What a beautiful lighthouse! This place is so peaceful to visit! The drive to get out here was stunning! We were camping not to far away and wanted to head out for the drive. This lighthouse was open for us to climb the stairs. There was no fee, or place to put a donation, but we climbed up to the top to see the views. The beach in this area is rocky, and they did have a few picnic areas if you wanted to come out here to enjoy lunch.

This is a peaceful place to visit. It's a bit of a drive through a winding and narrow dirt road. The lighthouse is abandoned and not in use. You can however, climb to the top! It's not terribly tall and is an easy climb. There are some bathrooms here, picnic tables, and some beautiful scenery. There is a good amount of water frontage. Great for families and a good place to rest a bit and enjoy the view. Check this place out if you get a chance.

Nice place for a picnic. Outhouses. Beach is pebbles or zebra mussel shells. Hiking trail, but lots of poison ivy, so stay on the trail!

A remote destination site, but one that is well worth the trip. The Point offers a park with some picnic tables, on-site grills, a beach area (everything is swim at your own risk), some public pit restrooms, and the historic Peninsula Point Lighthouse. This Lighthouse is no longer in use for maritime services, but it is open to the public for viewing. Visitors are also able to climb the spiral staircase inside the Lighthouse to get to the top viewing area.

18 miles off Hwy 2, it is a non working lighthouse that is open so you can go to the top. Nice view, restrooms, neat beach rocks with fossilized shells in them!

Went to see the Monarc Butterfly migration. The area was well taken care of with great views and areas to rest or picknick.

It was a neat trip to see this light house. The road getting in is a one lane with pull offs to let oncoming traffic pass by. It was very peaceful and quiet when we arrived.

Very narrow road but a pretty road to lighthouse. There is a small spot to park an rv or trailer and walk back. Also several pull off areas for passing. You can walk up lighthouse and go out on deck.

Definitely off the beaten path, but worth it. The circular parking area is very small, but the park itself is nice, has picnic tables and pit toilets. Very beautiful and serene. The lighthouse is gorgeous. Beware though, after the pavement ends the road is gravel and a bit rough with a few potholes here and there.

A pristine lighthouse way out on the peninsula. We were in a 35 foot RV and the road was dirt and gravel by the end. We parked in a turnout near the lighthouse just 15 minutes walk from the lighthouse. We probably could have made it all the way back but there were trees close to the road so we didn't chance it. If you have a smaller rig you should make it back with no problems. The road ends with a circle turn around so it would be easy to get back out too. I got some really nice photos and saw some monarch butterflies which this place is famous for. Highly recommended.

Another lighthouse on a peninsula. Another great ride with natural beauty everywhere. Don't miss it if you're near it.

Brings back many years of visiting my best friends in Stonington and almost always visiting the lighthouse.

Interesting spot with the remains of an old Lighthouse and excellent views of Lake Michigan and Green Bay. The last few hundred feet are one way gravel, be prepared to back up.

Really amazing spot if you come at the right time. Awesome lighthouse. Always open as there's no door. Cool monarch migration in the late summer/early fall. Bathrooms.

Hidden Gem!! Loved to drive down the winding road. Very neat and well kept grounds around the lighthouse, unfortunately there a lot of scratches on the tower and metal surfaces- the structure is very sound and picturesque.

This one is definitely what one would call remote. But we’re on a mission to see all of the Michigan lighthouses viewable from land! Long drive down the peninsula to this abandoned lighthouse tower. What’s cool about this one is you can still climb up it! My kids LOVED playing on the stairs and peeking out the windows. Great view from the top! Quiet little park to enjoy lunch!
