UCHealth University of Colorado Hospital Emergency Room

Emergency room Emergency care service

👍👍 I love UCHealth. That is not hyperbole, it is an understatement. Somehow, someone knows how to build a team of individuals that individually and collectively gracefully and beautifully act in concert to deliver outrageously awesome medical care. Each day they risk themselves to exposure to illnesses... People often mention nurse, told,

My experience on my life has been wonderful with University however I went to the emergency room and it was horrific this doctor came in talking like he was auctioning me off he talked so fast and spent all of 30 seconds with me to tell me there was nothing they could do I sat in the waiting room and watched him going for other rooms in this then a minute how dare you treat people's lives as if they don't count if we come to the emergency room is because we want to find out why? Not be treated like we're being option and then when I made a comment about it a nurse said that's how University wants I still would recommend University of Colorado. Great doctors and nurses overall.

I love UCHealth. That is not hyperbole, it is an understatement. Somehow, someone knows how to build a team of individuals that individually and collectively gracefully and beautifully act in concert to deliver outrageously awesome medical care. Each day they risk themselves to exposure to illnesses (including Covid, which I had) to themselves AND their most loved people... their family and friends. Amazing. Lovely. Truly amazing. Thank you.

Was not clean at all, and every time my elderly aunt needed help and rang her light they never came out.I would have to go out to nurses station and then the attitude because they had to get up and physically check a patient. The one that stood out was Olivia, not patient and very short, and almost felt like we were a bother actually. NOT a people person at all.

I told them that I live in az I have been in different hospitals and this is the first time that something like this happened to me they told me it was normal to have that much blood coming out of me. Furthermore, I was ordered another EKG exam they accidentally gave me some paperwork saying that there was some abnormalities found on the first one that they took but shortly after I started complaining about my whole IV issue and asking to speak to the Manager in charge who was on the floor I had two different nurses come to me, claiming that they were the head nurse on the floor and they told me that this happens all the time. Later on another nurse came in and told me that she was the one in charge and she had no idea who had told me that they were the head nurse, but that they weren’t and before I could actually even get my second EKG that the doctor had ordered I was released by the nurse and never saw the doctor when I was given my last paperwork the paperwork that had said that there was some abnormal was missing. I’m completely baffled by this behavior to be honest, this is not something normal, and I believe that if the nurses who had attended me not been too busy, singing and dancing, he would’ve correctly shown the other nurse, who you could tell was obviously knew how to correctly put on an IV I’m just completely in shock over the incompetence of this hospital. It doesn’t help they have a beautiful building and it looks so nice on the outside when you guys are horrible when it comes to practicing medicine, bedside manners and completely overlooked a little things. Would definitely recommend going to this hospital if you have any other Other hospital near you Go there specially if you want good care for your loved one

I’d give 0 stars if I could. I called to make sure this was indeed the correct place, as there are a lot of UCHealth centers (but not all are level 1) and when I asked for confirmation Sarah, working on 1/4/2024 at 10:30 pm gave about the rudest and most bothered “ya” possible. People calling or bringing their loved ones here are obviously concerned and most likely in a sensitive state- hence why it’s an emergency. And your bedside manner matters. When I mentioned to her how rude she was she felt the need to argue it with me. My sister who needs to be seen due to shortness of breathe and chest pain felt instantly uncomfortable going here based solely on her annoyed expression. We went to rose medical instead. Do better Sarah, and UCHealth.

Excellent, professional ER experience. Intake was smooth, clearly moved from step to step, always knew what was next. Lots of people/team around, plenty of communications, got through testing to diagnosis very efficiently. Not at all what I imagined an ER experience would be like - much, much better!

My experience was a nightmare that started after my discharge. The security that night was absolutely awful and had lack of leadership. While I waited for my intelliride through my insurance, to take me back to my car, I was attacked by a very hostile belligerent security supervisor that accused me if being in the waiting room from 10pm to 5am which was not true. I came in by ambulance at 7pm and was taken directly to ER Room 44, where I easily given test, I was discharged at 2pm. This man kicked me out if the Emergency Room leaving me to stand outside in the cold, the very cold that sent me to the ER in the first place with shortness of breath. I have pulmonary embolism from a blood clot in my lung. The cold air greatly affects my breathing. He then told me to walk to Colfax Avenue to get a bus to my car. I told him I could not walk that far, then he let me know that was my problem. I did nothing wrong. I caused no disruptions, or displayed any behavior that would warrant such action. I don't know what the motivation was behind it. I will not tolerate such ill treatment from hospital security, and will file several complaints.

I went here because I was having breathing issues that were a concern for me. It'd been a month, so I decided it'd probably be best to go get checked. The nurse who saw me was super dismissive, didn't listen to a thing I said, said she didn't hear wheezing when she listened to my lungs even tho I could clearly hear it myself and said that it was probably allergies, prescribes me claritin. I go to a different hospital a week later because I started coughing up blood and was *not* feeling better because it wasn't allergies. It's acute bronchitis. I'll give 2 stars because the other folks who helped me were great, but that nurse really ruined it all. I'm never going back to UCHealth after that. To be dismissed so easily even tho I was worried and it felt like an emergency because breathing issues. I mean, need to breathe to live, right?
