My Husband and I had our yearly check ups last week our second time with this dentist after moving to Calne 18 months ago. We were warmly greeted by Alex who gave us good advice without pushing us into any thing beyond our means. We have booked our next check up for Aug next year.

The care and empathy all staff provide is excellent. From the moment the receptionist greets patients to treatment from the amazing Alex who is not only exceptionally professional but has such a wonderful personality. Alex with Chelsea alongside him make patients feel so at ease. The team are also fantastic with younger patients, including one of my children who needs SEN support and reassurance. This surgery and team is outstanding 👏

Have been scared of the dentist my whole life. Really can’t fault this place, the lady on the front desk is friendly and helpful and Alex & his nurse are so great. Alex has been so patient with me while I gather up my nerves! Would absolutely recommend this surgery! Thank you all for looking after an extremely nervous patient!

Disappointed with the appointment system. My appointments have been cancelled and postponed numerous times. However, the dentist is good. Hygienist costs £50 up front, although once you do get to your appointment, is good.

All the dentists at this practice are very friendly and professional. I was able to see Alex at very short notice as I had cracked on of my teeth which left a very sharp edge and was cutting into my tongue. I phoned at 10.15am and just TWO HOURS LATER, Alex sorted out my problem. Even the receptionist was very good by organising the appointment and phoning me back. WELL DONE GUYS!!!

Edit to respond to business reply. This review is for Mydentist in Calne. Unfortunately, I've personally not had the greatest experience here. The dentist I saw didn't correctly apply a filling and had the soft filling floating in my mouth 1 hour later. I had 4 fillings fall out in the space of 24 hours. I was told by the dentist that this was because 'my teeth lacked capacity to hold fillings'. Subsequent fillings have held in the exact same place and so I think it may have been more to do with the fact that they weren't done properly rather than my teeth. I am in a position where I'm also receiving UC after having fallen ill and I have help with health costs (it's not something I particularly like and I don't want to be in this situation). The dentist pointed out on my first visit that I don't pay and said "I am lucky" that I don't pay. This made me incredibly embarrassed. I have so little money that if I were to pay for appointments, it would be around 15% of my total monthly income, a band C treatment would be my entire monthly pay. This certainly doesn't feel "lucky". I leave feeling like my treatment has been rushed and done to a poor standard because of my current financial position. The positive thing is that you can get appointments very quickly if you have an issue which is great, but when the treatment provided doesn't actually solve issues, this doesn't feel great. I think if you are a paying customer then you will have a lot better quality service. Unfortunately though, I feel it's been the poorest dental work I've had in my lifetime and I now feel nervous to see the dentist.

Aneta is lovely. Always friendly and happy to talk through any queries I may have and provide me with any further information I request. The team are great with my young daughter, making her feel at ease during her check ups. Always a straight forward process on appointments. Never a long wait. Thank you.
