Quite underwhelming experience. The reviews here seem to be high but I had the opposite. I came here with my partner, and the melon shake was bland. It was watery and it had no taste whatsoever. We also had the Four Cheese pizza here (which costed 155000 Kip), but it tasted like cheap cheap mozzarella cheese. Above all, the mango shake and the ham was quite nice, but I don’t think I would ever visit here again.

Amazing Italian food! Both the pizzas and pastas were absolutely delicious and up there with some of the best in Asia we've had. Great atmosphere too and even though we were a little late we could still sit down and finish our meal in our own time. Absolutely recommended if your craving some western food.

Absolutely stunning!!! The owner was so attentive and made sure we all had what we needed including the right about of chilli etc. We had the pepperoni pizza and calzone. Probably the best pizza I've ever had Our friend is vegetarian, they had the gnocchi and she said it tasted great!

Went there two days in a row because we liked it so much. Pizza crust is the excellent balance of crisp and chew, the perfect rise. The pizza sauce phenomenal. We had salami pancetta both spicy and not spicy salami. A very good balance of toppings. We also had the parma ham and it was fantastic. Service by the Italian man and the waitress was excellent and thoughtful even when pretty busy and when not so busy. Overall a must have for pizza lovers in Vientiane.

Best Italian restaurant in Vientiane and the owner is Italian so you know the food is good and authentic. We had the gnocchi and the tagliatelle (homemade) and both were so phenomenal. Staff was all very friendly and there’s a great vibe at the restaurant. We also got the mousse for dessert which was so tasty and light (in a good way) that I almost got another. Owner was very friendly also and made us feel so welcomed. Loved chatting with him. I’ll definitely come back here next time I’m in Vientiane

Honestly the best Pizza/Pasta that I have ever tasted!! We found PDR on our first day in Vientiane and ended up eating there 5 evening in a row + a takeaway! It is owned by an Italian guy, who is very friendly and knows exactly what needs to go in to producing perfect Italian food! He recognised our love for his restaurant and gifted us with a free shot of homemade white chocolate liquor for our loyal custom! However, I’m not sure whether he appreciated our love for pineapple as a choice of topping…. I guess you either love it or hate it. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and I can not recommend this restaurant highly enough! Delicious!

We had been travelling around Asia for 7 weeks when we ate here and I would go as far as to say it was the best food we had had the entire trip! All of the food and drink we had was so delicious and not to mention at an amazing price. The owner/ chef was also really friendly and we greatly enjoyed chatting to him over our meal. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!

Amazing place 🙂. I am hundred percent sure you won’t get such delicious pizza for that price anywhere in the world. Really tasty food with nice service. Definitely my favorite place to eat in Laos 🙂👍 I can only recommend it

The pizza and pasta here is SO good! Authentic Italian food, great service, and everyone is so friendly you also have a great time while you’re there. We had the margarita pizza with buffalo mozzarella and the spaghetti carbonara and I can’t pick a favorite, they were both exceptional. Cannot recommend this place enough, and I know it will be a staple for us going forward!

The pizza is just as good as in Italy and I couldn’t fault it. All the staff are extremely friendly and go out their way to be accommodating.

The best western food we’ve had in Asia (and we’ve been here months now). Amazing Italian chef. Homemade fluffy gnocchi and four cheese pizza. It was absolute perfection.

Nice place and food is good at affordable price! This place is always busy and it's worth waiting for a table, the restaurant is small and it may happen that you are asked to move to another table to accommodate groups of people in larger tables.

Update 2022: Still excellent quality and taste👍 Update 2019: prices changed to 62000kip but still one of the best pizzas i've ever had in my life and for a pizza in Laos its not expensive, especially for this top quality and size What a pizza...wow, just perfect. Had a Pizza Up-to-you for 52000kip, quite a good price for what you get.

This place is legit. I couldn't decide which one to get so the owner Roby picked the salame and blue cheese. Delicious. It's mouth watering goodness from the toppings to the thin crust. It was so good I asked him to pick another pizza The second one Parma did not disappoint. The taste took me back to Italy. It was that good. The house red carafe was tasty as well. We coming back next week. A must when in Vientiane!! Pizza lover delight!

Hands down one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. The restaurant was full and I had to wait a few minutes for a table which was fine, & the staff quickly got a table cleaned up for me to sit down asap. I was impressed by the speed of service (without losing quality) since they were so busy. I think my appetizer arrived within about 10 min and the pizza about 20 which allowed me to enjoy my bruschetta and first glass of wine at a nice relaxed pace. It was perfect after a stressful day dealing with Thai visa application!! The staff were extremely friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The owner came outside for a break when things started to wind down toward the end of the night and had friendly conversation with some customers. Overall the food, service, and atmosphere are top tier.

The service is great! The girls are just amazing. Lovely friendly and very smily :) the beer was very cold (an awesome thing) About the food, unfortunately very very very disappointing - the lasagna was definitely not fresh, also burned… the supermarkets would taste better. The pizza is just miserable, tasteless pale and sad. Anyway, base on the reviews do not believe with the everything shown there.

