Our first dinner in Laos - a great experience. The restaurant is located on a terrace above the Mekong, overlooking a great view. Very tasty food, lovely staff and a spectacular sunset view. The restaurant belonged to the hotel across the road (we did not stay there)

Best terrace on the Mekong bank. Amazing view for the sunset. Great local Laos traditional food. Must try Luang Brabang beer. Acceptable price. Highly recommend.

Definitely more of a spot where foreigners go. It has a good view of the river, which is really nice to look at in the evening. The lemongrass chicken was especially quite aromatic.

Beautiful place to watch the Amy turning from yellow to orange, red and purple. You cannot fully see the sun going down but still it’s a very nice place to sit. The food was delicious and drinks nicely presented. We liked it a lot. The atmosphere is chilled.

I had a continental breakfast with a superb Bircher Muesli, a croissant, fresh orange juice and lemongrass tea . The view and staff is amazing. Everything was perfect!

Fabulous food, service and view over the Mekong. We had a very kind waiter. Salad bar was delicious and good size portion! I had bacon, chicken, avocado and REAL Parmesan with Caesar dressing. The salad leaves came with local Lao herbs and baguette. Next time I will have croutons instead of carrots. Every ingredient in the salad was fresh and prepared with care and attention, presented beautifully. Free cold drinking water. Highly recommend! 👍👍👍👍👍

Great place to unwind after a busy day visiting around, great friendly staff, very well maintained place, happy hour from 5pm when we were there. The vibe is nice, the view is fantastic. Let's just hope a group of Chinese, just coming to take pics without consuming anything would not bother your peacefulness.

Relaxing place by the Mae Khong with great food and service! The place is very relaxing, seating are by the river bank, with cool breeze from the river. The food is great both Western and local cuisine. The prices is okay. Services are superb! We sat farthest from the bar and service station but the servers regulary come to us to juat ask how's it going.

Wonderful restaurant where you can find a nice river view and delicious thai and laos food. The curry is spot on, good ingredients with nice cooking skill, morning glory is well seasoning too. Highly recommended to visit here and enjoy dinner.

The bartender noticed that I wasn't drinking the wine and asked if there was something wrong. The wine was off, he immediately offered to replace it. Exceptional level of service, a first for me in Laos.

What an amazing restaurant right on the Mekong river. We got there at 5:30, perfect time to watch the sun set and enjoy a drink before the meal. We got the papaya salad green curry and the meat lover platter and everything was really delicious. I would definitely come back again.

Beautiful spot on the Mekong River to enjoy lunch, dinner or sunset drinks! We had a lovely big salad for lunch which was just what we were craving in this heat. The staff are really friendly and the menu has a great selection of Lao and western dishes, plenty of reasons to come back again!!

Perfect place to watch the sunset and if you want to avoid the crowd at Mount Phousi. Fruit shake was just okay, fruit shakes at the night market are way better than this, even without sugar/milk. Their spring rolls is too oily. 3 stars are for the view and cozy place!!!

The terrace is situated just across from the hotel, and the staff here are friendly and helpful. As the weather was hot, they brought some fans around without being asked, and even offered some anti mozzie spray. We had two breakfasts here and enjoyed the views of the Mekong river, as well as the croissants, which were soft and tasty, without being too oily. The tamarind jam was also lovely. We liked the sausages and burcher muesli, but did find the homemade yoghurt to be tasty but a little runny. I prefered the western set, but my wife liked the local fried noodles and fried rice.

This restaurant is part of a hotel (although separated) is beautifully located on the side of the river. Their menu is more Thai oriented but this is common in Laos. Their menu is really great value for money and their staff was lovely.

This place is fine finding on a budget. I got the steamed tilapia and it was perfect! Nice and juicy with a yummy sauce that added a nice flavor and spice. The sunset was nice but you definitely want to get there early or reserve a spot.

Breakfast is included with our hotel stay. I look forwards to eating here cause all of the dishes we had were tasty and the Lao coffee is excellent. The staff are friendly as well.

We stayed here for two nights, eating breakfast and dinner at the restaurant. The food was very tasty and quite reasonably priced. For 25 USD, we had 3 appetizers, one entree, one dessert, two beers and one mixed drink. The sun-dried pork and yellow chicken curry were so good we went back. For breakfast, the stir-fried noodles, fruit plate with banana, pineapple, papaya, mango and dragonfruit were delicious. Highly recommend the mint tea. Can't beat the beautiful view and kind staff.

Very nice terrace restaurant overlooking the Mekong. One star deducted from the otherwise excellent service, because they tried to sell us their guided tours for the following day. But the food was really good, we enjoyed the steamed fish and the Pad Lao (very different from Pad Thai!).

Staff was attentive and the view was worth it. Don’t recommend the beef burger as it was charred and dry but that seems to normal in Laos, other dishes might be better. Didn’t care for the smoking on the deck, had to move.

Really good restaurant with a nice view to watch the sunset. The deep fried fish with spicy sauce is really awesome. Fair prices

View was gorgeous at sunset. That was the best thing about this place! Asian food was good. The beef burger wasn't good, unfortunately. I would recommend for a drink rather than sitting in for dinner based on quality and price.

Simply the best place to unwind and watch the sunset in Luang Prabang. The drinks are wonderful, the menu is extensive and the staff is so polite and accommodating. Not to mention, we had a nice chat with the owner, Damien, and it was a pleasure to learn how the place came to be. Our experience was so good that we went back multiple times. 10/10, highly recommend!

What a great restaurant. All of the Staff are very friendly with great English and service skills. The food is extremely good which had us going back two nights in a row. The deck overlooking the Mekong is a great place to watch the sunset and enjoy a cocktail. The cocktails are amazing and they are strong, there is no half pours here.

Beautiful located and very pleasant. While the food was tasty - but nothing out of this world - the serviceteam (led by the Swiss manager) made the difference: very customer-oriented, communicative, funny and generous.

We came here for breakfast while waiting for our boat tour. We originally went to the hotel to get breakfast but we were directed to the restaurant. Once we got there, they actually wouldn't allow us to sit, saying it was only for hotel guests at that time. We were able to get the hotel staff to clear things up and we were finally seated. The service from staff after that hiccup was excellent, and the food was good as well.

We had not planned to eat at the Belle Rive Terrace Restaurant, but were drawn to it by the music and setting, which were perfect. Waiters and bar staff were friendly and attentive. And drinks and food both delicious. We would definitely recommend to others.

👍 Laid back, good value drinks and lovely setting. It looks over the Nam Khan River, but where you used to be able to take the bamboo bridge across, this has now washed away and you simply call them when you get to the river bank and they send the boat across to fetch you. The happy hour runs from 12...

👍👍 Really outstanding restaurant. First, the food is top-notch. Second, Lao food isn’t super well-known globally, so it is particularly great that they explain the origins of and ingredients in each dish. We got the set menu. The lemongrass stuffed with chicken in particular was one of the best dishes...

👍👍 We were so happy to get a table at this place with probably the best ambience in all of Luang Prabang. The atmosphere and food were amazing and the French owner did a good job to make people feel comfortable. We were especially glad to see the vegetarian dishes, and will recommend the green burger....
