It’s real utopia but it’s better than many places where lame parks exist. You might call it utopia or you might think of the series “the good place”. You have not died yet, you are still alive for now. The only drawback is the bad water weeds that pollute these 3 utopian lakes. The rest leave it up to your imagination.

My kids love it. The mini golf and paddle boating are a nice touch. The walk around the lake is calming. Plenty of areas to sit and relax with a number of benches and swings - some hidden, some good for people watching. Walk right to the strip mall on a couple of ends. Ladies will like access to West Elm on one end and clothing stores at other end with enough food options to spend an afternoon.

It was a very beautiful park. It was my first time there! I will come back in September as the paddle boats were in the sun 🌞 and way too hot 🔥 to use that day. I love ❤️ the beauty and the scenery. The swings were a nice touch. Mini golf, yes, please!!!

We love to come here! There are so many nice things to do in the park: go for a walk, play mini golf (a favorite), listen do different bands that occasionally play there, paddle boat…. It’s an easy to access Park and it’s very well kept. The surroundings are great. In September it’s entertaining to check out the art fair they offer.

What a great place for families or even a date. We went putting & did the paddle boats. It was a blast to enjoy a day together in this beautifully maintained setting. It’s well worth the $10 a person. The paddle boats are awesome to get out there and exercise more while hanging out together having a great time. The side with the Microsoft building is breathtaking. It was a great day and we enjoyed ourselves today. The college aged employees were friendly and helpful also. Definitely a must do!

Great place to go over skating! Was actually pretty shocked at the size of area you can skate. Bring your own or else they had decent rentals for $8. They had lockers to rent for your things or else most people just left their shoes out while they skated with no problems. Pro tip: if you're paying with cash you can rent your skates at the concessions stand and skip the long skate rental line!

Wanted to find an outdoor rink with some actual room to skate, this was the perfect location! Three rinks connected by small river way and all maintained extremely well. Probably the best outdoor ice I’ve skated on. Has plenty of places to put on skates and there seems to be no issues with anyone swiping boots or bags. They allow sticks and pucks on South rink. No issues with out of control kids, was great to be able to skate without constantly stopping for people. Huge parking structure right at rink with plenty of parking. Rinks are lit and you can skate until 9:30. Super fun and a great spot!

Despite being an artificial lake amongst the state of 10,000 natural lakes, the place still is a true gem of the twin cities. Located amongst the top upscale areas of the town, there's plenty to do in the park other than just walking and relaxing by the water. There's peddle boating and a golf course as well as upscale restaurants with patios opening up to the lake. During summers, there's farmers market as well as outdoor movie in the park on Thursdays. They have the events posted on the fb page for details. Feel like there's something to do here for every age group and personality!

Amazing park with a walking path and. Great place to go over skating! Pretty big area to skate, Bring your own or else they had decent rentals for $8. They had lockers to rent for your things or else most people just left their shoes out while they skated with no problems. They also have sledge for rental if you’ve toddler. On average it takes me 30 minutes for one round walking the Centennial Lakes walking path in Edina, MN. The scenery is exceptional. Often if I end my work day nearby, I take in a walk here. I enjoy doing this walk with my friends, business peers, and/or daughter. The labyrinth is fabulous and great for photo opportunities. It is so refreshing to take in a bite here after running errands and/or work. Dogs and dog walkers are frequently on the trail (on a leash) – and often they are super friendly and easy to complement. It is close to a mile a half walk. I love hearing the water fall and seeing the lights of nearby building reflecting on the water at dusk. Thursdays are market day. Ice Skating is available in the winter and lawn golf and boating in the warmer months. Visitors can enjoy summer concerts on the lawn, the tables set out for picnickers, porch swings and dining along the route. If you haven’t been there, it doesn’t cost anything to enjoy the walking path is one of the best kept secrets of the Twin Cities. We frequently take out of town guests there to share this exceptional scenic place. It’s an amazing setting year-round with a beautiful mix of nature, plantings and cityscape.

Always my go to place to walk around quick. Rent a paddle boat. Watch people fish and play with remote boats. The landscaping always lovely. A different experience every visit! Lots of places to just rest. Mini golf course too. Free concerts in the summer and farmers markets. 😀

Great ice skating fun! Not crowded at all on a Tuesday night. We rented skates and had a blast. Nothing negative to say. We’ll definitely be back!

I love this place! So much fun for the whole family. Just walking around is enough fun, so much to see. But, the paddle boats, remote control boats, golfing etc makes it even more exciting and fun! The movies in the park during the summer are a hit in my family and have been for years. It’s a hidden gem in my opinion:)

We’ve been going up to the cities for years and years and years. Never knew this place existed. It is well worth the trip, absolutely beautiful, you can walk around all three lakes. I think the trail is probably a little over half a mile or 3/4 of a mile long, restaurants, great views, mini golf course.

