Loved our stay here for a recent wedding. Cottage was beautiful and spacious, the beds were comfortable and we had everything we could possibly need. We had fresh eggs from the farm and a home baked cake waiting for us on arrival! Highly recommend.

Lots of big blue bottle flies inside property, in march!!!!! If your on the larger size showers are small. Not the cleanest place I've stayed. Bedrooms could do with a repaint. Says free wifi but you have to buy a dongle, we didnt bother because only there for a weekend. But just in right place if visiting Gateshead/ Newcastle nice and quiet. I found bed was comfortable but husband didn't. 2nd bedroom was ok for my daughter as both bedrooms had En suites. Kitchen was nice and modern, downstairs TV had Netflix but upstairs tv didn't work. Also very small TVs throughout. Unfortunately had to leave 24 hours early but still got charged full price. Overall ok but not fantastic.

We stayed in the Beamish Cottage for two nights. The accommodation was perfect for the two of us & our small lab. It’s in a great location with good access to some lovely walks & Beamish is less than 15 minutes away. We look forward to visiting again

Not our first visit, just keep coming back! Angus and Louise are great hosts both the farmhouse accommodation and the cottages are amazing. Tastefully decorated and modern. Immaculately clean. Shame covid has prevented our farmhouse breakfast but the fresh farm eggs to cook for breakfast and the cake on arrival were lovely.

This was the first time we decided to go for a home stay instead of the usual hotels and I should say it was a great decision. When I walked in our room at the farm, I felt I had walked into the set of Pride and Prejudice. The room was quaint, clean, and neat. The bathroom modern and spotless. Angus, Louise, Isabel, and their cute little doggie were warm and friendly. The yummy cake on the second day was a bonus. The breakfast was delicious and a time for great conversations. Highly recommended!

"Lovely friendly welcome with tea and home-made cake, to end of stay, couldn't have wished for more." We were met by the wonderful Louise who was very helpful. The rooms have lovely antique furniture and a most comfortable bed with fresh clean white cotton bedding.Everything you needed is provided in the room, including the lovely touches of fresh milk and bottled water in the fridge. We were provided with grab rails for the shower and a chair. The breakfasts were fantastic with a good range of choice and cooked breakfasts were done to perfection.Louise and Angus' knowledge of the area was great. Friendliness of Louise and Angus and feeling that nothing was too much trouble. We felt completely at home and relaxed. We really enjoyed the breakfasts including Durham sausage.Chatting with Louise.
