Not just a place to buy some plants, the choice is far and wide: A huge selection of varied stock from cards to Garden Seating offered with Pride. The view is certainly Beautiful on a fine and Sunny Day, With a comfortable Restaurant to satisfy hunger or while some time away. All Staff are more than helpful, off-times, rushed off their feet; We have visited over many years and applaud there Expansion Feat!

This place is so very lovely. Garden centre yes, but so very much.more. The grounds are beyond beautiful, so very peaceful in parts, it even caters for children, theres even a trail for them to hunt and follow outside in the lovely grounds of the centre ( trail map available inside) if you bring them along that you can all enjoy. The restaurant is lovely, food (very varied menu with a lot of choice and options, everything from a tea/coffee to a delicious lunch, and even an afternoon tea option, and if you look out of the window you can see the cows that belong to garms nearby grazing on the land just up the hill. Oh have to add here also they have a wood fired stone pizza oven and gorgeous seating area all on its own outside separate and away from the restaurant, plus other lovely little spots in the ground where you can just sit outside and enjoy the surroundings. The gift shop is fabulous, such lovely items for sale with such an amazing choice, and also in there is a small foodhall selling the most delicious home made cakes, pies, jams, chutneys and a wealth of sweet treat confectionary. My first visit was today, and if I hadnt had other things I needed to do today I would have stayed the whole afternoon. Oh and one more thing to add - its dog friendly so you can take your fur baby with you, and that goes for the restaurant also. If you have never been before go on give it a go, I promise you wont be dissappointed. Having discovered I will for sure be going back.

Lovely Gem of a place ! My new go to place to visit and eat👏 Found via Facebook mainly because it’s dog friendly 🐶 which is a massive plus for us as we can’t leave our pup Jasper. Restaurant is more than just a garden centre restaurant and surpassed my expectations due to comfort, decor, efficient and attentive staff who made us feel very welcomed with our pup. Thought Jasper might end up going home with the manageress😀 it’s was a pleasure chatting to you , you run a great ship ! Staff were prompt and the food was gorgeous, catering for intolerances too , must say compliments to the chef , we ate hot beef roll and cheese scone , plus doggy sausage for Jasper from the doggy menu 👏👏 he wolfed them down too 🐶🐶 This place has an abundance of gifting , and I will defo be buying some Christmas gifts here ! Also take away food ( which we did ) There is plants and other attractions all wheelchair friendly. Big car park and parking right outside the door if need be. See you soon 🙂🐶

A little bit of a drive to get too but was worth it . I hadn't read up much about I and only wanted to visit aquarium section as my son loves fish but wow its a great little place with a cafe (tad expensive) and very busy . It has take away which was much better priced and good menu with some lovely cake and coffee yum . If all that wasn't good enough it has a full blown mini zoo at the back which didn't cost too much and a huge play area for kids which I'm sure my boy will love when he is bigger 😯 Would 100% recommend as a full day out for family's .

A really lovely garden centre! The staff were all friendly and there was plenty of stock from plant pots to garden ornaments etc. They also have a fab aquatic shop, cafe&take away and an animal walk through with loads of different types of unique animals. 100% worth a visit if you are in the area!

Used the cafe and shop. The shop was crowded, cramped and loud. The cafe has an attractive interior with beautiful murals and play space for kids, although it was hectic, loud and unclean, especially for being not so busy. The sound system was too loud and bad sound quality causing us stress. They didn't clean the table very well, there was a carpet of food all over the floor around and under our table. I didn't drink my £3.something lemonade because the glass was dirty with lip marks and cloudy. This was taken off the bill. Expensive for two jacket potatoes, slice of cake and coffee. Staff seemed over busy and distracted from customers and their specific needs - they tried showing us to our table but walked too fast and I was unsure which way they went to find our table to which they then cleaned it in a hurry leaving food under the table, which also had a ratten edge which collected tons of food and dirt and no attempt at cleaning it. The chairs were grubby and not sanitised and there was food and sweets amongst the cushions.

Superb cafe with great ambience and wide range of delicious dishes. Plants are healthy and well cared for. Nice range of gift items in the shop and the deli items looked delicious. The outside ice cream stall was popular. Tastefully decorated toilets. Lovely garden rooms to walk round for inspiration, just across the car park.

