Beautiful resort! We switched to this resort from Saratoga Springs since we extended our trip. The video online really gave a great idea of what the resort looked like and included. We loved our room, very clean and updated. We got a room with the fireworks view of magic kingdom and it was amazing! My only complaint about that was below our balcony was the back of the resort and very busy/noisy during the day and views of trash cans. The dining options were good, staff very friendly, pool was amazing, great proximity to all the parks since we drove there. We will definitely stay here again!

In love with this deluxe resort . We stayed here twice - once in a standard room and another time with another set of friends in the cabins . The proximity to magic kingdom is unmatched - simply taking a scenic boat route and not having to deal with complex monorail lines was a plus . Bus system very easy and frequent to all destinations. If you can splurge or find a good deal I cannot stop raving about the beautiful cabins !!!!! Coming back to a villa with a hot tub after a long park day is priceless . It felt like our little remote home in the middle of Disney with a scenic view and tranquility. True luxury all the rooms are up to date with comfortable beds and little touch of pixie dust . 10/10

What can I say about Wilderness Lodge that hasn't already been said by thousands of happy guests?! My family and I visited in February 2024. This resort is a *resort* in every sense of the word. The location is supreme, with views that reach out to Magic Kingdom (close enough to see and hear the fireworks each night). The close proximity to MK also means convenient boat rides to and from the park. All in all, the resort itself feels like being a guest in one large home, with plenty of fireplaces and cozy indoor and outdoor seating on nearly each level. The outdoor grounds are just beaming with beauty, from the geyser, to the waterfalls. All of the dining locations are fantastic (I've tried them all!) and Roaring Fork is never crowded. I could spend a day exploring this resort and feel like a precious vacation day didn't go to waste! Five out of five stars, easily!

A great place to stay when visiting Disney!! The room was spacious with many quality amenities. The shower included a double head with a rainfall top. The beds were very comfortable and gave us a great nights sleep after long days of walking the parks and standing in lines. There are two pool areas both with hot tubs, plus a splash pad for the kids. The Whispering Canyon Restaurant was a riot, the servers are sassy and fun and make it a show in itself, and they even had a plant based all you care to eat option, but make sure you make reservations as they fill up quickly! The nature view room really made waking up easy with beautiful sunrise views. There's even a boat that takes you to Magic Kingdom, making it easy to go there or jump onto the monorail for other parks. The decor is perfect and makes you really feel like you're in a lodge in the Rocky Mountain area.

Nice place for families. The food is plentiful so go hungry! 26 dollars all you can eat breakfast! Love the ambience and very close to the parks. Busses run well. Taking 20 to 30 minutes to get to and from the parks! I enjoyed it very much!

We had a king-size bed with a courtyard view. The bed was super comfortable and had lots of storage underneath. Had a giant screen, coffee making facilities and a lovely shower. Newly refurbished and really nice. Views over the courtyard and the pool. They had lots of activities to do and a couple of restaurant options on site. There is also a geezer that erupts on the hour every hour at the back of the hotel. This is our first Disney hotel experience and we’ve loved it here. On a Thursday at Epcot centre we were able to come back for a rest in the shower in the afternoon before going back at it later on.

We got a lucky and got a “decent” rate for the weekend. Always wanted to try this resort out. Neither of us were disappointed. Like how quiet is when you’re walking around away the resort. The pool and geyser restaurant can get a bit crowded, but other than that it felt nice and quaint. When we were waiting for the boat to head to Magic Kingdom, the sunset on Bay Lake was beautiful. Our only negative so far was when we came in the afternoon the male cast member working the security booth was really rude. Had another encounter with him, and he was just as rude. Other than that, the cast members were really wonderful. The girl in the lobby doing caricatures was sweet and did a wonderful job. They have a lot of delicious food options (restaurants) available and the pools weren’t too overcrowded. Wonder if our room just got a renovation, cause it was clean and looked really nice for just a standard room. Would definitely recommend and return.

