Amazing flavor combinations - every tapa we tried was just delicious. The lunch special is a fantastic deal - $28 for 3 tapas and a glass of sangria. The vegetarian tasting plate is also a great deal at $21. Atmosphere is themed without being over the top. Service was efficient and friendly. There was lots of seating inside and out. You really can't go wrong here, there's something for everyone.

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we were glad we had booked at Moorish. Every staff member was friendly, personable and helpful. We had tapas, and each dish was delicious. Our waitress recommended how many dishes to try, and the number was perfect. She was knowledgeable on ingredients and amounts. From marinated olives, lamb strips, African meatballs, jewfish cerviche, roasted figs with goats cheese and more - we enjoyed them all. Dish of the day for us was the bone marrow! Amazing! Dessert was not needed (but we couldn't say no) to the Portuguese tart and the homemade Turkish delight icecream. Other diners - whether couples or larger groups - were all enjoying themselves. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Good food, friendly staff, great location. We didn't have drinks, I wish we had, and also make sure you trust the staff when they recommend food. We didn't go with their recommendations and we missed out on a lot of good stuff. Overall I highly recommend this place.

Moorish has a sensational tapas menu with plenty of choice for vegetarians, seafood lovers and carnivores. We chose one of our favourite white wines to start with and browsed the menu. We chose Jew fish, scallops, pumpkin with blue cheese, patates brava and bruschetta. All of these were above expectation. Really, so good!!! Thus, tonight we’re coming back to try some more. Vaya con Dios! XO

Dropped in for lunch. Fortunately, it was not too busy at the time and there were tables available though usually you would need a reservation. Opted for the lunch special which includes 3 tapas and a glass of sangria. This is a good way to sample a variety of the tapas on offer. We ordered the sweet potato & leek dip, zucchini & sour cream dip (both come with pita), truffle mac & cheese, tapenade marinated chicken, roast pork belly and the calamari. Everything was fresh, well seasoned, delicious and the portions are more than sufficient to fill you up. The standout dish was definitely the truffle mac & cheese. It is brought straight from the oven to your table and the truffle aroma hits you immediately. You can taste the truffle and porcini mushrooms and is a delight to savour. A definite must try! The staff were friendly and the service was great! If you are visiting Darwin, Moorish should be on your list. We live here so will definitely be back soon.

Delicious! I had the lamb with a salad. The French fries were scrumptious with garlic and parsley. They had quite a few large groups. Easy for them to move tables around. Good location with shops around and the park walking distance. They had kanagroo on the menu but I didn't partake. The staff was busy but very attentive and kind.

Husband booked as we’d passed this every morning coming into town for breakfast. Reviews read up well, so we thought we’d try. Easy booking and confirmation. Perfect table. Great service (thanks Ruth you were awesome ❤️) and we enjoyed all our food selections. Will definitely make this one a MUST on our return. Thanks team.

Without reservation, the best meal we had while we were holidaying in Darwin. Good, service and ambience second to none. EXCELLENT 😊😊

Moroccan style with colourful decoration but can get little loud with table arrangements so close to on another. Mostly indoor seating with a few tables outdoor. Good vibe with dinner time service and full house. Good flavour combinations, with various options of tapas plate. We had a banquet for 2 which included 3 Entrees, 2 choices for Mains and Desserts. Staff members were friendly, personable, polite and helpful.

The food was delicious as always, the homemade Turkish delight ice cream is the best, all waitresses extremely friendly and efficient. The only bad part of the evening was the host, he was rude and needs to learn how to treat customers, it seems like he doesn’t want to do the job he is doing.

There is no doubt the food is just fantastic, if not better. I was lucky enough to be looked after by a young Scottish lass called Stella and she was absolutely amazing. She knew the menu like the back of her hand and she could recommend the most amazing dishes. She made sure we always had a nice cold drink, Stella is amazing, the food is amazing, the atmosphere was perfect. Well done Stella and good luck in Australia!

We started with a Pisco Sour at the new little bar behind in Spain Place at dusk, the perfect beginning. A short walk around to the restaurant and we were met by friendly staff who had been informed why we were late 😜 and were very chill about it. Tapas to begin with - tapenade, roasted feta, Ceviche - plus another cocktail and then thoroughly pleasing steak dishes and a salad all shared between two. A good wine list with glass and bottle options, we chose a Jericho Fiano, and tbh I can't remember much after that. Must have been good!

