Visited the southern access point of this nearly 140-year-old trail. Winds it's way around the river for about 5 miles total. Looking forward to hitting the trail in earnest when the leaves turn in the fall.

A lot of options. Has big biking and walking trails running parallel and over the river. Lots of good side trails to explore. Terrain pretty easy to venture off through the trees and rocks. Pretty views of the river and landscape across the river.

This is a great trail to walk during the fall, right along the river.

I hiked the total 5.4 miles out along the river where I could and stayed on the river road walking path coming back. There is a small parking lot at the south end of the trail, but plenty of parking on the residential streets nearby. You can make the trail as short or as long as you like as there are multiple on/off trails. The trail isn't far from the river road trail on the southern end but you feel far more removed from the hustle and bustle of the city. Would be great in the fall!

Beautiful trail. The 2023 autumn leaves were gorgeous. The 40+ steps lead down to the Mississippi River. Pictures can’t do justice to the beauty. The view was breathtaking. Attended a wedding which was perfect

Lovely winter hike! Very nice view of the river. Not too slippery with the snowy/icy weather. A couple little hills.

Beautiful spot near Minnehaha Falls along the Minneapolis side of the Mississippi River. The hike follows a narrow path along the bluffs. While it is only moderately trafficked, the narrow pathway and bluffs force you into very close proximity with other foot traffic. If there wasn't a pandemic, this wouldn't be much of an issue but if you are concerned about transmission (I am because of immunocompromised family members) this is something that you should know before enjoying this hike. Bring good shoes too, it is not paved throughout and there are unbalanced segments along with a few steep inclines/declines. Besides these disclaimers, it is a beautiful and accessible short hike that I recommend to anyone looking for nature vibes snack dab in the middle of Man's two biggest cities :)

Nice walk. Much of it is heavily wooded and you can choose to walk on dirt paths some of the distance. No cross streets over some 20 blocks. Peaceful and lovely.

Pretty area and options for difficulty once you get going. Hiking boots and plenty of time to explore recommended

👍👍 Had a great experience at this stadium watching Rammstein. Security was efficient and friendly. Had some fried cheese curds that were the best I have ever had. Prices for concessions suck though. The concert it's self sounded great. However the music playing before the show could barely be heard....
