It is a beautiful place with a lot of color now in summer time and when you walk among the rose bushes you can smell their fragrance. The fountain for water is working again which was closed due to covid-19. You can see a great diversity of flowers and if you like to take pictures this is the perfect place. Around the garden there are green areas where you can have a picnic with the family, sit on a bench and read a good book or just enjoy the view and relax.

Whether you are a rose lover or not, you will find yourself in awe of the fragrance and elegance of this formal rose garden. It has multiple rows of various types of roses on both sides of the wide walkway that lead you from the front to the back of the garden. Each row of well marked roses is edged with purple alyssum. The park has been meticulously manicured and is simply stunning when the roses are in full bloom.

I quite enjoyed walking on this park like mowed lawn with rows of roses . many varieties. fragrant lovely. There were old blooms that were all done and dying. But- still enough blooms that were fresh and newer as in my pics . And rose buds will likely open this week.

This is a small but very nice rose garden. Its not crowded for a nice walk on Sunday afternoon. It’s a short walking distance to Lake Harriet. There is a small parking lot next to the garden.

This park is such a beautiful place to stroll and enjoy beautiful flowers. Right next to Lake Harriet. Lyndale Rose Garden is the second oldest public rose garden in the United States. Beautiful history sculpture and beautiful water fountain. Mid June flowers will start to bloom until early October. Great place to go take pictures and smell the flowers 💐

I’ve been going here for years and I am always amazed how beautiful and well maintained the rose garden is. It try to get out here once every year and it’s always a wonderful experience. It’s next to Lake Harriet and I recommend walking the lake and the rose garden. There’s also a Japanese garden across the street which is also very fun to visit. Both of these gardens are great places to do photography and photo ops with family and friends. They do an amazing job every year displaying a huge collection of roses. Many of them small sooooo good!

The Rose Gardens at Lake Harriet is such a remarkable place. Just imagine for a minute, that this place was opened 100 years ago. The second oldest Rose Garden in the nation. Fast forward, the earthy smells of fresh mulch and beautiful array of roses is enough to calm anyone. Take a stroll, take a walk, drive by or ride a bike through and you can’t help but to admire the careful grooming of the Minneapolis Parks and Recreation. Giving a shout out to the Minneapolis Teen Teamworks crew for helping and assisting with weeding, mulching and grooming on such a beautiful day!!!

Highly recommend. Hopefully, I'll get to witness it next year when things are in full bloom. So, so beautiful.

Peak time to visit tends to be June. Just a lovely place! On site parking and two port-a-potties on site as well for last minute bathroom breaks. Across the street from Lake Harriet.

The Robert Birds Sanctuary is in one word, magical. I've had deeply profound experiences here. It feels like my safe place. I walk here almost everyday, really only ever taking a break from it when it's just too cold to be outside.

Both the rose garden and peace gardens across the street are beautiful. Be sure to make time to walk through the next time you're in the area. Fun for kids too with all the fountains, waterfall, bridge, and pathways

Hard to beat the Lyndale Park Rose Garden just off the northeast shore of Lake Harriet in Minneapolis. It is the second oldest public rose garden in the United States, showcases 3,000 plants in 100 different varieties, and was designed by Park Superintendent Theodore Wirth. The Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board and Men’s & Women’s Garden Club of Minneapolis (MWGCM) work collaboratively to maintain and improve the 1.5 acres and adjacent Peace Garden, Perennial Garden, and Perennial Trial Garden.  A terrific place to explore, relax, hammock, and take in the sights and smells of this Minneapolis classic. Check it out!

Lyndale Park Rose Garden has always been one my favorite places in the world, surrounding my being with amazing landscaping art, fragrances, colors, flowers, grass, bee hives, trees, birds, fountain, sun dial, admirers, lake; and use of nature, energy and time. 💞

FREE & BEAUTIFUL! Especially during this strange time with COVID-19, now is the best moment to get out in nature and get your daily movement in. This garden is so well-cared for and such a treasure in Minneapolis. As spring turns into summer and then into fall, this garden takes on a new look and vibe with each season. Try to visit it at each stage and you will enjoy the way the plants and overall scene change. Perfect space for a romantic stroll with your partner or a place where your kiddos can roam and be in awe of all the colors and wildlife they see!

Beautiful setting and very popular (especially during prom season. Parking can be a monster so if it's going to be a nice sunny day, plan on either getting there early or driving around to find a place to park.

I absolutely love this place. It's the perfect setting to lie im the grass and relax with a book or friends. Right next to the lake, you can stop over for a swim or a quick walk. Absolutely gorgeous flowers. Stop by the bird sanctuary and listen to the frogs sing when they're in season!

👍👍 Had a great experience at this stadium watching Rammstein. Security was efficient and friendly. Had some fried cheese curds that were the best I have ever had. Prices for concessions suck though. The concert it's self sounded great. However the music playing before the show could barely be heard....
