This quirky bar on Mitchell street is a very popular spot for live entertainment and events. We popped in for a quiet drink as the band was warming up for the nights performance. The bar staff were friendly and helpful and we checked out the menu which looked good. Well worth coming here when in Darwin to check out this colourful fun place

Great place for lunch. They have a $12.50 lunch deal that is made up of a large dish and a drink (including beer or wine). Three seating areas: indoors with ac, outside smoking and outside nonsmoking. Also there’s daily live music. I highly recommend it!

Decided on monnies for a Sunday sesh and I cannot fault this place. The vibes were immaculate! Food, drinks, service = chefs kiss. The lady that served us, I think her name was Carly? Was so so so lovely and incredible at what she does. Thanks for having us! This might become my go to place. 100 ⭐️

I’ve been coming to this place for way to long to admit, it’s my best matés favourite watering hole. The floor is sticky, it’s kinda smells, drinks will set you back a organ if your not carful or planning a big night out and on some nights the crowd can be bloody rough. But, the music is always good no matter the time. The food is great! It’s got a lovely view of pretty much everything going on in the city and the staff here are really nice and make the venue feel like a friendly space. Shout out the the staff member amber, a absolute gem and a great member of the monsoons team.

First time at Monsoons Bar in Darwin. Have to say I love the vibe, the staff are fantastic and the food is to die for. Also went on a Friday night for a little boogie, security were great at their job making me feel safe all night, especially with that fiesty lady Carly out the front. Fully recommend

Alert!! Be careful! The bouncer is rude and disrespectful, and the other security! I was kicked out of the place without explanation, so I needed to talk to the manager, The bouncer accused me of "grabbing girls," which is a total lie and very unacceptable! Because I'm a transwoman!. If they gonna accuse and kick out a person, please get the right reason and choose the right person. No apologies from the person involved! I emailed the establishment, not a single response. Update: The lovely manager Frederica got in touch, we had a conversation, and she deeply apologized to the incident. It was a mistake of their security, to cut the story short. So maybe next time they do their job better so innocent people will not be traumatized and not be accused of any wrongful doing. Frederica is lovely in explaining the circumstances but might never visit again with my friends. Thank you!

Won't ever go to a this place again.. lure customers in with false advertising and no freaking toilet paper at 2pm in the women's toilets.. staff and managers are rude don't be fooled by their pretty pink night starter sign out front cheap $6 beers all day until 9pm cheap doesn't start till 5pm.. but that is not what the sign states.. much cheaper for meals and drinks next door at wisdom Bar and the staff are awesome and helpful..

I had an incredible time at Monsoon Darwin night club! The vibrant atmosphere, energetic music, and friendly staff made for an unforgettable night out. The dance floor was buzzing, and the DJ kept the party going with an amazing mix of tunes. The drinks were top-notch, and I have to give a special shoutout to the manager, Amber – her attentiveness and dedication to ensuring everyone had a fantastic time truly stood out. The overall experience exceeded my expectations, and I can't wait to visit again and create more fantastic memories at Monsoon!

Was disappointed to learn that the 'advertised' happy hour until 9pm had a start time that was NOT advertised... would not have paid $22 per 'bottled' cocktail otherwise. Careful of the false advertising... Staff were lovely. Toilets were in desperate need of attention.

A good random night out on a Tuesday. Had $5 vodka mixes drinks. Great atmosphere, missed a good nightclub night out after weeks of camping. Even had girls put up a show wrestling in jelly!!! Music pretty good, kept me in till it shut at midnight.

First beer ordered was cool at best. My friends batter had some fish in it and my steak sandwich was more like boot leather.

Guys! Sort your stuff out. Your webpage says $10 steaks, so we went in. Not the deal. We were then told $15 burgers with a complimentary drink. So I ordered a drink and a burger. I was then told that drink wasn’t part of the deal but I could get a house wine. So I ordered a house wine….. then the deal changed again! also not the deal…. Ended up paying for wine. Took twenty minutes to order and it kept changing. F k n joke. Major thumbs down. Very slow, very disorganised. Can recommend going elsewhere

Great venue! Good for day drinking, dinner and nightlife. Went there on a Wednesday and had a great night ! Freddy was amazing and very welcoming.

