This place always delivers outstanding burgers and today was no exception. I chose the triple cheese burger which was oozing with cheese. The bun holds the burgers well and you don't end up with a soggy bun either. Poutine was Christmas themed and delicious enough for two to share or a meal on its own. A white hot chocolate biscoff was up there as the best hot chocolate drunk. The staff friendly and the place is done out well a nice decor. 10/10 well recommended 👌

Easily one of the best cafés I have ever been to. I only went to get a latte after a long run around Backbarrow but I will easily be back again in the future. The staff are polite and curtious and ensured my safety at all times regarding COVID. The staff were so nice in fact that they even forgot to charge me for my coffee and I had to remind them that I hadn't paid yet. Can't recommend it enough but please be sure to order through their app and select a time to pick up. I didn't realise this until I was at the Bakehouse itself but they still managed to make room for me to get a great coffee. The range of cakes, burgers and other foods is wide ranging and surely has something to suit everyones tastes. Looking forward to going back there again. Thank you for a great experience.

We went a few times and it was too busy to get in. Possibly more because it was hard term. Better to go first thing and you should be fine. The coffee was nice, and mains were good, but deserts were a little disappointing. Carrot cake needed a layer of icing etc in the middle of the cake as it was just one big lump and felt a bit like it was missing something, and the raspberry slice was dense and we ended up leaving it. Staff seemed pleasant

Had a sausage sarnie in the potato bun - highly recommend! Also got myself a souvenir. The cinnamon bun is a little dry… but the apple cronut and other baked goods are to die for!

The most amazing atmosphere. A buzzing cafe with great a ambience and fantastic staff. Oh, and the coffee and food, well everything we had and watched others devour were absolutely delicious. We met a lady who visits 3 times a week... a brilliant recommendation in itself. So glad we now only live 6 miles away 😊

I was taken to Bakehouse Born and Bread by my friend Jo. She lives in the neighbouring village and recommended it for breakfast on Saturday morning after parkrun. From the outside the place is somewhat nondescript, but inside it looks really inviting. There are tables of different sizes, and sofas in front of a wood burning stove. The queuing system seemed to confuse a lot of people (go left and queue along the wall to wait for a table, or go right and queue to the counter to order) but it all seemed to work out in the end. The menu is really inviting. I had the Brekky Bun with mushroom (there’s a bacon and sausage version too) which was really tasty, although if I order it again I’ll be asking to have it on sourdough toast as the potato bun was a little too sweet for my taste. To drink I had an oat milk latte, which was very good. The counter at the front was full of really inviting sweet and savoury treats. It was so difficult to pick just two! I think I’ll have to return to sample the rest! Highly recommended.

Always worth the wait! The food is so good! Great coffee too. Staff always do their best with great service even in the busy periods both when sitting in to eat and takeaway. If only I lived closer.

This place is consistently the best flavours in food I’ve possibly ever eaten in the UK. The menu is creative and regularly updated. The decor is a bit Shoreditch circa 2014, kind of safe hipster. But it kinda works. The no frills service is easy - just order at the counter. The coffee is … ok. Not the best barista. But all of that fades into the background once you’re tucking into the best food.

Our first visit last Sunday - the best breakfast we have had in years!! I was rendered almost speechless, amazing. Everything cooked to perfection, the Hash Browns were amazing! I asked for a couple of items to be left off as I don't like them and they replaced them with extras - extra sausage, extra bacon, extra hash brown and extra egg!! I can't recommend enough! I can't wait for our next visit First Class

Ate here for breakfast with my partner on the recommendation of our AirBnB host and I’m so glad we visited! The staff were so friendly & welcoming and the breakfast was incredible. Really interesting and varied menu, beautifully presented and generous portions! What more could you ask for!?

Breakfast was okay, the beans are an acquired taste, the bacon was burnt to a crisp but still tasted OK. Black pudding was spot on and so we're the sausage patties. Had to pay £1.50 each for an extra piece of bacon, egg and sausage. Not sure why it was so much extra but it is the first time I have ever paid £35 for two breakfasts. I know the cost of living has risen, but £1.50 extra for an egg is a bit of a joke. Also the orange was a small glass with ice cubes in it. So half the glass was ice and the rest was a slash of orange which was still warm when I came to drink it. To Summarise, Your food is excessively expensive and drinks should always be served cold if you're paying a premium. They shouldn't have ice in the glass unless requested by the customer.

Constantly impressed by this establishment, I had the Salt Beef Bagel today and it was amazing. Coffee was great and took bit of carrot cake home which was excellent. Always great friendly service and never disappoints. Can’t recommend enough.

We came here for brunch, on the way to the lakes. Lovely and comfortable interior. Very friendly staff and service. Ordered coffees and a couple of vegetarian dishes from the menu....wow, just amazing! Certainly did not expect how delicious these would be....cannot recommend this place highly enough. A must visit for all!

All I can say is I didn't want my Eggs Bene to end! Delicious. Best I've ever had. It is a small, but perfectly formed dining area so be prepared to wait a bit or get your timings right! You will NOT be disappointed.

First time here, taken by family members who are regular customers. Very good breakfast: I'd chosen Eggs Beni and others chose hash browns... Both pictured below. Recommended.

What a extremely cosy little place this was to find. It is somewhat hidden away but that makes it all the more worth it. Turned up with 5 people to have breakfast. Ordered a Sausage and Egg bap which was divine with their fresh sour dough bread along with a mighty fine Latte. Service was extremely pleasant, staff where ever so helpful and didn't even wait that long for our food. Hightly recommend paying a visit 5/5
