Absolutely beautiful park with lots of trails and plenty of stuff to do. I went on a walk on some of the trails to explore the park and I definitely didn’t regret it. There’s lots to explore and it’s an absolutely beautiful area. It’s a very peaceful place to go on a walk and enjoy a nice day

I've been here at least once a day for months. It's good for the soul. There are plenty of manicured and paved paths for a casual walk as well as hidden paths to discover for yourself. Bring a camera.

Such a great space to gather with family and friends. Came here with a large group. Had breakfast and hot drinks. Stayed for several hours, eating, talking and playing games. Had the breakfast sandwich and burrito. Americano and chai lattes. All good.

Very nice park to hike, walk, ski, riding a bike, or canoeing. Can be used all year round. This winter no show except where they made snow.

A gorgeous space indeed to be able to have such access too. Very proud of the city for keeping it and the widely practiced community space etiquette is great!!

Great park! My partner and I live nearby and this is a great place to take our little dog on a walk. There are also a ton of other outdoor activities you can do here, like mountain biking and golf, so it seems like there's a lot to offer for everyone. Very beautiful area.

Beautiful walking trail. Not to mention, there were a bunch of cute wild turkeys that I helped cross the street nearby by walking in the middle of the street so the cars would stop for the gobbles to cross safely without being ran over. They seemed very appreciative. : )

What a great regional treasure for bicyclists - skinny tires or fat. Always something going on be it a loppet or pet adoption.

Most wonderful time of the Year! Snow regardless of weather w the snow making equipment....in W European Danish culture there is a concept of hygge.... meaning... a quality of coziness and comfortable conviviality that engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being (regarded as a defining characteristic of Danish culture)....Theodore Wirth Trailhead exemplifies this hygge w its snow , trails for skiing and a warm spot to get a coffee or lunch at their cafe w friends and family!

We had wonderful family time! The park was lovely! There was a very nice shelter with plenty of tables, counters, sink, and restrooms. Outside there were flowers, a playground, a volleyball court, trails, a lake etc.

Small sweet lake to take the canoe for a short paddle. Lake temperature was comfortable. Sectioned area for swimming and a playground. As we made our way around the lake, we saw folks fishing from the docks. There is a walking trail. Free parking is available. Lake has milfoil, but we did not get hung up. Enjoyed the shore vegetation and a few birds. There are some picnic tables and off maybe a 4 minute walk is a toilet.

Great. I really enjoyed the experience. It is a hidden treasure in the twin cities for wild flowers and trees. Amazing assortment that is accessible and provides a nice balance of a curated space in a natural setting. A self guided card of the wild flowers in bloom made the experience a mini treasure hunt for people of all ages. Can't wait to go back.

We were fortunate enough to attend a wedding here ... a stunning place where the turning leaves and surrounding mountain bikers enhanced the experience. The indoor facilities were clean and well managed based on our experience.

Awesome hiking and biking trails so close to the city. Can really get a feel for nature without going out of the city. There are many spots here where you really feel in the woods. There are a variety of trails that go for miles! Love it here!

Great mountain biking in the heart of the metro area, you'd never guess you were riding just minutes from the edge of downtown! Trails range from technical to somewhat flow-y, give you plenty of features like wooden skinnys, log and rock rollovers, various rock gardens both climbing and descending, banked turns and the park as a whole offer a very decent amount of elevation change up and down. Riders of all levels can find enjoyment here too. The trails are well marked and well maintained. You do need to keep an eye out for peds and multidirectional biking at times, but in general it's one way single track and the hikers tend to stick to the two ski trails and off of the single. Def a must ride if you're a mtn biker living in the concrete jungle.

Beautiful natural park with unpaved trails. Not much parking and the road in is a single vehicle road. But lovely and serene location.

I come here every year for cross country ski lessons to tune up for my once a year race. I have little or no snow during the year. The instructors are fantastic and patient. The course is well groomed and cared for. The trailhead building is first rate.

Great place to ski in the winter, with lots of trails with varying levels of difficulty. The warming house is newly rebuilt and nice, with good food inside and vintage skis lining the walls! Wirth also has excellent trail running paths in the summer.

Fantastic place for all levels and all seasons. I’ve gone skiing there and biking and have enjoyed it for both activities. I will say the skiing in particular is amazing. Great trails, and The Trailhead has great services and food to enjoy after skiing

Great destination for outdoor enthusiasts alike. Snowshoeing, mountain biking, skiing, hiking, sledding... do it all. I do advise anyone who is winter biking the off-road trails to check the forum at MORC.ORG before going so you know the conditions and any closure.

Not the best public golf watering hole, but a fun place to go tubing, x-country skiing, hiking, snowshoeing, walking, nature ogling, mountain biking and running! Super pretty Lodge to get hot cocoa and rental x country ski's, to warm up, snow tubes, or lessons as well!

What a great spot! The building is modern, clean, and welcoming, and the trails are well maintained and color coded by difficulty. I got to try mountain biking for the first time on rented bikes, and afterwards got a delicious lunch at the cafe. Great resource for new bikers and hardcore bikers alike, and I hear they do even more business in the winter with skiers.

Great trails in the heart of the city. The work the volunteers do here is second to none, to provide us with amazing riding close to home.

Had fun as a beginner. Parking is a bit limited on Saturday. Ski rental available, just leave your shoes in the rest area. Hot chocolate & other beverages & food served inside.

Great park within the Minneapolis park’s system. It literarily feels like a place that has something for everyone. If you like adventure sports there are trails for mountain biking, trail running, or cross country skiing. There is also golf, beaches, playgrounds, a cool bog, a butterfly garden and so much more! It is definitely a spot worth a visit no matter the season.

Favorite place to nordic ski in Twin Cities. Great grooming and views. Summer music, mountain bike trails, flower gardens and quaking bog are spectacular!

Course was in excellent condition. Although some spots were dried out from the heat and no rain. Fairways and rough. Front desk staff were friendly and grounds crew. Greens were in good condition. Will be back.

Looking to go skiing, snow shoeing, sledding, or want to spot a deer, coyote, foxes, red black white and grey squirrels this is the place. Golfing, fishing even ice fishing, and swimming in the summer or rent the Chateau. Very conviently located. Also in the summer you can spot the rare birds and snapper turtles crossing the street. Family picnics and events. Volley ball and more.

Beautiful park. Eloise Butler Wildflower Gardens are wonderful. One of very few places to see Ladyslipper flowers in the metro area.

👍👍 I came here for my young kids not knowing what this park was. I was in for a surprise when I ended up playing and running around while my 7 year old called me crazy. It's so much fun!
