Beautiful park! Lots of shore line and nature to explore. We didn't walk around everywhere available, but where we did venture to it was magnificent! The roads and everything look well maintenanced. There wasn't any litter or clutter where we visited. I will definitely return with my family to view more of the park, wildlife, and nature!

This is a very nice park! As you can see in the map picture, there are many trails to choose from the trails are well kept and easy to walk with a basic sneaker. It was beautiful even in late fall, these pictures were taken right after thanksgiving 2021. There are bathrooms onsite. There is also an area of rescued birds! You can see an owl very up close, a striking experience! I would recommend checking out this free park to anyone who likes nature, beginners to hiking or advanced :)

Carver Park provides an amazing back drop for a family or friend day of fun. The trails are groomed, are wide and well marked. Due to the number of miles of trails, they are not packed. Good place for beginners and experienced cross country skiers as there are easy trails and really hard trails. At the end of your day, warm up by the fire. Note: on busy days in the c afternoon parking can be at a premium.

Carver Park offers both paved trails and unpaved forest paths that are lovely in all seasons. The views are amazing, dogs must be on leash but there’s plenty to sniff. We love this place. There are bathrooms and plenty of parking.

I was "wowed" by this location, so beautiful and clean! My only gripe is that the camp site's are very close together and next to the road. Not the best place for toddlers that don't listen to "stop," and like to make a mad dash in the road. Other than that I thought it was great. (The dashing toddler is not pictured but his big sister is).

This park has long, smooth, paved trails for biking and rollerblades. The rolling hills prevent the loop from getting boring, and there are a few pull-offs with great views of the landscape. There are loops of various sizes so groups of any endurance level can enjoy the paths

Fabulous place to visit. Huge playgrounds for the kiddos. Pleasant atmosphere. Bike trails. Lots to do! The campgrounds have an excellent beach area with soft sand and no drop offs. Our family really enjoyed this place. It's an oasis in the middle of the cities.

Convenient trail access from the cities and group style bike only site makes this an easy overnighter. There is wood for purchase (not cash only) at the entry kiosk and a small beach. The campground has a smaller feel and the bike only site is on a hill with two separate recessed fire rings surrounded by pavers and nice benches. There are also posts for hanging your hammock if you bike without a tent. There was a decent level of noise from the nearby roads throughout the evening and into the night. I would definitely recommend the bike only site for solo or group camping, the other sites (besides the two lake and forest spots) do not have much of a barrier between them and seem fairly exposed.

Very country and quiet. They are doing a bat rehabilitation at the archery range. We stayed till dusk and watched the bats come out of their huge bat house. Archery range was excellent and not busy. There are picnic tables by the archery range.

This is an absolutely wonderful nature park. Lots of trails, lots of space, not crowded. It has a good feng-shui type of flow to the design. It also connects to other parks and trails so if you want to make a big adventure out of it you can. If you want a short walk or bike ride, you can do that too. Several lakes are in the Park Reserve and it's nice to see them all. Highly recommended. Come prepared, it's not 100% paved and definitely not sprayed for bugs. It's natural!

Have been coming here with friends and family for many years. A great place to hike or just have a nice picnic. The Lowry Nature Center is wonderful for little kids to explore.

They have a dog park area!! You can actually go on trails with your pooch. I was pleasantly surprised...however, the paved trails had a lot of bikers...so walking a dog needs to be on a non-retractable leash. I believe there is a fee to use the dog park area.

Nice paved trails meander for miles making for a beatific autumn bike ride. We were amazed how quiet it was for a Saturday.

👍 Nice little beach if you can handle the walk. Laketown is a very small but pleasantly sandy beach. The trek from the parking lot is a bit arduous as many of the steps are completely covered with sand. You basically have to scale a small dune to get to the beach. There is private property flanking bo...

👍👍 Very good place to visit during the weekend. A lot of trails and opportunities to learn about Minnesota wildlife. If you visit in summer bring a very good insect repellent: bugs can be very aggressive!
