Waltzing Kangaroo is one of those rare "absolutely perfect" places. It's exactly what it says it is - incredible Australian pies and mash. Grab a Tucker Box and treat yourself with a sausage roll and tart. It'll be the lunch you crave every following day.

I've never tried this place before and I was really hungry and I just so happened to be parked next to them so I decided to try them! I tried their Guinness steak and mushroom pie and wow it was so good and flavorful! Better then what I thought. The size of these pies are perfect too. The flavor is there in every bite, fresh, crust is crunchy on the edges. Perfect and delicous. I am definitely going to be returning and I'm definitely going to be spreading the word about this place!

Got a small Steak and Gravy pie for $8.50. Popped it out of the pie pan and ate it like a hand pie. Delicious. Would recommend.

Really, really good high quality meat pies. The last one I had was at an Aussie restaurant in London and this is right on par with them, both very authentic. I did the Guinness and steak and mushroom meat pie, super tender and perfect Guinness gravy, butter and crispy crust. Can't wait to come back to try the others. Nice coffees as well.

This place was recommended to me by a friend and holy cow! What a recommendation it was!! Each bite was better than the one before... Everything we ordered was amazing! If we had tried Waltzing Kangaroo the first night we were in town we might not have eaten anywhere else! Can't recommend it enough!! 6 stars not just 5!

Exceptional! Fresh , holy ingredients, put together in the best home made style possible. Absolutely must try ..I tried the veggie pie with white sauce and it was out of this world. Can't wait to go back and try the sweet pies.

I loved the meat pies. I don't know if I've ever seen an Australian restaurant anywhere else so it's awesome to have a place locally.

My wife and I got the sausage rolls, steak and gravy pie, and chicken madras pie. The sausage rolls were great with their own ground sausage. The dough was not super flacky and a little bread which was satisfying. The pies were deep dish and bigger that I imagined from a 5". Both were super tasty! Perfect crust and the filling was so good. My favourite was the steak and gravy just because it was reminiscent of past pies. Parking was a little tight because it's popular, and the service was behind the counter style.

This review would be 5 stars.....it would be ten stars if I could, except that $4 for about half a cup of mashed potatoes is ridiculous. The gravy is amazing. Even the potatoes are absolutely delicious, but $4 for that tiny serving was a huge disappointment and, honestly, kind of a rip off. Having said that, the pies themselves are incredibly delicious. I will be going back. I've had a couple of the different pies and they are So Good! But I'll never buy the mashed potatoes again.

The food here is AMAZING. My favorite is the Steak and Pepper Gravy pie, and my husband loves the Beef Shepherd's Pie. We've tried most of them and they are all delicious!! The pastry crust is honestly the best I've had - it's always perfectly cooked, never soggy, and it reheats so well. Every time we go we get profiteroles for dessert too, they're SO GOOD. :) I had never had Australian meat pies before trying Waltzing Kangaroo, but this food is some of my very favorite here in Fort Collins (or anywhere else)! More bonus points because the staff has been friendly and they use paper products for take out. I can't say enough how much I love eating here. Thank you Waltzing Kangaroo, can't wait to bring my family to try it out when they visit!!

These pies are just delicious. We ordered a box for the freezer and have enjoyed every single item in it! We will definitely be ordering more. The beef and pepper gravy, lamb/rosemary, and chicken with white sauce are our favorites. The gravy is decadent, like a savory custard. I love the fact that I can eat them with my hands. The crust is a great balance of flaky and chewy. Bam! Spot on!

I have been coming to Waltzing Kangaroo ever since I moved to Fort Collins several years back. It is one of those gems in the wall that you do not find very often! I am from the UK and we pride ourselves on our sausage rolls... but these are other worldly! Some of the best I have ever had. They also have amazing pies to go with it.

