I was really impressed with the service and food. Cheese bread is in a class of its own without question. They have their own large parking lot too, so don’t worry about the meter. We’ve been back here a few more times since the first visit. Legit place! You have to try it.

We visited family in St. Paul, and they recommended Degidio’s. It was so good and so fun. At the table we had the goat cheese for an app and then two of us had chicken parmigiana, one had tortellini, and one had a hot dago. It was all amazing, and there was so much leftovers. I am looking forward to the next time I come back to St. Paul, and I’m recommending it

It’s difficult to find a good Italian restaurant here in the twin cities but I think I finally found one. Chicken parm portion was generous and very tasty. Tortellini ala Vodka had delicious creamy garlic buttery sauce. I will say the calamari was a bit chewy however I was impressed with breading and the of the calamari. I would recommend checking this place out.

Classic Italian food for takeout. My wife and I were talking the other day and she asked what is the ultimate classic Italian restaurant. My answer was DeGidios! If you haven’t tried it you really should make the trip. We ordered takeout off their website, which was really easy. They have parking spots right out front for take out and they run it out to you. Now the food. My wife’s gnocchi with Italian sausage will make you drool. The gnocchi was tender and the sauce was full of flavor. My Chicken Parmesan could feed the neighborhood and has a classic flavor with loads of cheese. I would also recommend the mozzarella sticks and Stromboli. I love Stromboli as an app and this didn’t disappoint with a nice crisp crust that didn’t mush out on the ride home. To say we have leftovers is an understatement. So if you want to step back in time and have the classic Italian food of your childhood, stop in to DeGidio’s.

Friendly service, and they say it's a really old business, which is pretty cool. I felt like the sauce was a bit harsh. Maybe over cooked, or overly salted. Everything seemed to have a lot of kick to it. I don't mind spice, but things seemed acidic. It could have just been an off night, but I sampled other peoples plates, and the sauce was consistently harsh. When I reheated my lasagna leftovers, they were even more overwhelming. I really wouldn't want to be critical of a place that's been around for like over 80 years, I'm just keeping it real. The service was really nice though, and the prices were cool. You should go check them out and see if I'm wrong. They definitely earned my repeat business based on their hospitality. I'll try them again someday.

What a Gem! This a wonderful place to eat and relax. The atmosphere is beautiful. Lots of polished wood and brass light fixtures. The food is amazing. We had spaghetti and meatballs, fresh baked bread and garlic butter. Fresh, hot and large portions, to bring home and enjoy it some more. The Staff is very friendly. Thank you! Kendall and Alexandra

We took our family who was in town here for dinner. They are Italian so it's hard to please them. We got the olives and anti pasta plate to start. It was pretty good. Then we got some spaghetti and meatballs ...also they have a pretty good gluten free option that my mother in law needs. We got some of the tortellini bolenese which we were told was the best seller....the Mrs said it was ok but I got the special of the day which was rigatoni in vodka sauce with meatballs. This was a very good dish and fresh. They also had some fresh bread that was pretty good also. One thing we liked was they bring a bottle of water for the table....nothing worse when A waitress is busy and all you need is a water refill.. One downside they did not offer fresh parmeesian and a restaurant at this price point should be offering that. They do have street parking which is on busy west 7th...and a free lot that was full....but still free. The price and service were also good. I would go back here for sure and my out of town relatives all liked their meal check it out.

DeGidio's shines with its traditional pasta, truly capturing the essence of Italian cuisine. However, their innovative pizza fries fell flat, reminiscent more of breadsticks served with pizza sauce than an exciting fusion dish. A dash of cheese could add the missing pizzazz. Service was satisfactory - polite and timely, but without any memorable highlights. In all, DeGidio's offers a decent Italian dining experience but needs a dash of creativity and charm to truly stand out. Good for pasta lovers, but those seeking culinary surprises might want to hold their expectations.

