I think this is now my favourite place to go with the family. I went here yesterday with my family and what a lovely day out we had. We got the Cremyll Ferry over which my children absolutely loved. Once over there we paid to get in which was very reasonable and then entered some of the best scenery I have seen in years. We went through the gardens and had a lovely coffee & ice cream at the café and walked around these lovely grounds. Due to being with children and the large size of the place meant we didn't get to see the whole grounds but we will absolutely be back at the earliest opportunity. Great family day out, can't wait to come back.

What a magnificent garden only a quick ferry ride from Plymouth. Well worth the small cost of the ferry and despite having spent a few hours here, I doubt I’ve discovered all of its wonders. A perfect day out if staying in Plymouth!

Lovely day out, lots to see and nice pub right on the front over looking the water. Beautiful gardens to walk around, there is a little stoney beach where you can sit and have picnics.

What a beautiful corner of the world. We came over on the Cremyll ferry to Mount Edgecombe. We had a wonderful surprise of there being a green man festival going on which was brilliant. Lots of stalls, entertainers and some delicious food. The grounds and house are magnificent, the views from the top of the mount by the ruined folly across the harbour are breathtaking. A most wonderful day.

Mount Edgcumbe House and Gardens has a glamping experience! The shepards huts.. Great views over the estuary, with that quiet escape experience. Two huts are in the same location.. Enough separation to make it "yours". Toilets and a designated shower are a small walk up the hill.. It's a walk down the hill to the local St Austell Brewery pub for food if required. Breakfast can also be obtained from the on site farriers cafe. A nice couple of days were had...( Car show was a bonus).

Lovely place for a walk. Lots of space and great views of plymouth. House was shut, but grounds are always open. Lots of parking areas paid £4 all day. Cafe was expensive, but guess to be expected. Paid £22 for coffee, coke, scone and sandwich!

Please keep dogs on leads. Fantastic views from the deer park and the end of February seems to be the time to explore the camellia trail.

Outstanding views across to Plymouth and the RN dockyards. Wonderful woodland walks with both natural and exotic plants. We were impressed with the many activities organised, the Frisbee course is a must for families and groups but beware it is a real challenge! The Orangery is a delightful area and cakes supplied in the Stable cafe are a must. The park was preparing for the 'Green Man' event hence the photos I have attached. All in all a wonderful excursion, easily accessible from the Stonehouse ferry which runs regularly at very affordable prices.

Was there as a trader for my mobile bookshop (circle time in partnership with usborne) and loved the park. Very beautiful setting. The house looks gorgeous from the outside too.

I was amazed by the beauty! The house and its gardens deserve a walk. I loved the shell cave (inside the gardens) but the coastal path just next to it is incredible! There is also so much history. The house was rebuilt as it was very damaged during World War II. Also, I found it lovely and pretty magical to arrive by ferry from Admiral Hard, in Stonehouse. When arriving, the first thing I visited were the Orangerie gardens to the left side and then I continued the walk til I got to Mount Edgcumbe House! Can’t wait to return with family and friends ❤️ I am in love with this border of Devon and Cornwall!

Amazing place for a weekend visit on a nice day. Beautiful greenery and plenty of architecture and private botanical gardens to look at on a leisurely walk.

Mount Edgcumbe has the all important WOW factor! Take the guided tour of the house - it is fabulous. So much to see in amazing light filled rooms. A long and rich history, incredible art, spectacular furnishings and so much more revealed by our eloquent guide. The grounds are a magnificent playground for families, dog walkers and hikers alike. Refreshments at the Orangery before heading back to car. A perfect outing at a very special place.

What an amazing place to visit. Great day out! The walks and views, proper gem just around the corner from Plymouth. I would definitely recommend this place.

Second visit here. This time with someone with mobility issues. Disabled car park, whilst closer than main one , still required a walk uphill to the house and the stable block where the cafe is. Food in cafe was excellent as last time.

Beautiful place for a wedding venue. It works really well. Overnight accommodation for wedding party, a courtyard that services drinks and food for guests and the groom to arrive and wait, the house for the ceremony (with a fabulous staircase), gardens for photos and drinks, then a golf buggy down to the amazing orangery for the meal, speeches and evening party. All with sea views and a ferry to Plymouth for guests to come and go. Perfect!

Mount Edgecombe park, has the most beautiful walks, all are fairly easy to do, we did the deer park circle mainly to take in the stunning views. Dogs must be kept on a lead, due to livestock grazing. There is now pay and display parking, which isn't expensive, and it's worth it for the view over to Plymouth and Drakes island. The Edgecombe arms has now closed, but you can still get a coffee from the cafe down on the river.

Tour guide very informative. Learned a lot about the house and period. Dogs allowed everywhere but the house itself. House has a lovely garden and is definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area!

Large gardens to walk around and some Great views of Plymouth too. House was shut on the day we visited but have been before and it is a great day out.

Went to the American Carshow at Mount Edgecombe. Absolutely loved it. Loved spending time with friends and family looking at the classic cars and looking around the grounds. Plan on revisiting soon to look at the Country house and the gardens more. They regularly have great events and would recommend.

This was a nice place to visit, I arrived early and just wanted somewhere local to go from Plymouth, I drove here and parked for £4, you can also get a little boat to here from Plymouth, there is a cafe and a few little shops in a little complex, and a short walk away there is Edgecumbe pub which I think needs booking as it gets busy, You can make the day here as long as you want it, you can do longer walks go on the beach in the sea.

It was recommended to us by a local during our recent holiday. We were really impressed by the grounds, facilities, numerous walks and the fact it was all FREE!

Open green space. Ideal for families, individuals, dog walkers and countryside lovers to explore. Camellias always a wonderful sight. No charge to walk throughout the parkland. Nice cafe and snack shops to hand.

Simply one of my favourite places to be when I'm in Cornwall (having lived there for over 30 years previously) So many walks and you can literally spend all day here and have plenty to eat (or simply take a picnic) and meet family and friends. Such a great day out!!!
