I recommend this restaurant. The food here uses quality ingredients. Today I ordered beef fried rice. and mango smoothie end with mango sticky rice Especially the mango smoothie tastes delicious. Really sweet naturally.

In the culinary desert that is Vang Vien, Happy Mango is a welcome refuge. Large menu of Thai recipes, fantastic shakes/juices, and a hip environment justify the slightly higher prices. Some Westen options at end of menu. Taste is great but not unforgettable. Service can be a bit slow during peak times but you’re on vacation ;)

Mango shakes were so thick and delicious! Food was really good too, especially the green curry (although the stir fried veg dishes were average). My friend ordered the pineapple fried rice without egg but it came with egg, so be ultra clear when specifying vegan.

We came here the first day of our trip and it ruined it for the other restaurants. It’s impossible to top! It’s a modern, clean place with a huge delicious menu (Thai/Laotian food) and everything can be made vegetarian/vegan. The staff is very kind and speak great English. The prices are not bad at all (around 100.000 for two dishes, dessert, and two smoothies). What to order: we LOVED the Hawaiian pineapple rice. The mango sticky rice was delicious. And...I cannot stress this enough... TRY THE COCONUT SMOOTHIE. It is life-changing. Outstanding. A dream. Please, do it. Also, the mango smoothie is a dream. So I would recommend to order one and one if you are with someone! Don’t order the Pad Thai. Everyone who orders it leaves it intact as it is WAY too sweet (they even bring you a side of sugar in case you want it more sweet). They have good wifi and the service is very fast. My only feedback would be to not use plastic straws/cups.

My boyfriend and I found this place and kept going back. The food is amazing, the shakes are so good and the Mango ice cream is to die for. The staff are lovely also. Only place I had to queue for a table. Strongly recommend this place.

Happy Mango is a "must visit" if you are staying in Vang Vieng! During our stay we have been eating there every day. There was not a single dish we didn't like. The red curry is phenomenal! Almost every dish can be ordered vegetarian and I would really recommend you to try it out. The Tofu is just so crunchy and tasty (the best we have had so far). Furthermore, Happy Mango lives up to its name. The mango smoothie and the mango with sticky rice are both very delicious. The staff is really friendly and attentive! Everything is made fresh to order so it can take some time until you are served (if the restaurant is crowded). But it is well worth the wait! The prices are a bit higher than the local standards but still very fair considering the offered quality. All in all we can highly recommend happy mango. Thank you so much for having us!

We came as a 16people group. Food was delicious but really really really slow, despite we pre-ordered. I would suggest the restaurant to reduce the menu to be able to have happy customers and shorter waiting times.

We had a great dinner at the Happy Mango Restaurant in Vang Vieng. While their team is small the dishes are mighty! Nice friendly service, and the wait time can me slightly long during rush dinner time but you will not be disappointed in their food. We had the fresh prawn spring rolls, Chicken Tom Yum, and a Vegetarian Pad Thai, Avocado Shake, and Fresh Passion Fruit Juice. All of the ingredients were fresh and seasoned just right. A cue formed after we sat down and people waited for the food - with good reason!

Loved the food at this place! Everything we ordered was amazing - loved the drinks, loved the noodles, the chicken stir fry dishes … all yum! And the mango ice cream dessert was great too! Highly recommend.

Went for food what must of been rush hour as it was a full house with only 1 guy serving the tables. The staff were really nice and clearly very busy, but the food was standard, my partner didn't enjoy hers at all (pad thai) but the duck curry was alright. Felt bad for the staff being so rushed, but not a 4+ star spot. Kind of "expensive " for what it is too

Absolutely incredible food! Went for dinner 3 times it was so good. The stir fried beef in oyster sauce is to die for. You can’t come to vang vieng and not eat at happy mango! When we went there was only one server and it was always packed but he is so friendly and does a great job.

This place was great! Nice atmosphere, a little small, but overall cozy restaurant. We started with a tasty papaya salad and duck pancakes. Both were very good and filling. The waitresses were all really attentive making sure our water glasses were never empty. I ordered the green curry, which was loaded with chicken and overall really nice flavor. My wife got the drunken noodles, which were ok, but she was more impressed by the duck pancakes and the curry. We had to get one of the mango deserts so we got the mango ice cream and it was pretty good. All in all, great dining experience and would come back again for sure. Next time, I wouldn't get quite as much food though.

Wow! Amazing! It's a small tourist restaurant (as if theres any other kind here) restaurant and it gets really busy. Could tell from the first dish we are going to be in for a treat. The larp salad was really flavoursome, the duck curry was delicious and the duck was really soft. Mango smoothies are worth dying for (we almost gave up trying to find a good one in Laos as there are so many bad ones). And the sticky rice with mango sent me directly to heaven. Ordered it because the rest of the food was amazing. Restaurant can get busy. This means waiting for a table or slow service. Prices are higher expect 40k per main but with such cooking they can take all my money - I would happily pay 3x more for such food back home. Menus are very detailed, include descriptions and recommendations. They have vegetarian options. Atmosphere inside is very nice with an open view of the street and some trees. Enjoy!

