this is where you will find amazing history and value the efforts of all those who made this MUSEUM possible + truly appreciate the workers who died to make the NY Transit System.

Fantastic idea and well executed in terms of the gallery itself. Probably needs more signage though. I only stumbled across it because I was starting a free floors down from the roof bar. Pretty cool idea to have a museum in a stairwell, can't say I've done that before 👍

Trying to figure out how to visit the museum of street art ahead of time was needlessly confusing. So here is how you do it: go on Resy and search for MoSa by 5pointz. You can make a free reservation between 9am-5pm. If you want to visit after 5pm, make a free reservation on Resy for the cloudM rooftop bar. Either way check in at the front desk when you walk in to the hotel and security will give you access to get to the 20th floor. The bar was elegant without being pretentious and has great views. Whether you have a bar reservation or a MoSa reservation you just go to the stairs to see the 20 floors of street art. It’s a good rainy day activity. At the bottom there are black chalkboard walls and chalk to make your own mark. I would say all 20 floors will take anywhere from 10 minutes to 30 minutes, depending on how much time you want to spend on each piece.

We checked it out on the way out of the CloudM Rooftop bar. No reservations. It's a very cool idea, utilizing a space that in most hotels are simply ignored. Each flight of stairs for the 16 floors has a different artist and theme. A lot of different and.wild stuff going on in there. Definitely worth checking out. Take your time, hold the handrail and you'll have fun.

The whole thing about this place is that it’s a vertical museum and it’s in a hotel (which is super cool and I would totally stay in). It’s totally free but you do have to be able to walk down several flights of stairs. Each floor is painted by a different artist and many of them were original five points artists. Definitely worth a stop!

While normally it's only available for hotel guests at all hours or when the rooftop bar is open to the public, I got lucky outside of those times and someone in the elevator let me up to the top floor where you take the exit stairwell going downstairs and get to experience a very cool exhibition of a collage of street art from many different artists.

An exhibit displaying a wealth of art by NYC-based street artists in the stairwell of the CitizenM hotel. It could use some more signage/information about the work/artists but it’s an enjoyable, quick visit.

A true New York experience! Located in the recently opened Citizen M Hotel, the Museum of Street Art features artists from 5 Pointz. It closes in the late afternoon so it is best to visit in the afternoon. After taking the elevator to the top floor, the exhibits are in the stairwell, each floor featuring a different artist. After walking down, take the elevator back up for a cocktail in the rooftop bar which has truly fantastic views of the City.

What a fun experience! Take the elevators to the CloudM rooftop bar, enjoy a drink and then make your way down the art installation in the stairwell. The art is amazing and each artist brings his/her own style to each mural. At the end, there is a black chalkboard wall for you to leave your own impressions.

For having known 5POINTZ, my friend who lives in New York had his building embedded in this place. Every time I went to visit him I took pictures of all the graffiti, there were sublime ones. Then the place was destroyed. In December 2018, I went to citizenM Bowery and visited the place. All along my descent I photographed the walls of the stairwell, and I was dazzled by the beauty of the works presented. So, do not miss this visit.

You need to book a tour on their website before entering citizenM then the guide will bring you to 21st floor. It's free. No bags allowed but they are safely stored for you.

Museum of Street Art (MoSA) preserved a artworks in a setting where any individual and pause to absorb its beauty, lessons and culture. It starts on the 20th floor and concludes at the lobby. Yes a trek but not one that is arduous.

It would be great if they made a note that this is only open to hotel guests….After I walked 40 minutes in the pouring rain to get here.

Hipster cute museum! I've been a couple times and they have over 200 pieces they change out every few months so you won't get complacent going more than once. They have two floors but some of their most populAr attractions are.

Highly recommended. The employee in the entrance area was extremely friendly and accommodating. Street art in the stairwell is definitely worth seeing. Rooftop bar looks very well maintained, but unfortunately we couldn't use it if we were accompanied by a minor. The café in the U.G. But it's also very beautiful. Everything very clean. If the hotel rooms are like that, this would certainly be a hotel on the short list the next time you stay in New York.

This place is busy for a reason, and that's because the collection of art and beautiful interior and exterior will wow anyone. The first time we came we made reservations which we recommend, otherwise you'll be standing outside "hoping" you'll get a chance to pop in. The museum isn't very big, but it's the perfect size. There was an excellent range of art works with different mediums. We were overwhelmed, but the amount of art work and spacing gave us time to really enjoy the art. We definitely recommend this place.

Really neat idea and loved the art. It was very interesting that it was in the stairwell. That rest of the hotel actually looked really cool too.
