Lovely friendly staff always make us feel welcome. Visit at least once a week. Alexa loves it as do i because shes so happy here.

It's a great pet shop. It's got interesting stock in all areas, birds, small mammals, fish, reptiles, amphibians and insects/spiders. And the pet supplies are very well stocked too. I'm from South Shields and I often make the journey to visit this shop as it's so interesting.

Bought my first tropical fish tank from Pet Mania in Stockton and they have been nothing but helpful. The fish are kept in great condition and well looked after. I wouldn't go anywhere else to buy my fish. Staff know their stuff and are happy to help.

Went here and went on the animal adventure with my 8 year old she loved it.

Great place to go for buying aquarium products and fish! Knowledgeable staff and animals are all kept well looked after. Added Bonus of having an animal attraction there also.

I love this place, it's and fantastic and staff are very friendly. While the aquatic and reptile side were also friendly each visit, and I did ask a lot of questions which I regret, I didn't think things were well "signposted" and things appeared expensive, though I am used to getting things second hand so maybe inflation is what I'm actually shocked at. Anyway, the plants and such weren't labelled from what I saw and the staff answered what I wasn't sure about but felt preoccupied. They were nice, and they were very patient and seemed busy, but it's how I felt-answers felt short and sweet, not elaborating or digressing more info, just fitted the bill if that makes sense. The reptile area as well as the bird cages by the entrance I felt concerned about, but I have to say I get great vibes and understand the place does let the birds out to stretch their wings at the end, snakes and such aren't kept for long in the shop before their next homes and from what I'm told, they do try to help re-home many creatures. Anyway, a parrot was by the entrance and the cages while big, were relatively small; budgy size, I'd say, and parrots need a hell of a lot of entertainment for their unfathomable smart nature so regularly squared loud. The snakes had huuuuge Vivs, but I really don't think they could stretch out in them as is the rule of thumb. This and the bird cages, while ok for the company because it's short term, I'm concerned would encourage or wrongly promote customers to do the same. Tortoises were on a table which was cute, but just as "micro pigs" were once a thing, I really think many people would get these baby tortoises thinking they won't grow much bigger-maybe they won't, but I think they'll grow kind of big and they are specialist creatures of which are often neglected through ignorance or naivity-lettucd diets and lack of UV making bone deformities, causing mobility and digestive Issues...again, I may be wrong in this case but it's still concern because of what's commonly done with pet owners. The shop is still great, knowledgeful faultless staff (other than what I said about questions being answered without elaborating)

This is a brilliant little place to bring the kids to. It's a large pet shop, with all the usual animals but has a fantastic aquatics area and a reptile house. But the best part is the little zoo where the kids can see loads of different animals and feed most of them. There's a petting area where they can stroke and hold anything from a guineapig to a monitor lizard.
