My recent experience at Shatsangi Adventure Camping in Shnongpdeng was nothing short of a nightmare. The staff's rude behavior, and didn’t want us to give camp on 1700 rs, and attempts to discourage nearby camps from helping us forced us to relocate to Dawki. Staff guy is Massar. The camping facilities were in a deplorable state, and the lack of organization among the staff was glaringly evident. What's even more disheartening is that when we attempted to address these issues with the owner owner name is Pyndyap, they too displayed a lack of willingness to listen or resolve our concerns. Their indifference and unwillingness to address our grievances added to the frustration and disappointment we felt throughout our stay. Owner Pundyap also supported this rude behaviour of Massar. I want to let everyone know these people are working for only money and don’t care about anyone feeling or experience. This experience was, without a doubt, one of the worst camping experiences I've ever had. The staff, including the owner, showed a complete lack of professionalism and courtesy, making us feel unwelcome from the outset. They not only failed to provide the campsite we had reserved but actively hindered us from finding alternative accommodations, leaving us in an uncomfortable and unsafe predicament. I implore anyone considering a camping trip in Shnongpdeng to steer clear of Shatsangi Adventure Camping. My experience was a far cry from enjoyable, and I don't want others to endure the same ordeal we did. The staff's unprofessionalism, coupled with an unresponsive owner, made for an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience.

A beautiful camping site right by the river managed by Massar and his brother. The site can be reached by crossing the bridge. The tents are extremely clean. The area has multiple sinks and common bathrooms/toilets which are well maintained. Very good home cooked food is served and bonfire arranged at night. Since the location is right by the river there is beautiful view always. Massar is an extremely friendly and helpful guy and arranged all the water activities for us and even took brilliant pictures during our boating. A must stay if you are in Shnongpdeng.

Great place for camping near the serene waters of Umngot river at Shnongpdeng. Very ideal for a stay with your own spouse and kids. A visit during the winters is a must to experience sitting by the bonfire at night. Lunch and dinner is arranged for you and breakfast is complimentary. Highly recommend for those who have yet to experience Dawki!

The night stay and the tent and the adventure activities next morning was our most memorable part of Assam-Meghalaya trip. The courtesy, warmth & hospitality shown by the organizer, Mr.Massar, made the trip truly memorable, right from receiving us even before the parking, more than a km away from the parking location, till dropping us back at the parking. This included helping us with our luggage across the bridge in the dark; serving us a yummy full-coarse meal in the night and fresh breakfast in the morning; accompanying us upstream, etc. Some other positives: 1. The location of the tent on this side of the river provides a relief from the crowd on the other side 2. Dedicated permanent bathroom enclosures are a big plus 3. Few steps lead to a serene spot on the bank of the Umngot river, right under the bridge 4. Good quality tents with clean bedding This will be the place I'd go to the next time I go as there are no negatives I can think of!! :)

Such a nice experience! The people operating it are so friendly and professional. Massar was an amazing host. They take care of you from the start and don't give any reasons to complain. You get to experience hospitality in its true and raw form. The Umngot River is very beautiful and magical- it's a great experience to try camping and other adventure sports on it.

Simply amazing experience with the local people in the serene environment of dawki and beautiful homestay. Food for veg people is a bit basic but still fine. Went with family. Safe experience.

Had a wonderful 1 night stay in their camp. Massar and his brother were very hospitable. They kept checking in on us to ensure that we are comfortable. The food served to us was very good and they served a wide variety of them in the vegetarian option as well. Massar took us boating down the lake in the morning and even took us on a little trek from where the view was AMAZING! He even patiently guided through Cliff Jumping which was something we were looking forward to try in Dawki! This is a small camping site but the courteousness and the hospitality of the staff made the stay very beautiful! Waking up right next to Umngot River in the river definitely makes it all the more worth it!!