Food was excellent! The Barrimundi fish and chips was cooked to perfection and beer was ice cold.

Been coming for years! Love this place and the people that make it great! Freddie the manager make sure everyone feels welcomed and well looked after! Keep it up

Burger day on Friday you get a burger of your choice fries and a drink for 15 bucks. I reckon ya can't beat the Eggers can't be cheesers is the best, comes close to 1 of the best burgers I've ever had. Do yaself a flavour. Can't go wrong.

Came here twice with my mate, both times great service, but Daniel was an absolute legend. Helped us out clarifying menu stuff, lovely to chat to, just an all round top bloke who really brought the experience up for us

We happened to walk by today looking for a nice place to have some lunch. We are so glad we went in and met Charlotte who provided us with excellent service. We chose the Barramundi dish and and OMG it was delicious. It was on par with a five star restaurant. Yummy!! Thanks Chef and thank you Charlotte.

Lively and fun atmosphere, the braised beef and fish tacos were great, and the cocktails were pretty good too! Bartender was lovely and so was the security who was out front. Definitely going back

Freddie was an awesome bar tender. First bar tender I’ve ever had that seems like they genuinely care about me and my well-being.

Freddie was an absolute legend! She gave us an awesome atmosphere during beer pong and helped out whenever we needed! So glad we spent money with her! I’ll be back to monsoons!!

Good burgers (particularly the Aussi Tower), quick servicing, friendly staff, clean toilets… very good experience! Plus, lunch specials are very interesting! 😉

The last time I went to Monsoons (August 2022) my psychological and physical safety was compromised via an interaction with a staff member behind the bar, who made deeply personal and hurtful accusations about my character (despite not knowing me at all) and attempted to have me thrown out three times. I tried to make a complaint about her to the venue manager and she proceeded to make nasty comments about me right in front of me. I was shocked that this behaviour could not only happen, but also that it was tolerated by the manager and security staff on duty at the time. The staff member that verbally attacked me completely misread me and instead of clarifying or giving me the benefit of the doubt, lashed out. After this disgusting event, I tried to complain directly to the venue, with an outline of what occurred and they responded and asked me for further information. I didn't understand what more I could have provided. I am deeply disappointed with the conduct of the staff member and the bystanding staff, and lack of action by the venue. I have not received an apology or any kind of compensation for this assault on my character and my safety during the event.

Great for a wee walk when you don't know where the public toilets are

They prefer not to open their bathrooms, so people just vomit in the bar. You can have a good dance, but they switch songs every 30 seconds if that's your thing. Drinks are exxy. You can have fun here.

Came here on June 25th because I was looking for a somewhere to kill some time before a red eye flight. Loved the live DJ and the service was wonderful - the person taking my order wasn’t aware that the kitchen had closed the fry station but they reopened it to make my fries! It was Sunday night so not super busy, but great vibes and loved the decor! Can see it being busy on prime nights and a fun time!

Sarz and Freddie were amaizing. Such a great venue loved it. First time visit to Darwin and couldn’t find a better place to have the best time here!! Kudos to you all!! Best of all in darwin! Absolute gem.

My amazing Carly Jones literally who I just met is the amazing manger of monsoons. Carly is service excellence at its best. She was the cherry on the top to top off my week this week with International women’s day week. Her customer service is exceptional. I love the IWD movement it gets me right deep down in the heart. We all need to have each other backs. And a simple hug means the world. 💖🥰😘😘 Everyone needs a hug 🤗

Been here during dry season 2021. Left and come back and the dj is playing the same music. Not sure if they’re aware music has been released since 2016.

Great venue to get the party started. Amber is the best!!🍹🔥🎶 If you could bring back the beer pong championships in the dry season around dusk that would be amazing too.
