Decent little restaurant worth a stop on your Sintra tour! Our dishes were tasty (salmon, mussels and cake desserts) and over all good value for money. Staff was friendly and service was good. Got a table during lunch time without reservation but may be different during main season. We didn't try the hostel; maybe next time 👍

Honestly, what a horrible establishment. They give you a bunch of food you do not order and then charge you for it. Also, they tell you they have certain types of food just to say they don’t have it a couple seconds later. I wouldn’t recommend. Old lady has attitude. Stay far away from this establishment.

This review is for the restaurant. Driving there and parking is not easy. The room was filled with tour guides. Seems like a pit stop for that type of thing. Makes it transactional, lacking soul. The space was a dark room with barely any windows. Sad, since the day was beautiful outside. Service was rough. Not a lot of care. Smiles starting mostly from me. More importantly, it was painfully slow. 15 minutes waiting to order, then 50 waiting for the food. If it was predicted, they could have told me when I called to book, instead of when I sat to order. I just wanted to get to the beach. The food was decent. Soft octopus. Run of the mill meat. The fish lacked flavor. I am never coming back.

We tried the Feijoada and it was very delicious, we also had the beef with pickles which was chewy. Also the dessert with lime and crumble was very watery. The staff was very friendly

We had lunch here during our tuk tuk tour around Sintra. I had the steak in Roquefort sauce with French fries, the meal was delicious. My husband had the grilled octopus and loved it! My son doesn’t like the strong cheese so had steak in garlic which he also loved! We started with green beans in a light batter and what I would describe as beef falafels they were soo good. Finished with almond layer cookie squares and lemon mousse which we all shared. Lovely service and beautiful restaurant. Thank you!!

Was brought here by our guide. Shoutout to Mario! The food here is great! The boss makes all the food and desert here. Such a wide range available. House wine is great too! Strongly recommend!

On a windy and cold spring night we just found the comfort of home, family and a cat. The duck experience was outstanding as well as everything else we ate. Christmas lights are still on in the main room bringing cosyness to our dinner and a warm ambiance to the home Boho, relaxed decor. The toilets were not that fantastic, but all the rest was. 3 steps to go for wheelchair users.

Probably the best executed meal we had in Portugal. Amazingly warm and friendly service, and the food was incredible. We started with pumpkin and watercress soup, and homemade bread and herb butter. Main course was cod in olive oil with potatoes which was PERFECTLY done (and a generous portion). We finished the meal with chocolate mousse, which was absolutely divine. Would absolutely go out of our way to eat here again!

Cute little restaurant. The grilled lamb chops, octopus rice, green bean tempura and chocolate mouse are a must try!

Very nice and clean restaurant that serves traditional cuisine. We visited im Oktober 2022 following the recommendation of our Portuguese neigh our. Service is friendly. Pricing is fair. Atmosphere is good even without sea view. Parking is restricted due to the narrow road with walls on both sides. Try the vegetable tempura “peixinhos da horta” as a starter.

Good food. But strange I could not have menú when others were. Both times we went foodninodmrdered wastn available. Service is a bit iffy. Sometimes you get a smile sometimes you feel very uncomfortable. Specially when older woman starts arguing with staff.

Had lunch at this restaurant as part of a one day experience in Sintra-Cascais area. We had a 20€ menu which included drinks, appetizer, soup, main course, desert, coffee and a ginjinha. The food was fantastically cooked and the staff was very welcoming. The restaurant is very authentic and I definitely recommend it!

I loved the food here! I still think about this veggie curry all the time. The butter there is AMAZING with bread as well. The staff was very friendly. Highly recommend

Really friendly staff and delicious traditional food (with Portuguese portions!) 😁 The vegetable curry is wonderful! Others had fish fillets with tomato rice and meat (prego) with fries, which they say were great as well. For starters, good bread and olives, and the melted cheese with pumpkin jam was the star of the show. The vegetable soup was also light and tasty. For dessert, the chocolate and lemon mouse were also very good. The biscuit cake looked amazing... Did not even think to take any photos unfortunately so you'll have to trust my word and try this place if you go to Sintra.

Nice place to stay close to ocean. Oceanview from the open terrace. Yellow old cat that likes to be petted. Calm, good vibes. Tempura - style fried green beans were delicious 😋 That is the grandmother's recipe that should to be try.