Absolutely gorgeous! Spacious, warm fireplaces in the winter, comfortable and the staff is beyond magnificent! Bathrooms are well stocked and clean. The ceilings are so high! I love the totem poles! Plus, this is where Artists Point restaurant dining with Snow White is and that is an amazing experience of itself. I love resort hopping Don't miss out on this lodge!

We really enjoyed our time at Wilderness Lodge. We had a 2 bedroom "villa" that was perfect for the 2 families to share. Lots of privacy for each group and a wonderful kitchen/living area in between. Very clean and welcoming. Also the kitchen was well-stocked with the equipment we needed.

This was the best room we have ever stayed on property. Our family has stayed at most resorts at Disney World. This was by far the best room and our greatest experience at any resort. The Whispering Canyon Restaurant is great, the Storybook character restaurant was one of the best Disney offers. The hotel staff was superb. If I had to find something to not say was 100%, was the quick service at Roaring Fork while having nothing wrong, was not on par with the rest of the experience. Highly recommend this hotel.

This was our first visit to Disney World. The lodge is wonderful- it’s welcoming, warm, great service, nice pool, convenient, wonderful staff- my only criticism is that the food is terrible. We tried breakfast, lunch and dinner and it was such poor quality. I would not recommend eating anywhere within this hotel. It would be great if the food was good because the hotel is so nice we didn’t want to leave to eat elsewhere. The skillets at Whispering canyon were loaded with butter and salt. The chicken sandwich at Geyser bar was rubbery. The grab and go breakfast was terrible bacon and eggs. I don’t understand why Disney can’t get this right and offer good quality food with these hotel prices. Service was amazing but as far as food, I want my money back!

We loved our stay here last week. It is a gorgeous hotel and we loved the food. We ate at the quick service and the whispering canyon cafe. The boat service to MK is amazing. The pool was so relaxing and had the coolest design and a great splash area for kids. We did have an issue with noise very early in the morning but they did an amazing job making it right. We will absolutely be back.

Another fantastic Disney Hotel option. The service is friendly and extremely helpful. The amenities are fantastic! The pools are lovely and the theme is done very well. We even had Disney characters walk through the lobby during our stay. I also recommend the restaurants here, they were very good. The room we stayed in was great. We had 4 adults and there were 2 queen beds and a pull out which makes it an affordable way to do Disney. Be aware that the only way to get to the parks from this hotel is to take the Disney buses or drive.

Terrific resort. Loved the rooms. Beds were comfortable, rooms well appointed. Pools were nice, not the biggest or best at Disney, but still excellent. Shops were decent. Geyser Point bar and grill is excellent, can see Magic Kingdom fireworks from there. Staff was friendly. Everything closes by 11.

My family and I enjoyed this hotel. It has a beautiful design to make you feel like you are at a national park lodge. The rooms were clean and comfortable...not huge but spacious enough for a family of 4 which included 2 teenagers. We had a standard room and we were able to see the fireworks from Magic Kingdom. All of the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. The resort is close to Magic Kingdom, only a short boat or bus ride away.

We ate at the Whispering Canyon Cafe'. Olivia "Olive Oil" was our server. She was excellent. Very witty, and knew her menu. She made our meal fun. The NY Strip with whiskey butter was one of the best steaks I have eaten in my life. I used to work on Palm Beach Island in some of the finest restaurants, and the steak I had was just as good as anything Palm Beach has to offer. I would highly recommend eating at Whispering Canyon Cafe. It gets a little "rowdy" if someone needs Ketchup or there is a birthday, but it's a fun experience for any age.

We had the pleasure of staying at the lodge and felt right at home being from Colorado. Our first day we met the best cast member (Alejandro bellhop series) He was so amazing to our family check that out Amazon order was in the cooler and made sure all of our bags where going to our room. He was the first person we met coming on to the Disney property and felt like we just got home! The room was great and the people at the out door bar and grill are amazing! If you want more from your Disney vacation then stay there! It’s not just a room to stay and sleep, it’s an exercise that will keep you comfortable and entertained throughout your trip! Thank you!

