It's a nice restaurant. I am from Kolkata and went to Murshidabad to visit Hazarduari and other historical places. And then come to know Heshel is owned by Arijit Singh's father. So visited there, and I was seriously happy. He provides lunch for students only at 40 rupees. We ordered Pulao and chicken and the food was also good.

Very good place with very good service. We ordered chicken thali. Exactly home-made food, very light in taste. In the thali, we received daal, soybean curry, Malabar spinach curry or we can say puisak r ghonto, vegetables fry , chicken curry and chutney..Good food..

I heard about this restaurant from my friends. I was informed that this restaurant belongs to Arijit Singh which is absolutely true. Taken together the feeling of sitting at the restaurant of Arijit Singh and having delicious food was awesome. The quality of the food at cheaper price is mind blowing 👌👌

About the Restaurant: A well-known family dine-in takeout restaurant in a small urban town like Jiaganj. This place is extremely popular in the town and nearby area. Some people say that this eatery is owned by the famous playback singer Arijit Singh but can’t confirm on this claim. Though he is originated from this city. Location and reachability: 1st floor (not reachable using wheelchair), located in a busy market area, easily reachable, most e-Rikshaw knows the route to this place. Amenities Available: separate washroom / comfort room for gents and ladies. Adds to positive. Hygiene: The Restaurant was clean, no bugs nor any foul smells. The washrooms are average to average+ clean. Adds to positive. The staff was not wearing any mask and no thermal screening was done during entry, which is expected during covid time. Ambiance and sitting arrangement: The place decorated with style lighting and curtains, the interior is impressive. The furniture is good and the eatery is spacious. The AC was not working and felt suffocating. On complaining, the person on the cash counter mentioned some electricity load issue, totally not convincing for a place running over few years. Fan was working. Service quality: went there with high hope but was disappointed with the service. Few points to mention:  Water glass was not served, provided only to the requesting person, not to all guests.  Has to ask for spoon and fork, no serving spoon / apparatus was provided along with the dishes.  No table mats.  The waiter took the plates away without asking.  No normal cold water. Food quantity and quality: We were pack of four and ordered – Chicken Malai Kabab: decoration nice, quantity less than expected, The chicken was cold inside, watery outside. Garlick Nan: particularly good taste, well cooked, portion was sufficient. Heshel Special Chicken: particularly good taste, portion was less. Chicken Biryani: Not at all good, the biryani was more felt like pulao with chicken curry hidden at the bottom of the handi. The chicken was again cold inside. No raita or gravy provided. My local friends accompanied claimed to have excellent biryani in the past. Masala Kulcha (take out): particularly good taste, well cooked, portion was sufficient. Kahai Paneer (take out): particularly good taste, portion was good. Price: price is moderate, but quantity and quality need restaurant owner’s review. Overall experience / remarks: My not so good experience did shock some local friends who visited this place earlier with good experience and recommended me. I visited evening before Holi, may be a bad time to visit because the restaurant was closing for next two days. May be that is the reason the experience was poor. May visit again during prime hours – hoping to improve my experience, till then 2 stars. Disclaimer: This review is based on personal experience and feeling, others may find/feel differently.

Experience was wow. This is a famous place in murshidabad. Well known as d living legend arijit singh's resturent. Ambience is very good and tasteful. Staffs are very polite and the food items are just yummy and so delicious. Very reasonable price with great taste. If you are in murshidabad, then must visit this place. Highly recommended

It used to be a good restaurant couple of years back.....but at present the taste of food deteriorated so badly and the price is increased so much....u pay more price for bad food. And never ever order biriyani from here..... it's no where close to biriyani.....and who serves egg curry in biriyani!!! It's taste is awful.....just seems like u r eating rice mixed with egg curry..... it's not biriyani.....and the price is also increased so much..... 1-2 years back the restaurant could have been given 4 🌟 .....as far as the present status is concerned..... I'll give 1.5 🌟. And those who don't know.....yes it's owned by Arijit Singh as far as we local people know.

Good food...fresh and tasty

Biriyani rice is small in size. Mutton quality was good but smaller in size. Taste is not encouraging to visit again. Mutton handi taste was good. Ambience is homely. Price reasonable. Service is good.

For Jiaganj this hotel is the best. Don't compare with Kolkata restaurants and this restaurant. foods are good. Main thing this hotel owner is ARIJIT SINGH's DAD. So, Family Restaurant. Full Paisa Wasool...

I've been visiting Heshel from so long but today they give me stale food the aloo of the biryani was hard to eat the rice was liquidity called the servant but he said everyone is enjoying it's just us complaining about the food..this might my last time visiting Heshel .

Food quality is slightly on the average side.. but the ambiance of the restaurant is great and the staffs are very polite.. service 10/10.. food 8/10..

It is a good restaurant. The owner is the father of singer Arjit Singh. Food is served in metal plates. Behaviour of the staffs are good. You may visit for an experience. Parking is a problem.

Here we had fried_rice, chilli chicken, chicken chaap, mutton biryani and soup...we forgot the real taste of all these dishes...mutton was not cooked well...food quality was very bad...service was very poor and Staff and manager behavior is also very bad. "WORST EXPERIENCE"

It's really good for lunch , food quality are very good and best price.

We visited in August 2021. Only kolkata biryani and chiken lollypop was good. Other food items was so bad... Like chiken tandoori, tikken tikka is very bad quality. They served uncooked items. When we ordered butter nun they serve us tandoori roti with butter and said it was nun. It's was too hard and like plastic. Very bad experience. Avoid these types of restaurant who don't know how to cook food

Average place. However in terms of area this joint serves the best food since there is no such restaurants to serve you matchable quality of service.