3.75 stars Venue: Moroccan style decoration. Very packed indoor, 3 tables outdoor. Good vibe. Almost full house. Luckily, got a table without booking. Sitting next to the menu table. Always hearing of "bang bang" when the menus were thrown back to the bucket. On the other hand, good to grab a d read the menu at any time. --- 7.2/10 Service: very busy. Very good service and attentive at the very beginning. Arranged a table for us fast. A bottle of tap water was provided. All waitress were nice and serving with smiles (almost). Normal waiting time for mains during the peak hour. The mains were served together. After the mains finished, we waited for a while, not waited, then I grab a menu for dessert (just next to me), waiting again. Asked a waiter who passed behind me to take the order for us. After a while, our waitress laid the table for and apologised. (I think she was off duty soon.) After >30minutes, our desserts were served one by one. --- 7.4/10 Food: wide selection of wine and beverage. A lot of choices for Tapas and Northern African style dishes. Good for sharing. Maybe next visit. Good presentation in Mains. Smaller portion. Slightly pricey. Mains were much better than desserts. Should try tapas (not desserts) here. - Grilled Paprika Octopus with Garlic Mashed Potato, Confit Cherry Tomatos & a Tomato Lemon Salsa, $28: octopus was tender and with grilled texture and flavor. Potato was roughly mashed. --- 8/10 - Tagine of the Day served with Couscous and Grilled Bread, $32.5: it's lamb today. Full of flavor either in lamb or couscous. --- 8.5/10 - Creme Catalana with Housemade Biscotti, $15: simple home dessert. Texture and flavour was good. --- 7.5/10 - Chilli Chocolate Pudding with Belgian Choc Chips Ice cream, $19: waited for >30minutes, too high expectation. Too much disappointed for the quantity, quality and presentation. Not matched with the price. Not attractive. I couldn't pour the chocolate shot. I asked a waitress for help (it's not easy to flag a waitress although many people left at that time). She changed a new shot for me immediately. But I already finished my dessert half when a new warm chocolate shot came. The texture of chocolate puddling was very good itself - lava cake actually. Only tasted a very little Chilli flavor in the very middle. It's just a regular lava cake sitting in a ramekin to me. (I tried Chili chocolate somewhere before). Ice cream was ok --- 7/10

10/10, Amazing place! Food was so tasty, I hadn't tried kangaroo so I was a bit scared about the taste but how they made the kangaroo tapa was so yummy. Jam was so nice excellent service, I would definitely recommend this place, best place in Darwin so far.

It was absolutely delightful dining here! We have always wanted to try this place out due to many good reviews we've heard from family/friends and we weren't disappointed at all! The staff were so accommodating and warm and the food was so good that while dining we were already planning the next time we were going to come back! We had 8 tapas and 1 raciones and we were absolutely stuffed! Great job, Moorish team! Keep it up! Can't wait til we come back!

I came here for a birthday dinner with my family I was very impressed with the service from the staff, the food was amazing. I really enjoyed the Brisket and the pawn curry. the Moorish cafe also had an extensive drinks menu. I had a pina colada and a Turkish delight for dessert. My only complaint was the event was a tad noisy, we had a corner table as well which was supposedly a quieter table. Music blasting away. Hustle and bustle of the service, the cake/glass cooler.

Unique food! We had a real treat tasting the various tapas plates. Our Turkish waitress was a little quirky though. When collecting the plates she would comment how she hated waste and would ask us to take the bits left over...there is only so much pickled onion one can eat lol! Thankfully she too agreed that fava been paste was an acquired taste and took it away. All in all a nice night worth recommending.

What a find! Great food, excellent service, incredible value. We walked into a bustling restaurant resigned to not getting a table. Karen couldn't have been more cheery and helpful. Quickly cleared a table and then food and service was seamless. We had tapis and after 8 dishes couldn't choose a favourite as they were all wonderful. Perfect sizes, bursting with flavour.

We loved this restaurant, the food was exceptional, I wish I could go back again and again and work my way through the menu! It was definitely comparable to the tapas restaurants in Spain. The staff were very attentive and friendly. It wasn’t noisy, there was just soft music in the background, but it had a great vibe. I would thoroughly recommend Moorish Cafe.

We decided to go down the tapas path, although the main meals looked great. The range was good, the flavours interesting. Service was prompt, very friendly and suggestions offered when we asked. Cocktails were delicious and reasonably priced. The restaurant was full and buzzing