Nice little dinner spot! The lighting was dim and the atmosphere was perfect for a date night! We had the shrimp alfredo and added salmon. It was delicious and seasoned perfectly.

A great dining experience, lots of quality pasta dishes to choose from with good portion sizes. We really enjoyed the Seafood Pasta & Chicken Parmesan, very tasty and flavorful. Then we had the Chocolate Molten Lava Cake for dessert. And good service as well throughout the meal, DeGidio's continues to be a staple in St. Paul!

We had an early dinner therefore we were seated immediately. It was still just a little busy. It was quiet, nice for casual conversation. We were greeted by our server very quickly with a nice introduction. He was very welcoming. We ordered a "starter", calamari which was brought to us promptly. The portion of calamari was enough for 4 of us. It was super tasty. The other items we ordered off of the menu were delivered promptly. The portions were very generous. The flavors were fantastic. The prices were very reasonable.

Most Italian restaurants closed on Monday so that's how we ended up here. We had a table reserved for 5...absolutely fantastic here. We all gobbled down most of the food before itook pictures. I will remember the warm olive appetizer and my special-squash ravioli with hazelnuts and balsamic glaze most of all. It's a dish I will dream about...like phenomenal! Super busy and I can see why. They do have a huge parking lot but it was packed. Waitress was superb! Make a reservation if you are going. Just GO!!!!! 10 OUT OF 5 🌟

This was a very good meal. Looking for a nice place to sit down and have a good conversation over a great meal? You need to try DeGidio's. The dinner was delicious and Kate was a great server who offered some very good recommendations. The meal was a very good value because our whole party still had a to go box. Portion were good. So if you are in St Paul and looking for a place to eat this is worth the drive.

Had an amazing experience at DeGidio's last night. Started with garlic cheese bread, which was good. Ordered Rigatoni & Porchetta Meatballs as main entree. Delicious flavor, red sauce a little spicy (yum!), and dish was filling. Paired nicely with red wine. Yes parking was a challenge, which we knew it might be, but it was easy enough to find street parking nearby. This place is a Saint Paul dining establishment!

Loved the Blackened Shrimp Alfredo and Spumoni. Excellent cocktails, modest beer selection and great service. Don't be afraid to ask for more spice! Really good bread and garlic butter is icing on the cake.

I'd give the food and the overall place a 4.5 star rating, but of course there is no 4.5 star option. I had the chicken parmesan and it was plenty and cheesy. I couldn't put my finger on it, but it didn't appear that the chicken breast was homemade, but it tasted good. My wife had the pesto pasta, which was very very rich. Not my favorite, flavor was too overwhelming but my wife said that she liked it. The goat cheese appetizer was super delicious though. Overall a very solid place with good service and good comfort food. Reasonably priced too.

I got the blacked shrimp pasta and it was amazing! I would get it again. On the other hand, not sure if the toast was suppose to be burnt. Some people like it like this but not I. Staff was kinda slow with refilling my water. It took them 20 minutes to refill my water so I had to ask another person to refill me water. Other than that. The calamari was disgusting. The squid they used was hard and dry. It tasted like it was rotten.

First time there but we'll be back. Genuinely nice people, great food and drinks and the tiramisu was some of the best I've ever tasted. Topped the night off with their drink called the oldest fashioned. Atmosphere made I'll the better.

Ordered via GrubHub. Quick delivery and food was hot. The cheese bread and marinara was amazing. The lasagna was okay, the red sauce was different on the lasagna than the dipping sauce. I loved the dipping sauce.

Overall great food and service. I had the Rigatone with Porchetta Meatballs which was good, but it had a strong spice taste that I could not think of what exactly it was. Still good though. My wife had the Rigatone Ala Vodka with Chicken which was super good. The Cheesy bread was also good, but the bottoms were a bit too crunchy for my wifes preference. The drinks were definitely on the pricey side for a comparable restaurant. The atmosphere was perfect for a cozy Italian restaurant.
