We visited mid-week a couple times while camping at the nearby State Park. The bar is nicely decorated, with knotty pine and limestone giving it a woodsy, lodge feel. Note: they take cash or checks-- no credit cards. They do have an ATM though. The burgers are very thick and very tasty. We had the mushroom Swiss burger twice. I also tried the tenderloin (it was also a good sandwich, but if you are really, really into tenderloins drive up to the bar in St. Olafs, where they are the house specialty). Dundee Bar has daily specials, they have pizza, and have a popular fish fry on Fridays. The staff was fantastic--outgoing, friendly, and checked on us regularly. The bar was clean, has nice seating, and also has an outdoor patio. Some of the other customers looked like locals/regulars and were friendly-- the bar had a welcoming atmosphere. I'll happily return anytime we are in the area.

Food was excellent and the only reason service received a 4 was because we sat for 10 minutes before a server came to our table. This is not a big deal for us since we could see the servers were busy.

My girl and I ate there on our way home from backbone State Park, cool little place with decent food can't beat small town Iowa.

The pizza was amazing. The staff extremely friendly. Can't beat the prices. Highly recommend!

A nice bar and grill. Had a Friday fish dinner, not quite like in Wisconsin, but very good for Iowa 😎😉

Me and my wife were in area and decided to try this place. Glad we did. Food was absolutely delicicious and our server(Cindi) was so courteous and friendly. Will definately be back again. Darren & Tiffany
