We
held
our
daughter’s
wedding
at
Joubertsdal
over
the
weekend
7th
to
9th
March.
The
venue
is
beautiful
but
unfortunately
when
it
came
to
the
nitty
gritty
on
the
day,
Joubertsdal
is
lacking.
It
is
important
to
get
the
function
right
not
just
have
a
beautiful
place
to
get
married
in.
While
the
food
was
excellent,
the
plates
were
not
cleared
and
we
had
to
request
that
the
staff
clear
the
plates.
This
after
everyone
sat
with
dirty
dishes
in
front
of
them
throughout
the
speeches.
The
bubbly
was
not
opened
for
the
speeches
and
staff
had
to
scramble
to
do
this
on
request
leaving
some
guests
to
do
the
opening
of
bottles
themselves.
This
was
supposed
to
be
overseen
by
Petro,
the
wedding
coordinator.
The
wedding
co-ordinator,
Petro,
who
came
at
an
added
cost
for
the
evening,
was
dressed
in
dungarees,
a
T-shirt
and
tackies.
Our
wedding
dress
code
was
a
formal
black
tie
wedding
so
she
looked
unprofessional
and
out
of
place
from
the
get
go.
She
diddnt
communicate
with
us
at
all
and
was
difficult
to
find
when
things
went
wrong.
She
took
the
brides
bouquet
without
telling
anyone
and
put
it
in
water
at
the
back
of
the
kitchen
where
no
one
would
think
to
look.
This
led
to
a
mad
scramble
for
photos
as
no-one
knew
where
it
was.
Her
attitude
was
unfriendly
and
unapproachable
the
entire
night.
Like
she
didn’t
want
to
be
there.
She
was
a
waste
of
money
and
the
evening
only
ran
smoothly
because
we
put
out
the
fires
that
she
should
have
been
on
top
of.
Coordinators
also
usually
pack
a
small
amount
of
food
from
the
canapé
table
for
the
bride
and
groom
while
photos
are
being
taken.
She
did
not
bother
with
this.
To
top
it
all,
a
very
important
gift
went
missing
on
the
Friday
evening
during
rehearsals.
Not
once
through
any
of
the
conversations
with
her
was
she
interested
or
helpful
in
assisting
us
in
finding
the
missing
gift.
She
still
hasn’t
bothered
to
follow
up.
The
gift
is
still
missing.
Petro
is
unfortunately
the
face
of
Joubertsdal
for
weddings
and
her
lack
of
professionalism
leaves
one
feeling
frustrated
at
a
time
when
one
should
be
rejoicing
and
not
worrying
about
the
duties
a
wedding
coordinator
is
paid
to
worry
about.
With
so
many
beautiful
venues
around,
it’s
really
the
professionalism
and
attention
to
detail
that
sets
the
venues
apart.
Joubertsdal
would
do
well
to
look
into
this
if
they
want
to
stand
out
amidst
other
venues
with
similar
on
offer.
I
personally
wouldn’t
suggest
Joubertsdal
after
our
experience.
Weddings
are
expensive.
You
need
to
be
sure
you
are
getting
what
you
pay
for.
