I went to get fitted for new irons and more. Colby Vaughn was my golf pro. Colby was all business and smiles. He’s an absolute gem. He had me hitting irons and shafts I would have never thought to use. The facility is really dope and has a pool hall kind of vibe. On a Tuesday at 11am all the bays were almost full. They have a private bay for fitting which I really enjoyed. My Wife came with me and hung out while I had my fitting. The beer was cold and I’m going back for woods, driver and putter soon. New irons are on the way just in time for season. Thanks Colby and five iron Dc. Wishing you all the best of luck! I’ll be back!

I’m a big fan of Five Iron in DC! After I heard they were opening last summer, I swung in for a tour their first weekend, and pretty much immediately signed up for a monthly membership. For any golfer looking to improve their game in a super comfortable, state-of-the-art facility, this is the place to go. The staff are outstanding, and the Trackman tech is top notch. Not sure I can go back to practicing on regular ranges, especially with the added flexibility of early morning hours before work. Also a big shout out to Kempe, one of their on-site instructors. I’ve had a handful of lessons with Kempe and I’m already seeing concrete results in my game improvement. I’ve worked with a few instructors, and sometimes it takes a couple lessons to understand even the way they are trying to teach to you. With Kempe, though, he jumped right in with easily understandable concepts and swing mechanics, and followed up each lesson with a recap email of 2-3 lesson takeaways that I would then work on in between lessons. I went from a 16.2 to a 12.8 index in calendar year 2021, and Five Iron and Kempe are a big reason for that improvement! Already setting goals for 2022, with Five Iron’s facility and lessons in mind.

Went on a Sunday, with my son. We hit the museums and then wanted to watch a few games and play some golf. No kitchen when we got there. Staff didn't show. Required my ID for a bay. Didn't come back after they placed us in a bay. Only one football game playing. No explanations of what we could and could not do, or how to work the SIM. Lucky my son knows and set it up. No food, poor service and a cold creepy atmospheres. Total let down, as we travelled and this was one of the fun stops we had planned. Not worth it, go to top golf, or one that is not in a cold basement with no food options.

This place is dope. Ray, the man at the counter welcomed me and explained everything. They have good clubs included in the price with the correct shafts for your swing speed. Sarah, the bartender was amazing. Very nice, knowledgeable about food and drinks, and really funny. Soulafa was painting a sign with advertisments and was not missing a beat at customer service. The golf is really good too. 12/10 would do again. An oasis in a swamp of DC area soul sucking. Do it.

Took a lesson a couple weeks ago with Micah prior to my one golf outing a year with some friends. Micah did a great job of explaining a few things to help my overall swing to improve consistentency including some ways to practice at home without owning any clubs. Needless to say, my outing went well and I was far more consistent then before. The atmosphere at 5 Iron is pretty solid as well although my visit was mostly "business."

Just two lessons with golf pro Amy, and it completely changed my game. She knows the mechanics and is a skilled instructor. I’m a beginner but after working with Amy I feel confident to play anywhere. Highly recommend!

Food was just frozen apps n chips and dip before caps game. Stood at bar for 5 mins with cash in my hand while bartender chatted with his coworkers. Got there 15mins before my scheduled time and was told to wait until they can get me set up. 20 mins later I told receptionist I’m losing money as my time has already started. Not til then did he get up and try to get my bay set up. They of course gave me those 15 mins back at the end but over all customer service was very poor.