Wilderness Lodge is a great place to stay. We had a two room suite. The rooms are a little dated but super clean and comfortable. Every staff member we interacted with was helpful and friendly. They do a nice job including activities for kids to do something different. We did the Mickey tie dye, s'mores making, and movie night. They've got several pools and a great splash pad on site. Great bars and restaurants in the resort too. Would highly recommend!

This is possibly my favorite of all the different Disney resort areas. It is massive, beautiful, and in contact with nature in a way that is difficult to describe. Being a Disney resort, I expected some level of vague sterility but instead what I felt once I went in there was a log cabin made impossibly massive. A roaring fire, two restaurants, and breathtaking sites is everything you need to know to experience a truly wonderful place to rest between visits to Disney world.

What a beautiful property! Love the rustic "cabin" feel of the property. Christmas time is gorgeous here, definitely check it out . The food options are also on point. Roaring Forks quick service offers something for everyone and Whispering Canyon is a fun way to dine!

The Lodge is a truly magical experience during the holidays. There is plenty of treats and decorations adorning the lobby which makes you really get into the holiday spirit. While fully booked up, the lodge somehow never feels crowded or busy. My family of 4 enjoyed the one bedroom Villa , which provided ample space to unwind at the end of the day. The Wilderness lodge will not disappoint!!

This resort is a mix of DVC villas and standard rooms. I was able to stay in a deluxe room and the experience was pretty good. The room itself was adequate, but not as nice as other similar tier Disney resorts. If you're after the wilderness vibe, they definitely nail that quite well. The amenities were pretty standard and nothing in particular there stood out. The location is classified as a Magic Kingdom resort, but it only has boat access to the park, so don't expect the monorail. For any other locations, you'll need to take a bus. We also were able to have club access during our stay as well. The club lounge is actually at the top floor looking over the main lobby of the resort. The lounge can be a little noisy with all the people and activity below, but there are a fair amount of tables and seating. The highlight of lounge access was being able to watch Magic Kingdom fireworks from the lounge balcony since it is one of the only places you can see the fireworks from anywhere in the resort.

If you ever get the opportunity to stay here, do it! Very clean. Very comfortable. Great pool, and several options where to eat right on the premises PLUS you can just hop a bus or a boat to the Disney theme parks for free! I highly recommend The Wilderness Lodge to anyone that loves nature and is going to vacation at Walt Disney World. The rustic looking decor is outstanding. This place gets a 10 from me.

Disney's Wilderness Lodge is our new favorite! The resort itself is beautiful, peaceful, and has plenty of amenities & options for food & fun. The pools were a lot of fun even for our 2 teenagers, the grounds are stunning, and certain rooms can even see the very top of the train station at the entrance to Magic Kingdom. The staff was a huge help to us with an issue we encountered. We will definitely stay here again!

We stayed at the Boulder Ridge Villas, which were great for our family. They are getting a little worn, but really clean and family friendly. 5 min walk to the lodge for transportation. 2 pool areas that are really nice and the restaurants were really yummy. I liked it better than the more basic locations (I stayed at Pop before), and a really good option if you want the Disney experience.

This is probably the best resort we’ve experienced on Disney property, both for the quirky Whispering Canyon restaurant and also for the lodging and convenience. The pool is great for kiddos, with a splash pad and 2 smallish hot tubs. The rooms are updated and quiet, with convenient transportation to Magic Kingdom by boat and only 1 bus stop to make your way to any of the other parks. We would highly recommend this for those looking in this price range.

I loved the wilderness lodge. The decor and hotel are great. My only complaint is for the money that you pay you would expect it to be better then a moderate resort. The hot tub jets barely worked when turned on and the food options at roaring fork could definitely be better. The theme and the hotel itself was breath taking being close to magic kingdom was awesome as well. I think overall for quality and price I would prefer port orleans riverside.

For the most part the stay at Boulder Ridge was very good. The only slight down side was the room. The connecting room didn't have a means to leave the door open so it seemed to cut us off from our son. Also, the master suite shower was the smallest I've had to date.