Small and cozy real Italian restaurant run by Roby, an Italian living in Laos for more than 10 years. Staff is friendly and welcoming, atmosphere is lovely, pizza is great but if you go there you MUST have the tiramisù!

Best pizza in Vientiane. Pancetta and potatos it’s a must try, even better with the local burrata. Roberto is an amazing host and staff very friendly and professional

The food is so good and tasty and the service is great. We really enjoyed our dinner here, so we decided to come again the next day, both of the times were excellent. Really recommend coming here if you’re in Vientiane and miss the taste of a good Italian pizza.

An absolutely fantastic restaurant with brilliant staff and a wonderful owner! The pizza was just delicious and we devoured every bite. We were made to feel extremely welcome - and were offered advice from the owner himself which was much appreciated for our choice of dinner. Highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area you will not be disappointed!

The food here was great! We both had the pizza unfortunately I had ordered mine with Gorgonzola but it came without but the politeness and helpfulness of the staff made up for this! English is well spoken here

Authentic freshly cooked Italian dishes, including the pasta! Friendly staff in a hidden street. Great taste and relaxed atmosphere. Good red wine too. Try the croquetas appetizer and the truffle home made ravioli.

Great food at a great price. The pesto gnocchi was great but the rice ball (arencini?) was the best thing we ordered. The table wine was also quite good.

If you are looking for a welcoming place, come here! The staff were smiley and sweet. I felt welcome and comfortable. I'd been away a long time and hadn't really found Laos to be a very friendly place for a solo traveler. Lovely to have a change!

Fantastic pizza!! We took a night off from eating local dishes and we were not disappointed. The base on our pizzas were perfect, with delicious crisp crust edging the generous amount of toppings and just the right amount of tomato sauce. We normally eat local dishes as we travel and we've been disappointed by our occasional foray into western food in Southeast Asia, but not here. We ordered fries too and they were also incredible!!

Basically, if you're italian and you want to eat a proper pizza for the first time in Laos, this is the place to go. All the ingredients are imported from Italy, the service is friendly, Roby the owner is fantastic. Such a good experience

A slice of Italy in Vientiane! From the wines to the cheeses to the fantastic pizzas (the dough is perfect, thin and crispy with thicker edges, they smell divine when cooking in the oven) and tiramisu (we had to order one more, the first one being so delicious) ! Roby and his team will welcome and host you in true italian fashion. Thank you again to you all, for the liquorice shot at the end of our meal also. Just a great experience all round!

    best pizza in vientiane !

  • 5/5 Stanley D. 5 years ago on Google
Our meal here was delicious. We had a pizza with four toppings of our choice for 63,000 kip, although other pizzas start at around 50,000. We also had a small carafe of red wine for 40,000 kip and aubergine parmigiana for 50,000, which was superb. It was busy but our food came out after around 20 minutes; we were initially served the wrong pizza but the staff sorted it out quickly and it wasn't a problem. There was a nice atmosphere where we were sat outside too. Would definitely recommend here to anyone searching for good pizza in Vientiane!

Small cozy place where you can eat delicious pizzas or pasta 👌🏼😋. We had 2 pizza (with 2 extra ingredients ) and 2 coke zero and 2 sparkling water for 162,000 KIP = € 16.20 definitely worth the effort to come and eat here

One of the best pizza parlours in Vientiane. It's always buzzing with people, so come early if you don't want to wait long. Also, finding parking can be a bit of a challenge as it's located on a busy street, but there's a carpark nearby.

Best pizza I have had in Lao so far, and in the same league as Italian pizza in Rome and Naples! This will definitely be a regular eating place for me while I am in Vientiane!

  • 5/5 conor m. 1 year ago on Google
Amazing pizza, honestly been a saviour whilst we are in Vientiane. The owner was also so attentive and kind, was really good to hear how he started up and how all the recipes are from his family line. We will be returning again later this week to try other items on the menu and visiting his brothers other restaurant ‘The Italian Job’ 100% go here if you fancy top tier Italian food.

I traveled the world quiet a bit, regularly having a craving for Italian food. Came here for lunch, spaghetti amatriciana. Wow. Came back same day in the evening for a pizza..... One of the best things I have eaten in my life (Salmi+Blue Cheese). OMG. Blew me away. Incredible. Best one ever. Try and you will be in for a culinary treat. Price doesn't matter for this quality, however, it was incredibly inexpensive. A must. Thanks you Senior Roby!

When you crave familiar food when you're overseas but every place has let you down, this place delivers! I've had a lot of weird pizza on my travel but this spot makes you feel back at home or as close to it as possible. It's pizza done right!

Top of the top drawer pizza. It’s a real treat to come back to Vientiane and eat some Pizza Da Roby. And that he remembered us from our trip in 2019 topped it off. YOU GOTTA EAT HERE!

My friend Paul has been telling me about this place for years. I'm happy to have finally made it back to Vientiane to try it. As a pizza nerd I must say it exceeded my already high expectations.

Came during lunch after seeing how busy it gets for dinner. High quality fresh food for a amazing price! The pizza was beyond expectations and it was nice to have a fresh salad! This place is doing it right!
