Oh my gosh. Last night in DC area we were tired and just wanted to head back to the hotel. It was raining and we walked here. We were expecting Chinese. We were not expecting some of the best Chinese food either of us had ever had. I got a braised pork on some sort of homemade bread as an appetizer. Really tasty. But the two entrees were beyond compare. My travel partner got a cold noodle dish. Truly unique and amazing per them. I got D1b Hot Oil Seared Noodles with knife cut noodles. It was the best Chinese dish I have ever had. Never had anything that tasted like this.

I've read about this place for years, and after finally going there, I have to say, the hype is justified. It ticks all the right boxes: efficient service and great food. Unique menu with wide range of interesting noodle dishes. Definitely not your run-of-the-mill American Chinese. Also, interesting selection of spicy "skewer" dishes: lamb, chicken, "fish ball," tofu, and potato. The spicy pork dumplings (in a Szechuan type oil sauce) were amazing. Washed it all down with a very refreshing cucumber-pineapple drink, kinda like a mocktail (think Mojito without the alcohol). The menu also features many vegetarian options, for those so inclined. I'm definitely going to be a repeat customer!

One of my favorite Chinese restaurants in DMV. We always find time to come here regularly. We love love their cold noodle dish with beef and pickled cabbage. Their Liang pi and other noodle dishes are amazing. We have not had one bad dish so far. The fruit teas are so delicious also! I always try to bring family who visit DC to this restaurant!

This is one of the few places that I frequent, with the drive from DC. I enjoy all the flavors and the spices. I got the vegetarian option which I thought was amazing and hearty for being just vegetables and noodles. I look forward to trying all of the menu. D 12, the item, is one of my favorites. The vinegar peanuts and the Dan Dan noodles are phenomenal and you should definitely try them. The plum juice was the new thing for me to try and I highly recommend it. The servers were casual and young so you may have to wave them down but the food experience it’s just amazing and I look forward to continuing to dine often.

10/10 Everything here was excellent. The fruit tea was my favorite. It was refreshing and flavorful. I got the Beef noodle soup, the beef was so tender and the noodles were nice and chewy. The customer service was great. I would definitely be back here again.👍 Pictures: Rose Lychee Tea, Specialty Fruit Tea, Beef Noodle Soup, Spicy Pan fried Lamb Noodles

Love love love this restaurant. Below is D11, freshly made noodles simmered with potato and pork rib, the added vinegar is just enough to bring out the fragrance of meat and potato.

I definitely recommend the lamb skewers and potato salad:) Recently they hired new servers, and the entire atmosphere has improved. Thank you for the great service!

Not your average "Chinese" restaurant. Fantastic food, reasonable prices, good service. Don't go there expecting the same foods you'd find at a random carryout place, or Panda Express. Northwest Chinese serves a wide array of noodles, and soups mixed with a cornucopia of vegetable and meat options. My only complaint, is the entrée I ordered had a 🌶 icon next to it. I was expecting it to be spicy, and it really wasn't even mildly spicy. That being said, I still loved the dish. One of the best food options in CP hands down.

Real deal Chinese food at a great price. Fresh noodles, savory sauces, and an extensive menu. This place did not disappoint. If you're in College Park and haven't been here, you need to go check it out. But don't expect to figure out what's in these dishes. You probably don't want to know, and it's delicious, so don't wreck it! 😋

Best authentic Chinese food in the area. This is not your cheap Americanized General Tso's Chicken, but flavorful authentic chili oil works of art. Pretty much every noodle dish is a winner. The coveted Liangpi sells out on a daily basis. The Yangji Style Cold Broth Noodle is a close second. If you want to try real Chinese food, come here

They charged excessively. While the food is decent, the ingredients don't seem very fresh (e.g., lamb), and the portions of meat are very limited. The noodles, priced at $20, seem unreasonably high. It feels like they are pricing as if they're in Manhattan.

