😠 Absolutely shocking customer service by the receptionist today! I called up and was waiting in first position for a while, I understand they are busy). However, what I don’t understand is, the receptionist picking up the phone and putting it straight down. I then had to call up and wait again in 5th... Absolutely shocking customer service by the receptionist today! I called up and was waiting in first position for a while, I understand they are busy). However, what I don’t understand is, the receptionist picking up the phone and putting it straight down. I then had to call up and wait again in 5th position. When I addressed this to the receptionist, she ignored the matter. I had to say hello to make sure someone was still there? She said yes. No apology nothing. She was actually very abrupt the whole way through the phone call. Not even a good bye. I’ve been a receptionist myself in the past, and never would I ever dream of taking to a customer like that, let alone a patient!!! Shame on the surgery as the rest of the staff are lovely. I do hope you find out who this staff member was, an older sounding lady who didn’t give her name, just hung up quickly at the end. The call was at 16:15 on 2nd March. Let’s the team down, and she definitely not suitable to be working with the public. Maybe put her in a position that doesn’t deal with patients!

The information on opening times is unreliable, totally wrong today for 27th December ( not open with no indication of this fact on web site) and as others say the service is based on stereotypes of group need rather than individual consultation or holistic proscribing at least for diabetes. The staff are all kind and nice but this is an over mechanised system and hence that doesn't help.

Terrible customer service, as others have picked up on. You go in to make a follow-up appointment for my 89 year old nana and you would think you were asking for the world. Excuses like it needs to be authorised by doctor, could take 2 to 3 weeks and you have to phone on the day. Even though we were told by A&E doctor to make a follow-up appointment to get her results and further tests. I have 8 years experience in customer service and wouldn't dream of speaking to someone like I was spoken to. The lady described as short grey hair with glasses should be sent on further training. You would think knowing my Nana's age you would go the extra mile, leave a note to doctor or write in on the board to phone her in morning to see if there's an appointment available etc. I should have to tell her what the extra miles about, it's her job. Disgusting behaviour!!!!

If you have a medical problem. Might as well crawl in a hole somewhere and wait to die. They'll happily take the £5000 a year you pay in national insurance though. Shift worker working nights. Had to drop 2 shifts costing me £300 so far this week due to pain and said I need an appointment for some way stronger pain cream. Told I would have to ring up at 0800am to play appointment lottery. I'm a HGV driver working nights, and they expect me to stay up between shifts to 'maybe' get an appointment? This potentially puts the public at risk. I either do this, or wait 4 weeks for an appointment. Seriously, terrible staff. The entire NHS is a joke, if I could stop paying for it I would in a heartbeat. In fact, I'd work to get a refund.

An excellent experience today with friendly, professional and effective reception staff, and a personalised and compassionate approach from Dr. Wood. Many thanks for a great service during trying times.

After a week of strong back pain i went to a physio. After bending forward and backward i was given 2 printed pages of excercises and was told that one week of pain is not long and when i come back in 2 weeks for my leg appointment i can mention is the back better or not. Cant work, cant sit, cant sleep, non of those excercises help.

Called trying to get an appointment with a GP 3 days in a row only to be in a que 20-30 minutes plus just to be told there's non available but I can be booked into the overflow at bishop auckland. Friday used the e-consultation. Received a call that afternoon and told a GP will call by 18:30 Monday. Now 20:00 and no call. They don't seem too bothered that it is regards to an urgent referal my daughter needs that must be made by a GP.

i know from past experience how hard it is to get an appt, needed one again recently only for dr harding giving a pre-recorded speech about options available. Option 1 was appts, no luck there, last option was" hold and wait for an operator, "no luck there either, just 3 quick beeps then cut off, good to see my national insurance contributions being wisely spent.

Can’t fault the staff at all. Obviously some people have had a bad experience with this surgery, but personally my family and I can’t complain about anything. Dr. Wood is Dr. Wood, excellent, always. Had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Tang today, he too, is top notch. Thanks to all at North house.

Never had anything good to say about this surgery since moving there! Never have any appointments available even when calling 8am on a morning like you’re told to do so. No communication between the reception and the doctors at all. Nothing is URGENT to them and you just get passed off on the phone. Called multiple times over 2 days and still no further forward with an urgent request! Very unreliable! If I could rate lower I would do so!
