This is hands down one of the best meals I've had in DC. Value for money, flavor, size, presentation; the team here really nailed it! I've been on a bit of a burrito kick, so I tried the Veggie Burrito. They have 4 types of veggie fillings, but here's the kicker: you can just get a mix of all of them in one!! The mushrooms were so well cooked, the cauliflower was lightly fried, the nopales were so savory; it was filled perfectly. In addition, the two salsas they had (Roja and Verde) added just the right amount of flavor and spice to make the burrito a 10/10. I also got the Cucumber Mint Lemon Agua Fresca, which they served blended. Seriously, it was KILLER!! Even if you're not hungry for a full meal, you gotta come try this. I am so happy I stopped by and can't wait to go back. Great service, great food, great presentation, great neighborhood, good prices; what else can ya ask for?

Incredible tacos. I had the fish tacos, and they were amazing. The handmade tortillas were certainly worth the $0.35. Added a touch of their spicy verde sauce, and it was a real treat. It is certainly a hidden gem.

This place slaps. The tacos, burritos, and pupusas are all great, and their salsas are delicious. It can be hard to find authentic tacos in the DC area but this hits the spot. They have good vegetarian options too; everything is fresh and well prepared. If you pick up your order in person the dessert case is dangerous; just go with it and treat yourself to that mango cheesecake. It's meant to be. If you order delivery or carryout it travels quite well, especially for tacos which can become a soggy mess. I have had no problem with that here. It's a family run business with good customer service too. We placed an order with a ton of special requests. They not only called to clarify our order, but got just about everything right. We'll be back!

I was having a bad day and stumbled upon this. The flavors of my empanada were so rich and delicious. My agua Fresca was an instant pick me up. I’m so happy I found this.

This place is DELICIOUS! Best tacos I've ever had in the DC area, as good as I can get back in Texas. Genuine Mexican food in DC- thought I'd never see the day. And they are so nice, very chill place. My daughter declared their empanadas her favorite food! Definitely my new go-to.

Incredible food, truly amazing and no complaints at all! Definitely best (and by far most authentic) Mexican food I’ve managed to find in DC. I come from the NYC area and everything I tried (tacos al carbon, esquites, carnitas burrito, rice and beans, and most of all the tres leches) from El Sabor a Mexico was comparable to or better than what I get at home in both price and quality. Probably best tres leches I’ve ever had, and their tortillas are clearly homemade. Highly, highly recommend!

I had the fish tacos, which was the smallest portio of fish I'd ever seen. My fork is actually bigger than the entire piece. See photo. Then the black beans were more of a soup, with maybe 4 beans at best. See photo. The place had a really cute ambiance and was nicely decorated. The gal taking our order was kind and helpful. It was hard to place an order over the high dessert case blocked by many displays.

This place is a gem. The customer service was amazing and so was the food. the restaurant was clean and inviting. Also, my burrito was a great proportion for the price and the mango with chamoy was sooo fresh. Will definitely return here!
