A great place to exercise, walk and just sit and people watch on both sides of the river. I can thing of numerous places on and around the bridge that are just very picturesque. Not to mention it's really practical for cars, bicycles and pedestrians.

This bridge is quite iconic in the twin cities. When you travel from downtown east the brilliant Grain Belt beer sign greets you to that side of the river. Highly suggested for a true Minneapolis experience.

Nice walk on a beautiful February day. Bridge has great, very wide, walks on both sides, the iconic Grain Belt sign, the north side has great eateries and bars, lots of pizza joints...neat neighborhood.

We checked this bridge out last weekend, and found it manageable. However, though named "The Hennepin Avenue Bridge", we found that it actually crosses the Mississippi River (a decidedly pleasant bonus). Update: After crossing this bridge over 5 times within the past year, I can confidently say "this bridge is still here". Unlike certain local establishments (*cough* Nye's), I think we'll be experiencing H.A.Bridge's breathtaking wonder for years to come.

This bridge is part of a loop that goes around the Mississipi river and crossses it in several spots. It is a nice walk with great views and different places to stop to have a snack or a drink. There are all over the path so you won't get lost.

A wonderful park right on the river front. I can not wait until its summer and its fully packed. I was surprised by how casual people are with videography there as well.

Cool bridge to walk across with beautiful views of Minneapolis and the river. Bridge was fairly clean and sidewalk was wide enough to allow passing.