Visit with Santa making an 81 years old lady dream come true. I cannot thank Lanchester garden centre and Santa of course, enough for the kindness they showed when this lovely lady who truly believes in Santa and who had never had a visit with him ever before, made her wish come true. Not only did they make her feel special on the day, they gave her two beautiful gifts that she will treasure for the rest of her days. It was an emotional day for all concerned but truly a day she will never forget. Thank you.

We haven't been in ages and it's huge! The ice cream is amazing, didn't try the cafe as it was busy, £4 to get into the mini zoo which has all sorts in it. Killed 2 hours and could have stayed longer if we didn't have plans.

We visited the zoo and cafe and had a lovely time. The animals appear well taken care of and the staff are friendly. £4 per person entry fee is very fair for the amount on offer. There is also indoor and outdoor play areas for children. The cafe is reasonably priced with a good selection of food. Coffee is average.

What an amazing place this is! As well as being a great garden centre it has a lovely restaurant selling delicious food, including high teas. Plus it has a brilliant herpetarium, with George, the giant tortoise, free to roam around, exotic snakes and many more. And even more exciting, so my granddaughter thought, was cuddling the guinea pigs. The herpetarium cost £4 each to get in, for over 5's but well worth it.

Lovely place to visit. There are the usual garden elements you can expect from any garden centre but there is also an aviary and various reptiles and fish to see, too. Don't go on a hot day as no air con in the indoor sections and it was stifling. There is also an art gallery but this was closed the weekend that I visited so cannot comment on that. Staff very nice and happy to help. There is a gift shop with lots to choose from and beyond that is a restaurant. For us this was only 'okay' as for one thing the chair cushion was covered in bits of food and the table had A LOT of crumbs and food and just general dirt stuck underneath the glass top (inbetween where it attaches to the wicker base). Unfortunately I think this is a design flaw and is probably difficult to clean but it doesn't give a great initial impression. Food itself was ok - I had soup of the day which was leek (not blended well and more of a big lump of shredded leek in a bit of liquid) the tuna bun was nice, though. One thing I was very happy with was the fact they have a feeding room which has 2 seats, a table between, a sink and a changing station. I was able to happily change and feed my baby in here without interruption which was great. Overall recommend, worth a trip!

Halloween kids party was tremendous. Can't speak highly enough of the staff and the entertainers, the whole set up was perfect for the bairn and she had such a good time! My food was also excellent, I'll 100% be back and can't be soon enough

This is one of the best garden centres I've been to. Beautiful garden furniture, ornaments and plants. Lots of Christmas goodies in the shop. Great for kids with a big play area and a wildlife attraction. Well worth a visit. Lovely restaurant there too.

Great place for a few hours out. We enjoyed our Sunday dinner at the restaurant, then had a walk around Potters World where my daughter (and myself!) loved to see all the animals up close! We purchased some bits for our fish tank and a few trinkets in the gift shop (and a lovely slice of cake to bring home!) Followed by a walk around the garden and duck pond. Great day out 😊

We have visited few times and kids always love it. We love to see the animals and the play area (inside/outside) is fantastic. The garden looks beautiful. And in the shop you can always fund some lovely treasure :)

First time visiting! Excellent! Very friendly staff, both in the gift shop and restaurant. The gift shop had a great range of products, including seasonal products. Lunch was superb. We had the Greenhouse Burger and fries and the pie, chips, with mushy peas. Both meals were of the highest quality with local ingredients and tasted home made. For dessert, we opted for a slice of raspberry ripple cake and a slice of sticky toffee cake! Huge, but very delicious and naughty! We had a great trip out and well worth the drive though beautiful countryside. Looking forward to returning soon.

Fell in love with this garden centre ❤️ Lovely welcoming staff and there's a lot see & do! It's definitely a day trip out or a quick pop by location! 😊 Will certainly be back to the restaurant and to see the animals they have on site! Ohh and they have an ice cream place which looked delicous! DOGS WELCOME except in 'potters world' (live animals) - they have a lot of treats to be had also! Brilliant for the whole family!