Well, first of all the service is just amazing. People are very nice and friendly. Secondly, the food is very tasty. I had pad thai with crispy belly pork, loved it. For the dessert we shared mango sticky rice, the best one I've ever had! Totally recommend.

We loved this place. Ate here twice. Everything was delicious. One of the best mango smoothies I’ve had travelling Southeast Asia. Also had panange curry and crispy pork pad see ew. Also get the crispy duck rolls!

Excellent food. Loved the mango and passion fruit smoothie. The stir fry bamboo shoots and their spaghetti was absolutely great as well. You can tell the vegetables are fresh.

Ate here already twice! Was really delicious! Take the mango smoothie !! Or anything with mango 😍 We ate a padthai (the best!!) and green curry, also really good !! And the appetizer plate that was also really delicious. Yes you have to wait a bit longer but they warn you about that before and it’s bc they cook everything fresh, so that’s okay. Just get the mango-smoothie in the meanwhile ;) A lot of Veggie options available !!

Excellent Thai food at a clearly very popular place. We arrived early (before 18:00 on a Monday night) and had our choice of tables, but by the time we left all tables were full. The curries were delicious (especially the massaman), but whatever food you order - be sure to get a mango smoothie on the side!

Had an amazing lunch here. Tried the mango passion fruit smoothie, stir fried bamboo shoot with vegetables and their take on a Thai-flavoured spaghetti. Everything was super delicious and freshly prepared. Their fried tofu is one of the best I’ve had. The stir fry comes with a generous portion of jasmine rice and they have a lot of vegetarian options as well.

Foods are at there best that I i have come across in many regions in Thailand 🇹🇭. The deep fried fish was the best. They debone the fish n deep fried crisp. Then assembled them like deep fried the whole fish with sweet sour sauce on top... every bite is......

Busy restaurant with nice vegan/vegetarian options!! Coconut/mango smoothie is a must try!! Also delicious mango sticky rice but wasn’t on the menu so might need to double check with them. Overall it’s a great dining experience :)))

Been in Vang Vieng for 3 days and ate here on our first night, the food is very good, it’s so popular that you may have to wait, but it’s worth it! Served by Donnie who is always smiling, we have had the duck wraps, chicken satay and drumsticks, steamed fish, jungle curry and morning glory, all mains come with rice. We have eaten here twice now😉 Enjoy

What a wonderful place. Definitely the best restaurant in town. We went here three times in a row and always had different delicious food. I highly recommend everybody visiting Vang Vieng to come here! Favorites: Morning Glory, Laab, Fried Fish

Nice staff BUT -Very slow, we waited more than 1h for 2 main dishes, people who arrrived after us were served before us -small portion, I was still hungry ! - not all the dish are good, some are ok some are weird - overpriced compared to other places I do not recommend

On the first day in Vang Vieng I eat worst food in Laos and then Happy Mango saved my day. Ordered Thai Green Curry and Mango Sticky rice. After giving my frustration away, the chef and the manager calmed me down with their friendly and generous approach. As they were closing the restaurant they managed to get me a take away and generous portion. The food was delicious! So far this is a place I can come back in Vang Vieng. 🙏😋

Staff were lovely and super attentive. We shared the mixed platter to start which was okay but very small to share between two people, especially for the price. We both ordered the Weeping Tiger, a sizzling beef dish with steamed rice on the side. This was fine, but genuinely nothing more than fine. I wish I had tried something else as the other reviews we read spoke highly of the food but unfortunately we both had this dish which was okay but pretty bland. A little bit disappointing considering it cost about four times as much as the other local restaurants. Not bad, but felt it was over was overpriced for what it was.

Amazing food. The mango shakes are superb, went back twice for more of them. Lunch is a good time to go, it's not too busy and we were served quickly. We tried the Penang curry with beef, coconut rice and also a pad thai chicken. Both were delicious. You can eat elsewhere for less money (which we also did and enjoyed that too!)but happy mango is still reasonably priced with very high quality food. Highly recommend.

Food was amazing but it came so so so slow, took 30mins to got our papaya salad, another 10mins got out fried duck and another 30mins to got our fried rice. We eat the food separately and it was disappointing. We asked for chili sauce and of course they forgot. We don’t mind if the price is more expensive than others but with this kind of service, i can tell this place is much over price. Place is small and not crowded when we came but they are lack of staff. Please hire more staff and cook.

Slow service, 15 minute for coffee and water? I get the slowness on food, but for drinks? The duck roll appetizer was Luke warm and a bit dry. The mango dessert was excellent tho!

👍👍 If there is something you did not expect in the middle of Laos, is a proper Irish Bar! Good music, pool table. Staff speak good English and they are very helpful and spot-on. The food is delicious and proper, with fair prices. Highly recommended !

👍👍 Damn good schnitzel!!!! This place was fantastic. The owner was so kind and incredibly punctual. It's one of the best schnitzels I've ever had, even better than the ones I've tasted in Germany.
