Some
background
info:
Got
into
cycling
about
8
months
ago,
bought
a
6
year
old
Cannondale
CAAD12
(56cm,
105
groupset),
after
putting
in
some
serious
mileage
I
decided
to
get
a
proper
bike
fit
from
the
FitLab
team
(best
in
the
business
imo),
and
as
I
suspected
the
56cm
frame
wasn’t
a
good
fit
for
me.
Shopped
around
for
weeks,
researching
paints,
weights,
geometries,
best
value
brands,
what
is
an
actual
upgrade
vs
marginal
gain,
etc.
etc.
(you
can
relate
I’m
sure).
Finally
landed
on
the
model
I
wanted,
it
had
the
components
and
geometry
I
needed,
and
was
in
stock
at
Piermont.
From
the
very
first
call
with
Sunny,
to
see
if
they’d
be
able
to
accommodate
some
weird
parts
I’d
need
(165mm
cranks),
I
knew
I
was
in
good
hands.
Let’s
be
honest,
for
most
of
us,
New
Bike
Day
will
be
a
pretty
rare
occurrence,
and
as
such,
it’s
important
to
enjoy
!
Well
the
team
at
Piermont
just…”gets
it.”
Yeah
they
have
awesome
bikes,
a
smoothie
shop,
carbon
wheels,
and
anything
else
you
could
wish
to
drop
some
$$
on…but
the
most
impressive
part
of
the
store
is
how
they
treated
me
as
a
new
customer.
They
asked
if
I
wanted
a
coffee,
brought
me
back
to
see
the
bike
being
built
and
tuned,
I
was
able
to
chat
with
Jason
for
a
while
about
fitting,
the
value
of
functional
movement,
and
to
be
honest
the
guy’s
knowledge
and
experience
seemed
endless.
I
know
they
sell
bikes
far
more
expensive
than
what
I
purchased
and
it
didn’t
seem
to
matter
whatsoever.
Not
a
hint
of
trying
to
upsell
me
on
anything,
just
happy
to
get
me
a
bike
that
seemed
to
work
for
me
and
fit
my
budget.
(If
only
car
dealerships
were
similar)
Even
as
I
walked
outside
and
there
were
fellow
cyclists
congratulating
me
on
my
NBD.
I
woke
up
early
and
really
hoped
the
day
would
live
up
to
the
hype
and
honestly,
my
experience
with
Dennis,
Sunny,
Jason,
and
the
mechanics
(sorry
didn’t
catch
the
names)
-
exceeded
all
expectations.
I’m
one
of
those
people
that
rarely
go
out
of
their
way
to
leave
a
review
because
most
often
my
experience
as
a
customer
is
just
middle-of-the-road,
neither
horrible,
nor
fantastic.
However,
after
spending
time
at
Piermont,
I
felt
like
this
was
the
least
I
could
do.
This
is
a
place
that
understands
the
excitement
around
a
new
bike,
the
importance
of
treating
a
customer
with
honesty
and
attentiveness
(Sunny
was
constantly
updating
me
on
ETA’s,
apologizing
for
small
wait
times,
you
name
it),
and
their
passion
is
undeniable.
It
really
set
the
tone
as
I
left
with
a
new
bike
and
reminded
me
how
inclusive
and
incredible
this
hobby/sport
can
be.
Thanks
again
to
you
guys
and
I
have
no
doubt
I’ll
be
back
soon
for
some
more
stuff.