Wonderful Chinese cuisine. Really enjoyed their spicy beef noodle soup and Chinese burger. One of the best Asian flavour I experienced in the US.

Cute little restaurant near campus. So many menu options to choose from! We ended up getting the spicy cumin chicken mo, lamb soup, sesame sauce rolled noodles, eggplant potato noodles, and hot oil minced pork noodles. Everything was delicious, but for me the standout was the chicken mo. Absolutely delicious! All the dishes were flavorful and unique and tasted like nothing I have ever had before. Good prices too

This is my go-to Chinese spot in the area. I think it's one of the best authentic Chinese food you can get in College Park. I usually get their lamb noodle soup (D9) and it's great. The food can be a lil pricey but they also give you a big portion. Personally, I think the dine-in portions are slightly bigger than take-out but I typically get take-out regardless. Solid spot for great food. You'll probably have to park across the street since there's no street parking nearby.

Best chinese food around. All rice noodle dishes typical of the cuisine the head chef grew up on in China. Just pick any dish and i promise you will be pleasantly surprised. the burgers are amazing and so are the peanuts and the cold potato salad.

Most authentic Chinese cuisine I've had in the US. Walls are well decorated with magazine and newspaper reviews and awards. Looks unassuming along college park main street (route 1 balt Ave) but the tastes and smells inside are worth ducking in. Main menu, specials, and assortment of teas and other drinks. Easy in and out, with lots of appetizers and light plates along with traditional entrees. But if you're looking for standard American Chinese takeout fare (gen zaos, kung Pao, etc) this ain't the place.

Hot oil seared noodles are chewy, spicy, just about perfect. Dan dan noodles were a bit underwhelming. Spice was right, noodles were a bit limp. Service was great. Fast. Hot. Easy in and out.

I’m torn about this place. See, my family loves noodles, especially my 15 month old. If you want to experience authentic dishes from the northwest regions of China, look no further. If you want family-friendly servers, you may have to get lucky. I have difficulty recommending this place for this very reason. This is the only restaurant we’ve been to that doesn’t have high chairs for young children. But far beyond that fact, our server was incredibly unfriendly and almost never made eye contact with us and seemed to not want to respond when we made requests. The few times he did, my wife and I felt both felt undeniably unwelcome. My wife felt so uncomfortable that she wanted to rush out immediately after paying…as if the place is actively discouraging young families to dine there. I plan to call the manager and request they address this issue.

Everything I got was so good my favorite were the Dan Dan noodles they have a great level of heat, the peanuts add good texture, the minced pork in it is delicious. The dumplings with hot oil are bomb. The lamb skewers were good but too dry for my liking. Overall the flavor and spice level is amazing!

Beef noodle soup, peanuts, and Liangpi. For take out. My second time here for a while. They have remodeled the inside. The food is always decent and flavorful. I like the soup base of beef noodle soup but the beef was a bit dry and there was very little veggies in it. Liangpi was tasty. The peanuts in vinegary sauce was a great snack to go with a beer if you want. The service was great and quick. The place looked very clean and was busy even after lunch time.

Stopped by this place on a whim and glad I did. Ordered the spicy beef and stewed pork mo, as well as two orders of red oil sesame dumpling. The flavor, the bread and the dumpling fillings were amazing. I wish the sandwiches were bigger and that we could have the option to pan fry the dumplings. However, I definitely plan to come back to try to noodle dishes and other sandwich options

I’m so happy this place is close enough for us to visit often. I’ve tried a good portion of the menu and everything has been fantastic. The food is very high quality and made well. My favorites are the pan fried noodles in an egg pancake, the summer special cold liang pi/round noodles with peanut sauce, and the cumin lamb flatbread or skewers. I also love that they have a portable card reader so you can pop your card in, tip, and be on your way right when you ask for the bill. We always leave happy.

Tasting the authentic "roujiamo" (Chinese hamburger) in a foreign land brings rare joy, making me feel as if I've returned to my hometown, savoring the delight of indulging in delicious cuisine.
