Wow.
The
Namkhan
was
an
incredible
stay
beyond
any
of
our
expecations.
The
resort
is
luxurious,
with
beautifully
designed
suites
complete
with
full
length
windows
for
three
sides
of
the
walls
and
a
huge
terrace
balcony
with
an
open-air
bath
tub.
We
enjoyed
exploring
the
resort
grounds
and
finding
hidden
gem
like
an
open
air
gym,
their
yoga
platform
overlooking
the
river,
bamboo
huts
and
their
new
infinity
pool.
I
liked
that
the
resort
is
focused
on
sustainability
and
nature,
with
their
very
own
organic
farm
and
greenhouses
where
they
harvest
vegetables
and
herbs
for
their
farm-to-table
restaurant.
We
experienced
both
the
private
BBQ
and
the
cooking
class,
and
can't
decide
which
is
our
preference
because
they
are
both
incredible
in
their
different
ways.
The
cooking
class
taught
me
a
lot
about
the
typical
herbs,
ingredients
and
flavours
of
traditional
Lao
cuisine
-
and
we
learnt
to
make
dishes
like
papaya
salad,
larb,
curry
and
sticky
mango
rice,
which
we
ate
in
the
end
in
a
beautiful
riverside
hut.
The
BBQ
is
a
perfect
special
ocassion
dinner
as
we
were
the
only
table
on
the
"island"
by
the
river
bank,
served
by
the
BBQ
Chef
and
waiter
who
made
sure
we
had
a
great
evening
-
including
delicious
food
and
lighting
up
a
bonfire
as
the
sun
set
over
the
river.
We
also
did
the
tubing
tour
with
a
guide
from
the
resort.
Having
done
the
famous
tubing
in
Vang
Vieng
down
the
Nam
Song
river
and
the
tipsy
bars
on
its
bank,
we
didn't
expect
that
this
time
we
would
be
alone
on
the
Nam
Khan
river
here.
We
preferred
this
because
we
could
enjoy
nature
without
the
crowds,
there
were
stronger
(but
still
slow)
river
currents
for
a
good
flow,
and
we
felt
safe
having
a
guide
with
us.
A
bonus
was
the
free
shuttle
to
and
from
Luang
Prabang
which
we
made
use
of
several
times.
We
highly
recommend
The
Namkhan
for
anyone
who
wants
a
luxurious
experience
while
being
fully
immersed
in
nature
and
the
Lao
culture.
I
hope
I
will
have
the
chance
to
stay
here
again.
