The coffee is excellent, best of the three cafe's, probably due to the fact they haven't sold their soul to one of the coffee franchise's and have retained a traditional beast of a machine that enables them to use good quality beans!☕ The fruit scone I had was homemade as was my mother's chocolate caramel slice and both were beautifully presented 🍰 The overall look was slightly dated but frankly.........all I want is pleasant service, a decent cup of coffee and a homemade bun is a bonus👏👍

Nearly 40 minutes wait, (with only one other table taken) in a very cold room with poor service and poor food. Coffee was weak, tea was cold, scone was hard, bacon sandwich was cold and very few prawns in the sandwich. No apology given for our wait and overall one of the worst cafes we have ever visited.

Everything about my experience was fantastic. Homemade food that beats hands down other places I have been. Highly recommend

First time visit today, a little gem. Lovely staff, who I believe are the owners. Good selection, my cheese and red onion scone was yummy and a nice pot of tea. I will definitely return.

This is a teashop at the corner of Sedgefield where I came for lunch with my family, it had a good range of sandwiches, panninies and toasties which all had a side salad and coleslaw, soup of the day and lunch specials and main meals. The cakes where to die for, with many varieties of homemade scones. Lovely atmosphere and friendly service. Will go again.

Polite, friendly staff. Clean, tidy, homely tea room. Home made cakes and scones looked delicious. The tuna melt panin was lovely. Would recommended 👍🏼

Visited here recently with some business colleagues. We only had coffees but these were very nice. The place is cozy with very good service. The owner is friendly and attended yo our needs. Be aware they do not take cards.

We took grandchildren for a breakfast as a treat. Lovely, freshly cooked produce. Full breakfast to die for. Staff very friendly and obliging. Made to feel very welcome .

Really lovely cafe that has a really good choice. Had a coffee that was really nice and a piece of millionaire shortbread that was absolutely banging. Helpful and friendly staff. All in all excellent!

Found this as visiting in the town. Excellent full breakfast, with top quality components; one of the best I've had. Fantastic array of tasty home made cakes and scones. Recommended and will revisit when next in the area.