Such a beautiful place! I came to Lancaster Garden Centre for a bit of shopping for my garden. There is a huge selection of plants, trees, flowers, garden furniture, tools, everything you could possibly need! I was having so much fun until I came across the animal hut and I just froze with delight. The setup is just AMAZING. You feel like you are walking through a rain forest with birds flying freely around you and there is a rain system that randomly comes on. My husband and I got a bit wet but it was so worth it! It honestly felt like we were in a tropical country. There are reptiles, ducks, parrots, budgies, fish, beautiful ponds, it is just fantastic to walk around. There is another section dedicated to birds of prey where there are gorgeous owls and talkative cockatoos. I wasn't even aware there are indoor and outdoor play areas for kids! We walked past it all and saw all the children having a whale of a time. After a walk around, we finished our garden shopping, had a walk through the aquatic section and headed for some lunch. The restaurant is very nice! I got an afternoon tea and my husband got fish and chips. The food was so good, it finished the day off perfectly. A member of staff who we kept bumping into and asking for advice for certain plants, care etc. came over to us at the table and asked how we managed with everything. She was super helpful and friendly, it was so nice of her to check up on us before we left and made sure we had everything we needed as we are very novice gardeners now! The staff in all, lovely people, happy to help and all had a smile on their face. The whole experience from start to finish is a 10/10 for me and my husband. We will be back!

Lovely place! Garden centre looked good with plenty of choice for plants, garden ornaments etc. We went into Potters World, which for £4 each was worth every penny. The animals were lovely, lots to look at, then headed into the play tunnel which was great! Shame because of the weather we couldn't go in the outside area, will definitely visit again!

Spent a very nice afternoon here walking round the shop, little zoo, gardens and play area. We had lunch in the green house tea rooms, the food was very nice and the tea rooms had a good atmosphere with children's play area. I thought the food was very good value, and the staff were very pleasant. The gardens are very well maintained with a lovely little bird hid looking over a pond. The garden centre shop is a little bit disorganised and it is very difficult to find what you are looking for but still interesting to walk around. The little zoo / animal part is great. The whole place is very dog and child friendly so worth a visit with the family.

What a lovely place! We travelled a distance to visit here and we were most definitely not let down. A great shop, restaurant and with the bonus of the exotic pets area which was reasonably priced at £4 pp. A visit to a garden centre turned out to be a lovely memorable day out. I loved that they used a buzzer system for the restaurant which allowed us to browse the garden centre as there was quite a lengthy wait. All members of staff who we were in contact with were friendly and helpful My only criticism is that the kids ‘play area’ was a bit of a let down comparing it to the standard of everything else & I thing wish there had been a few more plants, these were also reasonably priced in comparison to my local garden centre. 100% will be returning.

Visited this garden centre two or three times now. Today we bought some fish for our tank - the staff in the aquarium are absolutely brilliant and are knowledgeable and so helpful. Tony (I think) was great today. The tanks are clean and well looked after. The garden centre itself has a good stock of plants and the usual gift type items. There’s also an avery and stuff for kids to do. We went into the cafe which is usually bursting at the seams, but did not stay as it is very pricey. When you can get a bag of Maris pipers for just over £1, I reckon £10.95 for a jacket potato is ridiculous. And £3.75 for a small bottle of Fentimans cola is taking the mick. I know people will pay that but for a garden centre cafe, it’s too much.

The setting is so Idyllic and beautiful. Food was amazing, staff were professional and the menu was good. Food was cooked perfectly for me and good portion. Price is a little expensive though.

Went yesterday for aquarium plants, served by a different guy today, I chose some plants & was abruptly told they are ours & not for sale, (no sign on or anything) So chose some others not as good But all they had, when I opened the bag at home he had given me totally different plants than I'd chosen, I chose 2 big green bushy things & one was just some tiny stick things that looks like a cactus, not happy at all & won't be back! Such a shame really as the other guy was brilliant

Really lovely Such a nice welcoming place. Really well presented. The coffee shop / restaurant area is gorgeous. The staff were lovely and so friendly and helpful. The food was amazing. We had full English breakfast and poached eggs on toast. All quality food. There are loads of gifts and seasonal decorations etc. One of the best garden centres around ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
