A very nice and relaxing cruise on a two floor boat with sitting areas, resting chairs, hammocks, good relaxing music, a bar and an option to order food. The cruise sets sail at 17:30 (not sure if every day) for 2 hours and costs 100k for an adult and 50k for a child. An interesting point in the cruise is a meeting point of two rivers, each containing water in a different color. Very interesting view. Tip: Some vendors around the place offer private cruises for a similar price, but from the looks of it (I didn't try) the quality of those boats and cruises is much lower.

Unforgettable sunset cruise. For $15 you get a two-hour cruise with a complimentary fruit juice and nuts. The boat is huge and when we did it there were only about ten other people onboard, so we were able to get two of the four very comfortable sun loungers. You can buy drinks and food too and it’s all surprisingly good value. All staff were very friendly and made the experience what it was. Highly recommended.

The sunset cruise fee is 80,000 kip per person. We got an information of the time from 4:30 to 6:00, but they cruise leisurely enough. Actually we got back to our departure point around 6:30pm. It's a bit chilly at night, so you're welcome to bring some cardigan, but the friendly staff provided blankets for us. There is a drink menu, and you can order additional cocktails, beer, wine, soda, etc. (reasonable price) I recommend that you know the information in advance and make a reservation before visiting.

Brilliant way to see the sun go down over Luang Prabang. Prompt departure, brilliant staff, mean cocktails (especially the Old Fashioned!) and a very smooth ride up and down the river in stunning surroundings. At $20pp for two hours on the water, it's a great way to end the day. Recommended.

We did the sunset cruise down the river which was fantastic. It was low tourism season, so it was super chill and relaxing. The crew were really attentive and friendly, and the satay we got was quite good. The boat itself was really cool - I'm not knowledgeable about boats, but this one seems uniquely styled. The sunset itself was incredible!

450000 kip or US$20 per person. Can buy tickets from the hotel at the pier. Music was chill and prices for drinks and small plates were reasonable. Sunset view was nice. Boat is spacious but totally open so it did get quite cold..tho it is December.

Lovely boat and fabulous value sunset Mekong River cruise at around $15.00 each including a welcome fruit drink and nibbles on arrival. There's a good selection of beverages and well prepared food on board and all the staff speak good English. Choose the right evening weather and you'll be blown away by the tranquil scenery and breathless sunset. A well-maintained and spacious river craft.

Memorable sunset cruise on the Mekong. Brand new boat with comfortable sitting and great views. No bad seat in the boat. The sunset views on our perfect afternoon were spectacular. Good selection of drinks and friendly service. A must while in Luang Prabang.

This was 100% hands-down the best thing I did in Laos and I did a lot of great things! A beautiful boat, a tranquil atmosphere, super friendly and accommodating staff who couldn't do enough for you, delicious cocktails and an unreal sunset! The owner was absolutely lovely and I was left pinching myself at the value for money. Don't hesitate, book it immediately!

The staffs are amazingly friendly. The slow boat is really relaxing. And I love the scenary + the music. Got lucky because it was raining in the morning and got the sunset during the cruising. Also got complementary drinks. Btw, I got another complementary drink for my birthday. Gotta return next time! Easy to reserve via the WhatsApp and fast response!

Wow! Wow! Wow! Such a beautiful boat on the mighty Mekong river. There are tables, chairs, barstools, loungers and hammocks on board to make your journey comfortable. We booked our tickets directly online, it is great value for money! The owners and staff were very kind and attentive. Peanuts and a welcome drink are included. Additional snacks and drinks can be bought. We had a 2 hour cruise up and down the river. A real highlight of our trip.

Well worth the 20usd price tag. The snacks on board are delicious and so is the food. Cocktails are average

Wonderful experience all around. You can book online or buy tickets at the hotel across the street. Welcome drink and peanuts included. Beverages were reasonable with friendly staff. I only compared three places, but this one was not only cheaper but enjoyable.

Firstly, I'm not in the business of writing long, gushing reviews, but want to make an exception for this. For context, I originally tried to book this cruise on the Sunday but it wasn't running so the place where I booked suggested another cruise, which was cheaper at 12 dollars instead of 20. When I got to this other cruise, I got on to find there were no seats available and it did not look like a pleasurable way of spending 2 hours so I got off before it left. Luckily for me, I was able to upgrade my ticket and go with Khopfa the next day instead. Although when I went, it was very quiet, from the way it was set up, it looks like even if it was full, there would be lots of space for everyone. The drinks are very affordable given the quality of the boat and the dish I tried (Laos sausage) tasted really good. The staff were friendly and attentive, without being too full on (they seemed to be able to gauge how much interaction each party wanted). The host used my name as I left, which was a lovely touch. Even the toilets were very well maintained and of a high standard! The views from the river were also fantastic. For 20 dollars, this is an absolute bargain...do your self a favour and don't try to save a bit of money on what will be a vastly inferior experience!

(Solo Traveller) A must do when you are in Luang Prabang. And i highly recommend Khopfa because of 3 reasons: 1. Booking is very easy, you can reach them thru whatsapp and you can pay when you board the cruise; 2. The crew are very professional and friendly. From time to time, they will check if you need anything or if you are ok. They provide blanket in a chilly sunset 3. The design of the cruise is better than others (if not the best). It's cozy and classy. It costs $15/person for 2-hr cruise and inclusive of complimentary drink (juice) and peanuts. You can order food&drinks onboard at very reasonable price.

This is the first review that I have ever written, but this experience is one that must be shared. Khopfa is a must-do while in Luang Prabang. It is an experience that can be best described as magical, memorable, gracious….truly a life adventure that should not be missed. The boat is stunning and the service is impeccable. Your only complaint will be that time seems to pass far too quickly while on the Khopfa Mejong Cruise!

It was easy to make an appointment in advance via Khopfa's Facebook page. Start boarding at 4.45pm, boat departs at 5pm, and returns to the same dock at 7pm. The ride is 2 hours long and costs 225,000 kip. This is about SGD22. It includes a welcome drink (fruit juice). Beautiful view of the sunset and the mountains, even when it was hazy outside. Spacious boat with comfortable seating for everyone. Enjoyed life on the boat with the breeze, the sunset, the mountains on both sides. Makes me imagine that I am on the Going Merry 😂👌

A must do in Luang Prabang to see another side of the Mekong riverbanks! Everything is tailored for customers to have a great experience on board: the boat is clean and comfortable, complimentary drinks are offered as soon as the boat departs as well as the cocktails/food menu, the waitress was really caring and professional, the boat is slow enough so you enjoy a great view of the river as the sun goes down. Would do it again anytime!

Very enjoyable sunset cruise on the Mekong river. Entrance fee was 100,000kip and the tour lasted around 2-3 hours. It's very relaxing and the additional drinks offered are delicious and reasonably priced. The owners Benoit and Adrien, and the waitresses are very friendly and try their best to make you feel at ease. And their homemade fries are actually very good, so I recommend you try those.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the Khopfa Cruise in Luang Prabang, and it was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we stepped on board, the attentive and friendly staff made us feel welcome and ensured our comfort throughout the journey. The cruise itself was a mesmerizing journey along the Mekong River, showcasing the breathtaking landscapes of Luang Prabang. The boat was well-maintained, providing a comfortable and enjoyable ride. The highlight was the delicious traditional Lao cuisine served on board. The chef truly outdid themselves with a variety of flavorful dishes, offering a taste of the region's culinary delights. It was a culinary journey that complemented the scenic beauty surrounding us.