My eye clinic is in this building. It is a beautiful building. It has plenty of parking both outside and on the lower level inside. I like looking out at the man-made lake and the other buildings across the small lake. They are plenty of elevators and it's located in a convenient area right off of France Avenue and near 494.

We were married here 10 years go today. Decided to come back with the girls and have some Pizza from Pizza Lola and reminisce. They've done a nice job keeping the park up. Beautiful as we remember it.

It's such a cool park! Nice for a walking. I don't recommend small children's without strong supervision due to the water but overall. It's one of our favorite places.

One of my favorites. Really like the lake, but no swimming. Ice skating in winter and mini golf and other activities in the summer. Great little loops for walking (about 1.25 miles). Check it out!

I had the pleasure of checking this park out in late October! Being from Florida we don't have much color changes in our trees. Peaceful walk.

Gorgeous park with trails overlooking the water, plenty of seating (chairs + tables set up), shops within walking distance. Trails extend further behind The Container Store and become woodsy.

Gorgeous pavilion w/ plenty of nice wood benches indoors to gear up, a huge fireplace & reasonably priced skate rentals + concessions. The lake itself is straight out of a good Hallmark movie: an absolute dream come true. Follow the park's fb page for near-daily updates during skating season! So grateful for the people who run maintain it & made a lifelong dream of skating @ such a picturesque spot, on a REAL lake, come true after 29 years of waiting.

I love walking around this park. I chose to go for a paddle boat ride there today and it was lovely! I love the plentiful pollinator plants with educational markers. There is a mini golf course, labyrinth and swings and benches too.

Amazing park right in the middle of a busy urban area. Just happened to find it on a walk while staying at the Residence Inn that is just across the street.

  • 3/5 Tim J. 2 years ago on Google
Absolutely great place to go skating. They need to take it up a couple notches. Pinstrips and Tavern 23 could promote more by having skate up outside bars. They could have zamboni cleaning ice. They are missing opportunities. Oh, and Shovel steps to ice from Pinstripes.

This is a gorgeous place to hang out in nice weather. It's very accessible for wheelchairs. There is plenty of handicap parking (van accessible). I wheeled around the lake with my husband. It was a sunny, warm weekend day but there was no crowd here. It was incredibly quiet which was nice. Benches are available along the walk for rest or just relaxing. It's fun to watch the ducks in the water and the paddle boats - you can rent those but I didn't go in that area sorry! I think it does shift to another park at some point if you're going in the full loop as I saw a sign that said "South Park" -or that means it's the south part of this park. I'm not sure. It was well worth going as it's hard to find outdoor locations to wheel around without large hills. I have this marked as a place to go back to.

Paddle Boats were fun! The park is meticulously maintained. There is a flat labyrinth and sculpture garden area. Great place to just walk around be outside. Great for moms with strollers too since it's paved almost everywhere.

Very peaceful… I love ❤ the music that is played around the walking path and the mini golf and paddle boats are fun as well…… great place to take a date! I've kissed alot of girls while holding them on the swings built for two......I'd say at sunset the romantic level increases to 10+ there! 🥰

Nearby restaurants and bar, beautiful walking trails, gardens, paddling boats, open theater, putt putt golf course etc. I highly recommend to visit this place.

It is such a great place to go to that you would forget the fact that it is a park. They have businesses a put put golf and a stream boat for rent. Very chill and all the while they have a trail for you to take so you most definitely would need some comfortable shoes. I really enjoyed this park and so did my kids plus the environment and the atmosphere was great. When I come to Minnesota again I'm most definitely coming here again

It's easy to grab a coffee and meet with friends at the tables by the water to socially distance and feel comfortable. And it's a beautiful park. Quiet and pretty empty on Saturday mornings.

Centennial Lakes is a beautiful and relaxing place to meet friends to walk and chat. You can keep social distancing but still feel connected. It's fun to see the minerature golf and the families fishing. It is nicely landscaped with fun views from different spots around the lake.

I actually can't believe how beautiful and amazing this place is. Must be a mile long walking circuit around the lake that features a putting course, boat rental, a pavilion an amphitheater and more! Classical music gently plays the whole way around. All of the features and trees are decorated to fit the season. A perfect oasis in an urban jungle. Love it.

Nice trails, by lots of lakes, quiet and relaxing most of the time. In the fall, there are street musicians that play really nice music. I got married here in October. The background was really nice for pictures and the music from street musicians was nice. A guy playing the saxophone had played “can you feel the night” when my husband and I were doing our vows. It was the perfect timing 💕

Been here a few times over the years but I've never actually taken a walk around the park itself. Both my son and I enjoyed the walk around there very much. Would have given it five stars but the mini golf course seems to close a little too early in the season.