Great place to stay for families. Service is prompt and super friendly, as expected from Disney. Our room with two queen beds was very nice and clean. The lodge has a great pool, hot tubs, full service restaurant and quick service eatery. The dock and ferry service provides quick service to Magic Kingdom. Fireworks from Magic Kingdom can be seen from the dock and music from the same Magic Kingdom show is played over speakers so you still feel like you're part of the show, however distant. Bus service to other parks was also prompt.

This is my favorite place on Disney property. The architecture of the Lodge and grounds along with the nostalgia this place has you get the feeling that you are a good deal away from everything but in all actuality, you are just minutes from all the excitement. A quick boat or bus ride and you literally have all of the Magic of Disney at your disposal. The pools are amazing, the rooms are quiet and the food is wonderful at Geyser point or Whispering Canyon. After a day in the parks, feel free to welcome yourself to this oasis! You will be glad you did. I know I am!

We had reservations for lunch here and decided to check out the lodge and its grounds. This is one of Disney's best luxury hotels at Disney World. It's theme is exactly what its name implies, a high-end lodge in the Wilderness. We visited at Christmastime and the decorations were spectacular. There are fireplaces (with gas fires) around the public areas of the lodge that give a warm comfortable vibe. The unexpected surprise on our visit was the children's arts and crafts activity our 6 year old took part in out by the pool in a small building. He enjoyed the craft he selected and took home a nice souvenir for a small price. Each craft had a different cost based on the material needed for that project.

Very beautiful decor, running trail outside, and good location. The room was cute but nothing spectacular. The service was the concerning factor. I made reservations for one night far ahead in time. The day of, it wasn’t ready at 3. We had to wait fifty minutes past 3 to get our room. The hotel is too expensive to not get the full time to enjoy it. I understand the holidays is a very busy time, but that needs to be accounted for and dealt with before issues like these pop up. Was very upsetting. Overall very good hotel, but be prepared to wait.

This was my first visit to the Wilderness Lodge and I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it! The lodge was beautiful and very clean. The room at the Copper Creek Villas was modern and comfortable. The couch was comfortable in the room and we felt at home quickly. We had a fantastic meal at the Whispering Canyon Cafe and were well taken care of by Wendy. The food and service were a great experience!

Had dinner at Artist Point which is located inside the Lodge. The food is fabulous! They do starters to share, which means if you have four people at the table there are four of each of the starters placed on a darling little revolving tree at your table. This is also done with the desserts to share. There is one of each dessert offered placed on the little revolving tree table so that each person of your dinner party can try more than one dessert. There are enough desserts so that every person can try each kind of dessert offered. The service is top notch and if you are waiting to have your photo taken with The Queen, you will be given an invitation when it is your turn. This is also a Character experience. The main room of the lodge is very beautiful inside and very rustic. There is handicapped entrance for every area in the lodge including dining and bathrooms. This is a great place for families.

Just got back today from staying here for the first time! We stayed a week and it was simply fantastic! We experienced the Snow White Dinner , had dinner at Whispering Cannon as well as enjoyed Geyser point and Roaring Forks. Our Room was so great as well as time spent at the main pool! The entire Resort is breath taking and so relaxed and calm. Excatly what you want at the end of a Disney Day! We can’t wait to come back and hope to stay in a Cabin next time!!

loved my short visit to this resort. gorgeous location and wonderful architecture. rooms are amazing and comfortable. lots of good food. removed a star because there have been several occasions in which a bus to this resort has appeared as opposed to other busses. very unfortunate so my only constructive feedback would be to decrease the bus fleet that runs to this resort.

  • 5/5 Matt B. 1 year ago on Google
Great spot to stay at on Disney property. Between the busses and the boat you can get anywhere you need to be in a reasonable amount of time. The layout of the resort is great, rooms are wonderful and the amenities are top notch. I also enjoy the quiet nature of the lodge it seems less noisy than the rest of the resorts.
