Very pretty gardens near a lake outside of downtown Minneapolis. Lots of walking paths and gardens to explore with interesting plants and pretty flowers.

Very nice park! It smells really nice and its close to lake harriet. You can walk around lake and check this out for a good workout. There is alot of parking around and people visiting. It is not very crowded and the area is very safe. Very peaceful and smells delicious

Forty two years ago we were married in this lovely park. Every June we come back to reminisce. Beautiful day today, rain and sunshine, exactly like it was the day we got married.

This is one of my favorite places in the cities to visit year round. The landscape is gorgeous. It is very peaceful there. I go there to be alone and gather my thoughts.

Garden is super pretty, but be careful. Many people come for wedding or family photos. Come early. Also right next to the underrated bird preserve and of course near Lake Harriet.

Lyndale Park Gardens, along with the Rose Gardens, is an (also) an exquisite little gem! The gardens, as there more than one within very short walking distance, are beautiful and well kept. Lovely fountains and lots of benches make the gardens a great place to sit, talk, contemplate or to sit in silence with yourself. Parking by the lake is free though a bit limited and there is a pay parking option as well.

A must see attraction in Minneapolis. Gorgeous garden, beautiful flowers, a bird sanctuary, walking trails around Lake Harriet. Definitely stop by and enjoy some fresh air here. A wonderful spot to take photos at as well. 💖 📷

This place had such a beautiful fountain where you can ask someone to marry you lol. Watching the sunset as it sets on all the flowers and everything that the garden has is such a beautiful scenery. Definitely reccomend taking your significant other or a friend for a nice nature walk.

The rose garden is magnificent, as is the Japanese Garden and the entire floral parade. Beautiful fountains and water features enhance this must see TC landmark. Cheap parking available, a porta potty, and drinking fountains aid the experience. Plus it is a ho, skip and jump away from Calhoun Lake. Just go!

This park is a lovely and beautiful place to stroll. Next to Lake Harriet. Garden typically begins blooming mid-June and lasts till early October. You can see history sculpture and beautiful water fountain. Such a glorious place garden to visit and take pictures.

This is a very beautiful open park. Lots of greenery, flowers, and landscaping. You can easily spend 1 hour here taking a casual stroll. Great place for a picnic. There are no benches though. There's parking available. It is not enclosed or secluded. So you won't feel like you are on some nature hike.

Saw some cool stuff! The trails are beautifully maintained, and the rise garden is absolutely stunning! So glad to spend some time here before leaving Minneapolis. It was a nice strong dose of nature time before hopping on an airplane! Also highly recommend checking out the bird sanctuary. It was a stunning, peaceful walk!

Lots of unique plants and varieties of roses. Stop and smell them already! Also, great place to see monarchs, hummingbirds and cute frogs (just don't kiss 'em)!

I love it here. The flowers here are beautiful and so well kept. It is the perfect place to stop and smell the roses. I really enjoy hammocking here with friends because you are so close to the lake as well as bread and pickle. This is also such a good place for a picnic with parking all around the park. Some parking is pay parking but there is street parking. I also take homecoming pictures here every year with friends.

Great garden! Will be back. I really love these pointy red roses. I wish I knew what kind these are. Loved it. Impressed the girlfriend too.

Sometimes a great place to sit, relax and enjoy tulips, roses and crab apple blossoms. Unfortunately over the years a greater number of people come here to swing in their poorly supported hammocks, disturb the quiet with music and let their kids destroy the crab apple trees.

I was looking at the flowers and they were volunteers doing a wonderful job. Plus wedding parties taken their photos and using traditional dress from their countries it's beautiful the lake was calm and sailboats were beautiful and great company.

It's sad that the fountains aren't running (anywhere) I'm sure it's a Covid thing but I don't understand why. I miss them.

Hard to beat Lyndale Park Gardens just off the northeast shore of Lake Harriet in Minneapolis. Lyndale Park contains four amazing gardens; the Peace Garden, the Rose Garden, the Perennial Garden, and the Perennial Trial Garden. Immediately adjacent to the Peace Garden is the Thomas Sadler Roberts Bird Sanctuary. The Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board and Men’s & Women’s Garden Club of Minneapolis (MWGCM) work collaboratively to maintain and improve the gardens. Two fountains border the gardens; the bronze and marble Heffelfinger (cherub) fountain from Villa Montalto near Florence, Italy, and the Phelps (turtle) fountain, which was moved from the downtown Gateway Park in 1963. A terrific place to explore, relax, hammock, and take in the sights and smells of this Minneapolis classic. Check it out!

A friend and I traveled up here from Waseca, and was I ever blown away. We thoroughly enjoyed the walking trails and taking in the sheer beauty of these gardens. As we walked and took in the sights and beauty, we were also overcome with the lovely fragrance of the blooming flowers, and what I can only assume were Lilac trees. Wow, such an oasis to be enjoyed by everyone! So come and be overwhelmed by the beauty and the fragrance!

Love spending time here, it's great to grab a towel and bike down here and lay out with a book on a nice day. Lots of space to spread out from other people, compared to by the lake where it gets more congested.
