I'm pleasantly surprised with this place. I decided to go cause was very close to my hostel. The food was really good and tasty for a more than fair price. The quantity was also good. They have a part in the menu that is completely vegetarian. The staff was attentive even if they don't speak English. They serve you a complementary cucumber salad, the first time I saw that in Laos. I order naan and lentils and pay less than 2€. Definitely it has become my secret spot in Vientiane. Highly recommended for those who love Indian food or just wanna try something different.

Took the wife to this place based on google reviews.... it did not disappoint. If you don't mind walking down a dark alley for about 100 yards then you'll come across what can only be described as a wooden hut like building. Don't be put off though....the food was amazing, incredibly authentic (coming from a Bangladeshsi who eats lots of curry) and delicious! Don't be shy about asking the owner (who is lovely) about spicing up your food too! 5 star food makes up for the decor ;-)

Very good Indian food and excellent service. We were looking for some good Indian food and saw reviews for Zahid's place. He was wonderful with our toddler and gave him some little dessert cakes and a a phone stand. Very personable and great family place. The food was really good and the garlic sauce was great. Our toddler loved the Saffron Rice. The chicken kabob was wonderful and the curry and chicken my husband ordered were wonderful.

Very average food. The chicken Tikka masala tasted a bit weird. Food was also quite spicy despite asking for low spice which meant it either wasn't cooked to order or the instructions weren't passed to the cook. The road leading to the restuarant was a bit sketchy with lots of street dogs hanging around.

Reasonable price compared to other Indian food restaurants I've tried. I always came here, whenever I visit Vientiane. Sadly 😢, uncle Jamil passed away months ago. He always greet every customers and talking about his restaurant's facebook page in his very friendly way.

Good food, made fresh. Good range of meat and vegetarian dishes. Palak alou paneer with spinach and potatoes was excellent. Central location in Vientiane was easy to find using Google Maps.

If you are looking for a decent Indian meal and you are on a budget, Jamil Zahid is good and cheap. I only tried one meal here, it was good, very filling and an excellent bargain, but not gourmet, many people love this spot.

I liked their vegetable samosas. Their naan bread is nice and soft. Menu prices is same or similar with other indian restaurants in Vientiane.

We have ordered fish, spinach with tofu and eggplant. All food was tasting the same, non real difference between them. We would not visit again. Hime made joghurt with mango the best.

Don't read the other reviews. (people don't know anything) Top Indian good and very tasty! We ordered takeaway right after our dinner and still delicious. ❤️🍲

Tasty curry, good value and friendly staff. The portion sizes could be larger and the naan wasn’t the best

No pictures here, we were too hungry! Our food was lovely! I’d read mixed reviews and was sceptical - but it was good ! We had - falafel wrap - chicken samosas - chicken briyiani - banana lassi All were super tasty, fresh and filled with good flavour! Lassi was yummy! They were super friendly on arrival and although it was quiet we were fine sitting on our benches outside enjoying the heated evening without being bothered!

Pleasantly surprised by this place. The location is a bit off the side of the road yet it was still great! We had the pakora, butter chicken, garlic naan, lemon juice and Dahl curry. We enjoyed everything. The butter chicken could have been a bit more creamy but it was still good. The employees don’t speak very good english so you’ll have a hard time if you want to customise something off the menu.

Simply stunning food at a great price. Staff were very accommodating and polite. They made my diSh extra spicy on request and what i received was exactly what i was after. A must if in Vientiane. Cute dog resident in the restaurant also.

A lovely little simple place that serves an awesome mutton curry and Dahl makhini. My partner had the fish curry and the naan breads were so good. Awesome food and very reasonable price run by a delightful lady. A must go to place when in Vientiane.

Authentic and really yummy Indian restaurant. Everything there is made fresh from scratch and you can really taste it. The restaurant is in a bit of a side street, but easy to find. Staff was super friendly. Next time we are in Vientiane, we will definitely come back.

Food great....though not large portions. Service...almost self serve....write your own order & find a waiter/waitress to give to. It can be a bit of a wait...but the food is good. Can be difficult to find.

Great food, great owner /staff, cheap and quite. It's not the easiest place to find, tucked away behind big buildings and piles of rubbish and rats.... but when you get there it really is quite nice. Yes it's not the most hygienic place in the world, but its Laos! The menu is packed with delicious things for everyone even a large vegan/vegetarian options. The food one of the best inidan dishes we have had in a very long time! Then after paying.. with a wallet still full as the food is so cheap, the owner takes a video of you, funny guy haha Seriously really good and higjly recommed to anyone going to Vientiane. I took photos of the menu so you can see the prices.

Located at a corner with poorly designed signage. We're the only customers and service was negligible. We ordered 1 chicken Briyani with Egg Fried Rice and can cold drinks. Lunch costs us 180,000Kip though our calculations are less than the amount charged. The late owner's wife Ameenah who's a Christian confirmed her food was HALAL. Restaurant was an extended from their home. Not Recommended unless desperate for Halal food. It's a NO NO 😞

The woman who runs the joint is a gem, she's very helpful when asking questions, always positive and her staff also very pleasant. A bit in the quiet all from all the hustle and bustle which is good to eat peacafully. Full hearteadly recommend to try her falafels, so tasty!

What an excellent food experience here at this nice restaurant. Staff was super nice and efficient. Food was just delicious and we had a lot of food and lassi including mango, banana lassi + chicken Marsala, cheese and garlic naan, also the chicken with lentil was delicious. I highly recommend this place, probably the best Indian food I ever had (never travelled to India though)

Writing this review whilst enjoying the best Indian food for ages, from the samosa starter, free salad, masala tea, Punjabi chicken masala, garlic naan and cooled condiments/sauces from the fridge. Definitely worth the visit with friendly staff & dog 🐶 Not forgetting the wallet friendly prices 👍 Visited for the 3rd time before leaving Laos, much better food & a lot cheaper than other Indian restaurants 👍

The food taste really nice, the quantity is large and the prices are affordable. The owner likes to take photos and videos with all customers to post them on his FB page.
