The place is fine. If you have to drive for a long time to see it, it doesn't worth it. But if you're around and want to walk and see the water it's totally OK. Park is dog friendly. There are some picnic tables. Bathrooms are those kind of portable. The parking lot is kind of small but it's free. Depending on how crowded is, you may need to park in the street.

There isn't any easy path to get down to the fall but follow the footpath and find your way down... it's worth it. It is a beautiful place to visit and my kids and I truly enjoyed the hike and seeing this waterfall.

Great little spot for some walking along the paved path or if you're feeling adventurous like we were hiked/climbed down past the end of the rail and went to the the falls up close. Depending on the route you choose, it can be quite sketchy and you really should have on the right shoes. The paved path leads you down to and across a bridge where some people attach a lock.

A nice, scenic walk around a beautiful, natural landscape. If only the big milling operation wasn’t there to distract from the natural beauty.

A quiet place to clear your mind and have a good conversation with your partner in crime. It's very easy to get to the waterfalls, it's just few minutes away from the parking.

Beautiful. The unmarked, unpaved, unofficial trails are fun but required good boots and I highly suggest some general work gloves because you'll need to stabilize yourself or grab on to a rock, tree at some point. Some of the unmarked trails slope towards and are dangerously close to steep drop offs into the river gorge. Keep close watch of dogs and children. Do not go on the unmarked trails after dark. You'll trip for sure. Unique karst topography provides endless exploring opportunities. Find the caves.

On my way to North Minneapolis I decided to see what waterfalls were in the area. I'm so glad that I made the stop at this park and recreational area in the small town as the waterfalls and trails did not disappoint. There's so much to explore on both sides including the bridge the lower trails and the Old Mill ruins. This would have definitely been a place I would have been swimming in the creek throughout the days of summer

A beautiful park with amazing walking trails. You can walk or bike all the way from the top of the falls to a nice scenic bridge towards the end. Very dog friendly with nice wide trails. A nice way to spend some time outside!

This is a cool park where you can see the Vermillion Falls and follow paved paths or explorer hidden paths. There are plenty of cliffs and caves to navigate if you're brave enough. Just watch your step! This is also just a short walk from the historic Old Mill ruins. The only downside of this park is the amount of litter and graffiti that people unfortunately feel the need to leave in this otherwise beautiful spot.

I wasn't sure if I would want to come here because of the falls being so close to an industrial building. But I am a sucker for waterfalls and I must check them all out. I was surprised by how clean the park was. The falls are pretty neat too. Pretty big. I found out there's another park to view them on the other side of the river. I'll have to go to that part one day as well. Short walk from the parking lot. Nothing crazy but worth seeing.

Multiple water falls and trails located just by downtown Hastings. I enjoyed the rock formations along the river. It has an industrial feel being by an old plant. A popular stop in the Hastings area.

The falls are really pretty in fall of 2021. There's a trail along the river that leads to a bridge to cross the river. This might be a fun place to go for a bike ride too. The falls have water even in fall of 2022!

This place is such a beautiful, random stop. If you aren't familiar with the area and are completely oblivious, you may not know where the fall is, but it's so worth the stop. Dont be afraid to walk along the path and find different places to look, you wont be disappointed.

Underrated Hastings treasure. Is very accessible within minutes of a major highway, and yet wandering through it's possible to forget your in town at all in the right spots. More wheelchair accessible than most parks that date from the 1800s, but there are some steps.

Great little park. Nice walking trails and a view of the falls. Did a little bit of off-roading to get to the bottom of the falls but it was worth. I just wish people would pick up after themselves. I picked up a bag of pop/beer cans and other garbage.

A bit out of the way from most places, but worth the drive. Well kept park with trails, picnics tables and scenic overlooks.

Cool place and fun down by the waterfall. Easy hike. Some graffiti and trash as usual at any cool spot.

Approachable waterfall. Nice paved trail for walking or biking. Think it's 4 miles in total, along the way there's a huge frisbee golf course with massive oak trees and places to relax. Leaves are at peak already.

Nice park to go for a walk. The waterfall is really nice and so as the trails. It was my first time going there and I really enjoyed it with my family. Fall is one of our favorite times of the year to go to the parks because of all the beautiful leaves.

Awesome, but it made me miss my little red fierycracker so much I absorbed the seanery as if I was seeing it for her, such a beautiful place also made me think of her. I love you Red. ! !

This is worth a stop if you're in the area, but then head towards the Mississippi where Hastings becomes adorable - I will definitely go back and explore more, there, sometime. Unfortunately, the part of town the falls are in isn't as cute, but I'm glad the community thought to make a nice park and give people access to this area.

Nice park. Several walking trails. Plenty of parking on a Thursday afternoon. Good view of the falls. Take the hike to the Old Mill ruins. Sad to see the graffiti.

Free parking lot. Walking trail with hand rails to view falls from above. Wheel chair friendly. Great to see it in the winter. Lots of ice on paths to be mindful when walking.

Very clean and peaceful place. You can enjoy nature and take a walk.

This is such an amazing area to explore. The trails are fun and many lead closer to the falls.

Porta-potty near the parking lot, has a paved path down to the waterfall viewing area with a gazebo to hang out in. There is a steep short hill to get there so technically it is wheelchair accessible but it won't be easy pushing a wheelchair back up to the parking area, the other side of the hill has a dirt and soil set of stairs

The Vermillion Falls Park is gem that you may easily overlook as you drive past the Ardent Mills facility along side Highway 61 (Vermillion Street). Turn east onto 21st Street East, a short distance south of the mill, to get to the park entrance. I visited in late October when the trees were decked out in brilliant red and yellow. Beautiful! The falls are cut into a limestone escarpment. Although the river is small, the vertical drop of the main cascade is 35 feet and there are several smaller drops both upstream and downstream of the main falls. There is a hiking trail that crosses the river via a high bridge to the east of the falls. You'll find the chain-link fence along the sides of bridge is covered with padlocks left by lovers wanting to seal their commitment. It's well worth a stop. In good weather, bring a picnic lunch to enjoy.

Super cool park - much more interesting when the temp is above 32 degrees F, but it's still really neat in the winter. The falls freeze and are quite a sight, and contrasted by industry/factories, is an interesting place to reflect on humans and the environment.

Beautiful park to relax or explore. Falls and ruins were so cool to look at, even found some caves

👍👍 Nice little park, we like to wander the trails across the bridge and hunt for shells. Saw they have updated play equipment too, a much needed upgrade.

👍👍 Our kids are 11 and 5, this was our first time coming here. The playground was super fun for them. They liked seeing the ducks and geese (though the ducks and geese do leave a lot of poo) and we saw a fawn as well. They enjoyed the ponds watching the fish and turtles swim around. 👍👍 Pretty cute little Park. I remember when there used to be a swimming pool in this area and now it's just a splash pad and a pretty big playground. 👍 This is a pretty nice park. The equipment is all in good shape. The woodchip ground does a decent job. The only thing I wished was if the trash and debris were picked up a little better.