Really good small savory pies for a great price. If your looking for something filling, fast, and well priced, you can’t really go wrong. PS. Their profiterole is amazing. Order: Lamb Rosemary Pie, Madras Chicken Curry Pie, Profiterole About: $22 Review: I have very limited experience with Australian food so I was excited to try something pretty new to my palate. The Waltzing Kangaroo is a fairly small store with only six or so seats inside and a handful outside. Their menu is almost exclusively savory pies with just a few desserts, one of which was a profiterole that was absolutely unbelievable. Maybe one of the best I’ve ever had. We grabbed the lamb and rosemary, and madras chicken curry pies and both were delicious. The lamb and rosemary was definitely a darker more rich pie while the madras chicken was a lighter almost creamy pie. We really love both of them though. Another really big advantage is that the food is incredibly quick. All the pies are premade so they just pull them as you order and hand them to you as you check out. It’s super fast to get a very filling meal and honestly it’s not very expensive. One other very cool thing that they do, if you are local to the area, is that they have a large selection of frozen pies that you could take home and reheat at a later time. If I lived anywhere near here I would absolutely keep several in my freezer for days I don’t feel like cooking. We both really enjoyed the Walton Kangaroo and the only reason we won’t be back soon is because we live in Florida. For anyone nearby I’d highly recommend it.

I really like this spot. Been here multiple times. Super solid meat pies. They have various flavors. I have t really had one I didn’t like! The sides are fun too. Everything is highly priced, but not outrageous. If you like the standard chicken pot pie, you’ll love the different flavors here!!

When you walk inside, the smell of meat pies greets you! We opted for lamb and rosemary pies. The meat was so tender, in a lovely gravy! The crust was a crisp and flaky perfection. Dessert was coffee ganache tortes. Yum! I love the option to buy ready to eat pies, or frozen to take home for later.

Love the pies here the lamb and rosemary is my favorite hands down!! "Would you like a pie sir?" Their desserts are very tasty also but a bit rich for my liking but still very very delicious. Definitely recommend to try this amazing little hole in the wall!

As an Aussie it’s always fun to find a taste of home, and the pies are pretty good. Rating is hard… not quite 5-star, but definitely better than 4, probably 4.5 would be fairer. That aside I enjoyed more or less a standard pie, the steak and gravy (pictured). Quite a good pie. Joy had a special, the Guinness steak and mushroom, also very good. Wish they had chips but oh well, as they make the pies themselves, that needs a lot of real estate in the back.

Some of the best food in all of Fort Collins, which is a pretty big accomplishment given how competitive the area is. When I was in college at Colorado State this was my absolute favorite place to go, and I still make a point to visit when I'm in the area. While they don't have the largest menu and their offerings change by the day, you will always find something delicious in here. Though everything is good, my favorites are the Steak & Pepper Gravy Pie, the Guinness Steak & Mushroom Pie, and the Lamb & Rosemary Pie. Regardless of what you get, grab a Sausage Roll and a Bundaberg Ginger Beer to pair it with. You won't regret it!

Wow, just wow. I had the steak & pepper gravy pie and it reminded me of old fashioned pot roast. The mushy peas were unique and possibly the best peas I've ever had. I'm from the South and this was a special comfort food for me (reminded me of home). Love this place.

Let me first say that I have been meaning to try the pies at this shop for nearly 2 years. So glad I finally made it! Long ago, I spent a year down unda and got pies on Fridays for lunch with coworkers and ate them at the beach. This place totally satisfied me and my Aussie wife's cravings for a good savory pie. We tried the Pepper Steak & Gravy, Lamb & Rosemary, the Guinness Beef, a sausage roll, and of course a flat white. All delicious as! The Guinness Beef was our favorite out of all of them. The Flat White really brought me back to my days down unda. I can really appreciate a good coffee. We loved it so much we came back before we left town and bought some frozen pies and sausage rolls. One day when we come back, I hope they start selling vanilla slices! Hint hint wink wink nudge nudge if the owners are reading this. ;)

Picked up a couple of the monthly special Green Chile pies, a sausage roll, and sides of mashed potatoes. Everything was absolutely delicious!! We will definitely be back and soon! I want to try all the pies!

Great aussie pies 🥧, attention to detail spot on! Flat White is exactly what you expect, and everything sides taste fresh. Authentic just like I have had in NSW! You wont regret it!!!
