First time ever going to an urgent care and my first experience was great. I spent the morning going to multiple urgent cares and they were all booked. This one however, put me on a waitlist and they called me to let me know they had an opening. I went, filled out some paperwork, and was in and out within an hour. Very friendly and helpful staff. After suffering with a severe sore throat for multiple days, they told me I had strep and now I can finally get some medicine and feel better. Be kind and give these healthcare workers a break, times are tough.

Despite a very busy schedule from the current Covid crisis, this Oakhurst Family First Urgent Care facility was able to schedule and accommodate my son for a required “Return to Sport” College Athletic Health check. We made the appointment on a Friday, the clinic called us and squeezed him in the next day (Saturday), he ultimately was cleared by the Doctor, then returned to his Athletic Program (with a letter and EKG printout) by the beginning of the following week. That is truly "Urgent Care" timing. My son mentioned and stressed that the clinic staff and Doctor that he interacted with were all very friendly and engaging. As the parent that initially called and made the appointment, I can say that they were very courteous and professional. TYVM to Ray, Selena, Allison and Dr. Mojares. 😊

Amazing 10/10 service. In the midst of COVID, this place provides timely results for both rapid and PCR tests. Very nice staff and efficient system for walk in appointments! I will definitely be coming back for all of my urgent medical needs!!!

Made the appointment (early Sunday) online from a few days before. Brought my husband along because he caught what I had (flu). Medical tech allowed us to be seen together, hardly had to wait. Nurse practitioner was amazing-very knowledgeable and kind. I loved her practical wisdom and detailed explanations about what to expect.

Came in because my 2 year old daughter wasn’t herself and was complaining of ear pain. Everyone was so friendly, kind, and patient. We were in and out quickly and were able to start her on antibiotics within the hour. I’d recommend them to anyone!

I had an excellent visit to Family First Urgent Care in Oakhurst. My waiting time was minimal and I was able to get much needed medication within 30 minutes. Thanks to everyone who keeps things going smoothly there!

I went into the urgent care today because I had been sick the last few days and was not getting better. I was able to walk in with no waiting time. I got checked out right away by Rose who was super nice and made me feel comfortable the entire time. They diagnosed me with strep throat and helped me get an antibiotic prescription right away and explained how to take them. Overall my experience was completely stress free, quick, and everyone was super nice!

Years ago I swore by this place. The doctor always spent time going over complaints, symptoms and test results. I believed my health was in excellent hands. However it’s very different now. My last few visits I was basically just a number and barely spent 10 minutes with the doctor. They spend much more time with their pharmaceutical reps while patients wait. The reason for my last appointment was a follow up because of abnormal bloodwork and I actually had to point out the abnormalities to the doctor. I leave frustrated and without any answers anymore. Update: After getting a call from the Office Manager to try to resolve my issue, I made the mistake of giving them a second chance and switching to the PA Megan. Megan was supposed to mail records to me but never did and dealing with Helen (or Helene) at the front desk was awful. Therefore I’m dropping my rating a star

I've been a patient of Family First Urgent Care for a number of years now visiting both the Oakhurst and Eatontown offices. I've had nothing but positive experiences with all of my visits. So much so that I also utilize their Family First Primary Physicians services as well. Everyone in their offices from the front desk receptionist to my primary doctor, and everyone in between, have been nothing but professional, friendly, and supportive during each visit. I highly recommend.

Very awful experience at this urgent care. Had to pay a huge fee just for them to tell me to go somewhere else. Not helpful at all. Doctors had no idea what they were doing. If you want actual medical help don’t come to this urgent care. The doctor saw me for less than a minute and still had to pay full cost for nothing. This place is a huge scam.

Made an appointment via their website and I don't think I waited even 5 minutes before I was called in and seen by the team. They were all friendly and kind and I felt heard by each person I dealt with. Happy to have them as an option in the area.

Very happy with my visit to Family First today. Went on my neighbor’s recommendation. First time going to an urgent care center. Made an appointment easily online and was seen on time and finished within an hour after being examined and having X-rays. The receptionist was very nice as were the medical assistant and the NP. So glad I went there. Felt much better afterwards. Would highly recommend.

I was able to easily schedule the whole family to be tested the next morning after learning of an exposure to one of my kids. The online scheduling was quick and they take insurance with just a photo. The nurse practitioner Cathy was very kind and has a great manner with small kids. Would definitely recommend this location for medical services.

Everyone was so kind. I was seen and treated quickly and efficiently. I would definitely recommend them highly!

If you are a workers comp case DO NOT GO here. They will see you but if you try to get medical reports or copies of an X-ray as in my case they will not provide them. FFUC referred me to an orthopedic surgeon who requested the X-rays but FFUC will not release the X-rays. Crazy but true. Secondly I got a response from Family as a reply to my review where they stated “Thank you for discussing your experience with us…..”. That discussion never happened so keep that in mind when reading there responses to reviews.

Piece of $h!+ place. They talk about customers and their conditions after they leave. They are extremely judgmental. Honesty they are quite lucky I didn’t beat the doc for talking about my fiancé. Don’t go here because they will treat you like your less than.

A++ to the staff at the brand new Family First in Eatontown! Yesterday, we had to bring our special needs son in to be seen. I called first and was put at ease immediately by the caring front desk employee. We were taken in to an exam room within 10 minutes and out the door in 30! My husband and I have been patients with all the Mojares Drs. Since approximately 1998 and for good reason. The physician asst. that treated our son was so understanding and patient. She was very thorough in her responses and ensured we had all of the paperwork we needed. Of course, we also can say the same about the Family First Primary facility and staff too! Thank you Dr. Rich and staff!

My experience at family first urgent care was weird. The office manager, i think that’s what she was, asked to see my ID to the receptionist after it was scanned in then approached me and asked what did I come in for. After several back in forth to the back to talk to the PA. She literally went to the back room 3 times after the third time I left. I was told the PA couldn’t see me even though all I needed was antibiotics. All my regular Drs offices were closed and couldn’t get it from them (it was 7:45pm). I had a cyst on the side of my leg but the lady “office manager” just kept coming back and saying no they can’t see you. It was weird that I couldn’t talk to the PA myself to explain the situation. I felt that I was being denied before I could talk to the PA myself. I’m going to another urgent care still in pain and in need of antibiotics. I was instructed if there is indeed an issue that I can file a lawsuit for refusing service. I also recorded the whole conversation of the lady telling me the PA won’t see me.

Family first is always so kind, caring and efficient. They do not overbook, therefore you are taken at or before your scheduled appt time. Everyone is attentive and helpful. Been coming here for years with the urgent care and also for my primary care. Highly recommend

They are just the best. Making an appointment is super easy. I was able to get a same day appointment and was seen right away. I had issues with my prescription and the MA was incredibly helpful and got it all situated immediately. I highly recommend.

The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and extremely helpful. Wonderful to have such great help open 7 days a week and close to home. They do get busy, so if it’s possible, I would book an appointment online even if it’s the same day. The process is easy and ensures you don’t have to wait. Highly recommend their services.

I've been here several times, and each time the care was EXCELLENT. One time involved a severe hand wound that wouldn't stop bleeding. Another time was cellulitis that didn't respond to another doctor's prescription - the prescription I got here worked great. Most recently was for a severe and annoying head cold. Each time, the care I got here was courteous, thorough, and effective. The nurse practitioners are super knowledgeable and, every time, they have taken care of my problem. They take the time to listen really know their field. Everyone here is very courteous and the office staff is very helpful. I'm glad they are in my area.
