We ordered on uber eats - Char Siu roast pork. Got some gravy pork that is 1/2 the amount of pork that you would get anywhere else. $27.80 for that is bit meh. It tastes fine - pork is good. Now for the reason this restaurant is getting a one star rating. My partner placed the order under her name, which I would have been fine with if anyone else asked for a screenshot of the order except the lady behind the counter insisted on saying "you're not (Partners name), I need to see the phone" in a tone that was really unnecessary. So I requested the screenshot and while I was waiting to get it - she decided it would be a good idea to complain about it to her coworker pointing in my direction. As I was leaving I said thank you for nothing in return just a thrown box in my direction while the person in front of me got giggles and a happy welcome. I think I'm just too used to good customer service in this area. Anything like this stands out like a sore thumb to me. Especially in covid I've seen restaurant owners be much kinder than usual. I won't be going back but I hope you get a better experience!

Surprisingly cheap. Meal was delicious. Steak and BB sauce one of the best.

This restaurant should be classified as the worst in Australia in terms of service and customer service. The most rude people you can ever deal with! We have a booking made earlier for 8 PM on Thursday night for a family member birthday celebration and arrived on time but the lady in the reception told us to wait outside as she was cleaning. We did wait for 15 minutes till she informed us that the table is ready. After sitting on the table at 8.15 PM she came to tell us that "8.15 PM is too late to eat as they want to close 9.30" !!!

Absolutely Disgusting! Firstly - Missing Items. Secondly - Tom Yum soup was dish water, no flavour, no heat. The " Special Seafood Rolls" were purely floppy rubbery Seafood sticks from the fish n chip shop. The Fried Rice, had a real funky smell about it, like a sour smell. Only good thing were the friend noodles! Rang to complain...however it's " take it up with Uber!"

Firstly, the lady at the desk is probably the rudest person i have ever met! Picked up our order, half of it was missing and the other half was not what we asked for and what we did get tasted and looked like it was leftover scraps scraped from plates and just put in a container. We even got our sweet and sour pork in a paper bag. I dont believe the good reviews to be legit i think it must be family members and friends posting good reviews because this place is awful. Not even the dog wanted to eat the scraps hahahaha

Food was ok. Bit bland. Service was appalling. The lady that served us was very rude .(Older Lady) No friendly hello. Asked us to QR code in whilst her mask was under her chin. Threw the menu and plates on the table. Learn some manners and treat your customers with respect. Won't go back.

Best Chinese restaurant in the area. We have been coming here for years and have never been disappointed, whether we dine in or takeaway. Great range of food which is always freshly cooked on the spot. We tried some newly introduced dishes which were delicious. Love the lady at the front desk who is a delight to watch. Keep up the great work Chung San.

This is a fantastic, authentic Chinese restaurant 🍴 The food is great - high quality, affordable, rich, and clean. You'll feel like you've had an experience worth coming back for. The waitstaff's attitude is really good. If you dine in, it feels like coming home. If you get Take a Way, you'll enjoy your food even more. We really like this restaurant and will come back again. And again...

First time customer. Found the food to be not bad however won’t return due to the extremely rude lady at the front desk. She was having a conversation with someone else at the same time she took my order then blamed it on me when I arrived to find order incorrect. She then snatched the complimentary prawn crackers from the counter as if to say, now you’re not getting these. Nice way to treat a first time customer spending $80. Good luck. Never returning.

I was in a mood for Chinese food earlier and went on a 10mins drive to get here. I love the Nasi Goreng rice paired with their homemade chilli sauce. Every spoon of it made me reminisce my nice vacation in Malaysia few yrs ago. ❤️ I didnt like the spring rolls though as I was expecting the usual minced pork and the chinese sausage were too oily and a bit salty. I will eat the noodles later that I took home. The front store lady was nice and accomodating.

Best Chinese food I have had in many years, very tasty and so much better then majority of the Chinese restaurants who seem to just make the same dish and call it whatever you order. Friendly staff and great value for money. Now my favourite place for Chinese food.

Have eaten at this Restaurant for many years. Last week 4 of us went for Dinner there. 2 of us shared Sweet/Sour Pork, meat was tough/grissily & only vegetables were lots of onion & some capsicum. Was very disappointing & Special Fried Rice was not as per usual. 2 Friends had Prawn/Chicken Chow Mein. Presentation did not look good, huge topped with not the usual Noodles, underneath partly cooked Veggies & little Prawns or Chicken in either Dish. Unfortunately we have decided not to visit this restaurant again which is disappointing after many years of good standard of food.

Have been buying from them over 30years ,never had a bad meal till now ,meal was a Satay chicken and cashews ,,,NO CASHEWS, basically got a meal with cabbage and celery hardly any chicken and was watery and oily, change of management? Change of chefs?? Prices up !quality down, will be in no hurry to go back !

The food is excellent and the selection is vast! The dishes have good servings of meat in them and are not loaded with common cheap vegetables. Put your big boy/girl pants on tho as the service can be a bit abrupt but it’s part of the experience in my opinion 😂

Absolutely love this place - the food is amazing and love the vibe of the little restaurant. We have eaten in, picked up takeaway and had it delivered and the food has always been delicious. Highly recommend!

The food is always good and tasty. Prices are reasonable. They could do with some updating inside the restaurant but we wouldn't buy Chinese food anywhere else from this area. Very delicious.

It's always hot and tasty. Customer service could be a bit better, but food makes up for it. Quick service even when busy

One of the last great Authentic Chinese/Malaysian Restaurants in Melbourne. It's been around for over 20 years. Our night was great, the food amazing tastes, so much flavour, service was let down because the one only waitress/hostess/ Cashier was absolutely swamped. I wanted to help her. Phone orders, Uber food pickups, customers waiting to order, or pickup were out of control. We got a container to take home the excess, will always go back dor a feed there, it's worth the wait.

I always rate a Chinese place by it's fried rice and dim Sims. Sadly this place had rubbish both times. I won't visit again. That's all i can say!!

terrible taste and packaging when ordered on doordash. part of the package was fully missing so the food wasn't sealed and let alone the sealing, it's tasted so bad that I felt sick for few hours after eating!! first time I eat such honey chicken, my friend also tried and hated it. even the plain rice tasted disgusting. I'll never buy food from them again and don't recommend it.

Consistent great food. We normally order honey chicken, special fried rice, Singapore noodles, spring rolls and more and always impressed. We get takeaway and it's ready on time. Friendly service.

Went there for the first time and the Nasi Goreng was literally so good! It was spicy and so flavourful. The Kung Pao Chicken was so tender and saucy and just pure goodness. Everything we ordered was really great and the waiting time was very short considering we ordered quite amount of food. Staff was very accomodating, asking us if there’s anything we need AND they truly cater to your wants and needs. 100/10. Would definitely come back again. Super Recommend to anyone who loves Chinese and Malaysian Food!!!
